I live on two acres, off the beaten path, in a quiet area (eighth of a mile off of route 230,and 4 miles from route3) in Trenton, Maine.
I have lived in this farmhouse, circa 1835, and associated barn, for 21 years. I cherish my home and land.
There is a very large lawn sloping to a wildlife pond. There is a firepit near the pond, as well as a picnic table.
The Camper/R/V site will be in the gravel driveway. From there, the driveway directly accesses the yard, pond, firepit and picnic table.
No smoking cigarettes or any tobacco product anywhere on the property. No illegal drugs. No excessive alcohol consumption or excessive noise. No fireworks. Please respect the homeowners privacy!
Fires can be made for “cookin’ and warmin”, bon fires require a local fire permit. There are grills to use to cook over the firepit.
No children under 6 !
Very accessible, room to turn around, tarred end of public road that extends onto a privately owned dirt road.
There is an extra driveway which will be near the location of the Camper/RV.
Thompson Island. Acadia National Park on both the Schoodic peninsula as well as on MDI. Lobster pounds, a wide variety of restaurants, bird watching including puffin trips, whale watching and/or lighthouse tours, hiking, kayaking, other boating. It’s pretty endless here in Downeast Maine !
All went well, communication was easy and the place was easy to find. Thanks again!
We left early and wouldn't recommend this host. We felt so unwelcome! I was told that electricity wasn't advertised after we arrived-- when it clearly was in her original post. The parking was tight, even to our 23ft camper.
Probably not good for large rigs. We were having a hard time getting our 24 ft trailer in the spot.
Nestled in a quiet neighborhood, full of wildlife, this is a peaceful location. The host was very nice & was full of great suggestions about things to see & do while exploring the area. I hope to return someday!
Kathy made us feel right at home. She even put down a carpet at our door. She is very nice.
Quiet road, good sleep.
Thank you Kathy for your hospitality.
