Have you stayed at this host location?
Leave a reference for this hostThis is a secluded property with almost limitless places to park RV's - depending on road conditions. All spots are dirt or gravel. Only 1 spot nearest the shop has access to 30a service. All others are dry. We are 25-30 minutes from the nearest Walmart and 15 from the nearest gas station, so plan ahead. Our location is out of the way, but provides a super quiet place to rest and recharge. Dogs are welcome, however there is no dog fencing, and we ask that you check with us before allowing your dog off leash. 240 acres of property with multiple trails, as long as you don't mind getting your boots a little muddy. This is a working farm, so fires are sometimes restricted if vegetation is too dry. Access to water to fill tanks is available, however there are no dump stations.
All fields are actively farmed - please do not enter them whether on foot or RV
Request permission before building fires - fire bans are common in the summer.
Request permission before allowing dogs off leash
Request permission before exploring the property further than the immediate area around your RV
Please be respectful of our property and our requests
Our driveway is 1/2 mile of gravel. Parking spots are gravel or dirt, depending on where you pick. Most spots are boondocking only, with access to fill water tanks. Rigs 30ft or shorter have the option for a 30a service, but will be parked up next to the shop building, instead of in a location with greater privacy. Some spots are not available if we've had too much rain.
We do a lot of last minute trips, so feel free to get in touch with us to see if we are available.
Bennett Spring State Park - 45min
Lake of the Ozarks - 30-45min depending on area
Swinging Bridges/Kayak drop Lake of the Ozarks - 20min.
Haha Tonka State Park with spring and castle - 30min
We have been hosts for a while, but this was our first time as a guest. They were great hosts, inviting us to play cards, and even laying out a large mat at our door so we wouldn’t track in mud (it was storming the entire trip). Communication was good before and during the stay. They were okay with us using our quiet generator and offered to run a cord if we wanted. My only caution is several miles of back country roads with steep grades, it was no problem for us in a large truck with a 21’ travel trailer, but if you’re in a larger rig (class A or Fifth wheel) then plan to drive well under the speed limit as there are some blind curves and steep roads. If you’re looking for a stay way out in the country with solitude then this is a great pick, we would stay again.

We throughly enjoyed our stay. Hosts were very accommodating with several level spots to choose from. It was very quite out in the country and the stars were amazing. We appreciated having the use of wifi to get some needed internet stuff done. Enjoyed host's very polite son. We still have the sweet picture he drew for us. Glad the tomatoes were enjoyed. Sorry we were out of cell for awhile and couldn't post this sooner. Hope you have a wonderful trip to Alaska and if you ever get down to Florida stop in to see us.
This was just a brief overnight stop with a quick morning departure. Our hosts were very nice and gracious, and we enjoyed meeting and visiting with them. The site was level, very quiet, nicely dark, and had plenty of room to turn around (30’ motorhome) without disconnecting the towed car. The host location is a few miles from the interstate but it was a lovely drive. Directions were clear and easy, though we may have had less contact with overhead leaves using exit #140. A wonderful experience for our first BW visit!
