Great spot... Sheryl & Rick have a lovely spot with access to WiFi, power, water
(with a bit of carrying), great suggestions for nature and food. Perfect!! Thanks
We took advantage of a discreet and secure space made available to us by very nice bondoogess. This is exactly what we are looking for. We did not feel like disturbing our hosts. Thank you!
I enjoyed my 3 + 1 night a Rick and Sheryl's Little Oasis. There blacktop driveway is level (if your rig isn't too long) and wide enough to comfortably Park your towed vehicle. Water and 15 amp electric were offered. Sheryl keep say beautiful variety of plants in the backyard and displays her hard work in the garden and on the porch. There screened in porch is available for lounging and chatting with a couple. Conversations with them are enjoyable. It is indeed an oasis and a great location for exploring the Tampa Bay area.
We had a great time, quiet and peaceful location. Great hosts, just sorry they were ill when we left. Wishing the the best on their future travels. Come visit us in Ohio.
We had a very relaxing stay at this beautiful oasis! The yard at night has lights that are mesmerizing and it feels so lush and green. Although we didn't get to hang out with our hosts, we felt right at home with access to the beautiful screened in porch and we were grateful for the fast internet so we could work. We had family staying in St Petersburg during our stay so we were able to park our rental car beside the bus at night and then venture out during the day and it worked perfectly. Thank you so much for your hospitality R&S. We definitely recommend Our Little Oasis to other travelers!
Nice quiet stay. There is an orange picking market a mile away where we picked oranges. We went to St Petersburg which is about 40 minutes away.
The hosts were friendly and we spent a nice evening chatting with them. Definitely recommend staying there if you are in the area.
Rick and Sheryl were great hosts, they went out of their way to make me feel welcome.
We stayed 3 nights , very good wifi it was nice to meet hour host.
We’re so grateful for the gracious welcome to your charming "Oasis" -- best wishes with going full-time -- it's hosts like you that make boondocking not only possible but enjoyable as well! ;-)
We had the whole use of a blacktop driveway for our one night stay. The husband met us outside and gave us a nice binder of info that his wife had compiled. It had emergency info as well as recommendations for sightseeing and meals. It was very helpful.
It was very easy to find as well.
Had a great stay with Our Little Oasis. Looking forward to our next stay.
Hosts are great, I have been sick and didn’t get to spend as much time with them as I would have liked. Their garden is absolutely amazing and very relaxing. We would love to return in the future.
I really enjoyed my 3 night stay at Our Little Oasis. Right from the start I felt like I was visiting with good friends. We had great conversations and yet I also had lots of time for myself. They are gracious, interesting and fun hosts and have created a beautiful home. I wish them happy travels and hope to meet them on the road.
I really enjoy my time spent at the Little Oasis. Sheryl and Rick are very good hosts and hope to see them again. You will also be surprised by their frontyard it's wonderful, but you have to see it for youself.
Great area. Great conversations. Good luck finding your camper style and see ya on the road or out in Colorado. Definitely recommend this place.
We really enjoyed our time with the hosts here. Love the proximity to places we wanted to see. The book that they have with local info was very helpful. And the dogs were awesome. Hope to see them again.
The hosts provided self check-in instructions but they were still able to greet us when we arrived. They were very accommodating and helpful. They provided park and restaurant recommendations. The wifi was very helpful so that we could work during the day.
We didn't know this slice of Florida was so enchanting. We are extremely happy that we could stay at this home. We recommend this place to anyone and everyone.
Our hosts were at work when we arrived but texted us information on where to park and plug in. We were actually parked next to an Oasis -> on their side driveway looking over their beautiful gardens with live oak trees covered in Spanish moss listening to water fountains. The hosts provided a binder full of information on places to go in the area (sights, restaurants and more ). During our 5 night stay we hand the opportunity to spend a day at the Beach (St Petes), visit the Manatee viewing centre , go to a giant Flee Market and just check out the local area. We had dinner one evening at the local place where our host worked (The Dog House - great food).
We also had the opportunity to spend some time with our awesome Hosts and share good food, drinks and lots of conversations. It was even nice to have their 3 wonderful dogs just relax in the screened porch with us. Hopefully we will have the opportunity to come back in the future.
Thank you very much for your wonderful Hospitality.

We were so welcomed by these two, and felt right at home. During our stay we had all the amenities we needed and were warmly greeted by Sheryl and Rick along with a wonderful booklet of great resources they had put together. We also had awesome access to Tampa and St. Pete while not being in the hustle bustle of the city. I don't even know where to begin with Sheryl's cheescake WOWWWWWWWW!
Very nice & quiet place to stay. We slept in :)
They were very nice, welcoming & they had a list of places to visit & eat which was really nice.
We will definitely will visit again; great location; enjoyed ourselves very peaceful hosts were very gracious and helpful! Make sure to visit the Dog House...!
Our little oasis was certainly that. So lovely to spend the night beside a tropical garden and water feature. Sheryl greeted us and made us welcome. Sorry we didn't get to meet Rick. Left a cuddly little koala to show our appreciation.
Thanks to our hosts for a great location.
We sent a same day request in order to leave a free WMA site that had too many mosquitoes. Thanks to Our host for accepting and giving us a good space to boondock for 2 nights. The electrical cord was great to have but be warned can’t supply an RV AC. Our host were nice to chat with about travel stories and gracious to us during our visit. We hope to return in Feb. 2020. Thanks ya’ll!!
Thanks so much Sheryl and Rick. We really enjoyed our stay with you, even though it was short. Your garden oasis is a testament to your love of you place. We picked up our new little four-legged friend on the east coast and we're back how with our sweet little girl. Thanks again! Laura+Geoff
Sheryl & Rick are very gracious hosts & I very much appreciate the opportunity to stay at their Little Oasis! I shall return if I am in the area again!
A wonderful nights stay at "Our Little "Oasis". Thanks again Sheryl and Rick for allowing us to stay on our way up North. Best wishes from Phil and Jo Hutchison.
We had a great time meeting and talking with these folks. We would recommend anyone to stay there. Nice and quiet, and a great garden.
Very quiet area with a lovely park and boat ramp around the corner. Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Enjoyable stay.
Great climate and great hosts.
We hope to be back in the fall if they have an opening.
Our hosts were so easy going. They were super accommodating for guests. Really appreciated the stay - we were only one night - the kindness was greatly appreciated. Cheryl even gave us a handmade gift from her Oasis - how nice is that!
Nice large driveway to park our rig in, next to a Sheryl and Rick’s lovely garden....they certainly have a knack for gardening! Plants are so lush and healthy.
And, what a nice couple. They both greeted us and made us feel very welcomed. They gave us a long list of things to do and see and places to eat in the area. As well, they gave us a nice little souvenir as a reminder of our stay..so sweet. Thank you Sheryl!
Very convenient. We had friends in the area that we were meeting up with, so we were gone during the days. Rick and Sheryl are hard workers and were busy so we didn’t get to hang out too much. Maybe next time we’ll get to socialize a bit more. Would definitely visit again. Thank you Rick & Sheryl!
We had a relaxing stay at this nice property with a terrific , welcoming couple. It was nice to spend some time chatting with them on the porch. We would highly recommend this Boondockers Welcome property.
Thank you to Sheryl and Rick for their precious hospitality. Nice place not too far from beaches. We enjoyed. Will return anytime.
Linda and Alain
Thank you for a great experience. I'm new to Booondockers Welcome . Sheryl made me feel comfortable ,helped me get backed in and suggested a few nice places for nearby motorcycle ride before dark. I ended my day a few blocks from their house at a park overlooking the river enjoying the company of some of her neighbors. In short I had fun. Thank you again for sharing your little oasis. You are a blessing and an asset to boondockers welcome.
Another great stay at the Little Oasis. Good food, good company, good conversation and beautiful gardens. What else can anyone want. Thanks again for allowing us to come back. Hopefully our paths will cross again. Virginia and Bob
Thanks so much Sheryl and Rick! We had a great time staying @ your place. Enjoyed visiting w/ you both and thanks so much for accommodating us. We checked out the nice park in Ruskin and just a short drive down to Bradenton to beautiful white sand beaches and great seafood restaurants.
These guys were welcoming from the get-go. We checked at the last minute because we were in a pinch and they immediately replied! They were so accommodating and helpful even supplying us with an information sheet of things to do. Thanks again guys! We appreciate you!!
Wonderful hosts! They gave us their entire roomy driveway, and told us we were welcome to set up our chairs, etc. outside, which just happened to face their lovely landscaped yard. They even gave us a three page list of things to do and places to eat in the area. We really enjoyed having a glass of wine with them on their cozy screen-in porch and getting to know each other. If you have a large motorhome like ours, the driveway does slope a bit in the front, so be prepared to have to level, but there is plenty of room for both your rig and toad. It is also convenient to both Clearwater and Tampa. We would definitely stay here again if return to the Tampa area!
Lovely hosts, very accommodating.. and beautiful gardens. A great place to stay as we were exploring the area.
Sheryl has a botanical garden for a yard. Very pretty. Next door neighbors are really friendly people. Rick can give you information about the area that most folks don't know. He steered me to a classic car dealership where I enjoyed a collection of awesome, cream-puff '60s vintage American Heavy Metal muscle cars, easily a hundred under roof. Also the manatee observation post at the local power plant. Nice. THANKS< Rick. Ruskin is convenient to both Tampa and St. Pete, both interesting places rich in history. Likewise, ur welcome at our place, wherever it may be !
They were very welcoming when we arrived. We just wish we had more time to talk to them about travel. It was awesome to get a paper with a bunch of neat things to do in the area and restaurants. We will be checking some more of those places while we are still in the area. The Hot Tomato is a must stop , the ultimate Cuban breakfast sandwich is out of this world!! Make sure to stop at this location if in the area . We hope to see them again!!
What an oasis. You park on their side driveway looking over their beautiful gardens shaded by live oak trees. Hosts were awesome. Shared a great evening with them and felt we had been friends forever. Cannot wait until we can come back. Thank you for a great time. Lots to do and see in the area.
Virginia and Bob
The hosts were great and the parking spot easy to get in to. I enjoyed talking with them and telling stories of my travels. Would definitely go back again.
Thank you Sheryl, beautiful first experience, we were received by people welcoming
We enjoyed our stay in pleasant surroundings. Great yard with large oaks covered in Spanish moss. Pleasant and friendly hosts. Would definitely stay again.
Very friendly and inviting hosts. Plenty of room, enjoyed my stay. Nice spot between Tampa and Sarasota for day trips either direction.
Our short stay was great. Sheryl helped us with an area next to her house for our large rig. We had appointments with RV dealers in the Tampa area and Sheryl was so kind to allow us a place for the night. We hope to stop again going back north through FL this spring.
Even though she was at work, Sheryl provided perfect info so we could get set up when we arrived. Since both her and Rick are working full time, we didnt have much visiting time but their location was great for our couple of night stop over. Hope we have a chance to see them again!
We had a good time in the great location.
It is on our list of sites to come back, if in the area.
We recommend this site.
Sheryl and Rick were super nice and very flexible with our changing schedule. Enjoyed meeting them and their hospitality! We will absolutely be back!!
Sheryl and her husband were very kind hosts. Our rig was too big for their driveway but we had plenty of room along side of their home. Sheryl told us about the Manatee viewing center but our visit was too short to visit. When we come through the Tampa area again, we will be sure to stay again :)
Sheryl and Rick were very nice and easy going. I enjoyed hanging out with them and their 4 legged crew.
We arrived latter then expected so asked if we could stay an extra night. When we arrived we needed to unload our tow dolly before going in the drive way, unfortunately, we got stuck in the soft sand, our host were a great help in digging us out and pulling our 38 ft coach out with there SUV, to our amazement.
We celebrated our success with a glass of wine and great conversation.
