I live in a 35 by 55 RV barn that I am planning to build out. There is a large parking area in front of it where I am welcoming boondockers. It is very close to the town of Franklin.
I am sensitive to motors running, so running a generator is not an option if I am there in the barn.Dogs can run free, but ones who roam off or run off--although it is a quiet road down below, cars still drive fast on it. If you smoke, I would prefer it to be away from the barn.
The driveway is up a hill, and you have to be able to pull in and then back your rig up into the space, which for a rig 25' and under shouldnt be a problem. The tow vehicle should be unhitched prior to backing more than likely.
Tow vehicle can park next to your rig.
The spot is just one mile from a USFS trail head that leads to a nice waterfall. The trail actually connects to the Appalacian trail, and it is the kind of trail that goes up up up ! Franklin is world famous for gem mining for rubies and sapphires. My favorite mine is Mason mine, where I once found a 3 carot ruby that I had cut. It is a beautiful area and we have the Little Tennessee river for tubing and kayaking.
