Have you stayed at this host location?
Leave a reference for this hostWe are on 2.5 acres, NE of Colorado Springs, CO. It's in an area known as Falcon, South of Peyton, CO. This area is essentially high desert, around an elevation of 6,975 feet. To the West is the Front Range of mountains. To the East are plains. You can fill up with water before and/or after your stay. We have a 75 lb boxer-mix dog. She loves people, but if you are skittish around dogs, you may want to consider another host.
No smoking on property.
I've traveled for a couple months at a time while pulling my travel trailer, so I completely understand that plans change. If/when your plans change, please make the time to log back onto boondockers and change your reservation accordingly. Thanks!
There is a gravel road for approximately 0.6 miles to access property. Parking will be on gravel.
Tow vehicle can be parked on the property; next to rig, or in driveway.
Pikes Peak, Olympic Training Center, Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls, Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame, Hiking galore
How embarrassing, I didn't realize that we had not left a reference. We had a delightful stay and enjoyed visiting with the hosts. Great location for the Colorado Springs area.
It was perfect for us. It was close to the road, very convenient and accessible .The hosts are very friendly and helpful.
I had a great view of sunset and sunrise from the eastern plains. Easy access and a 30amp plug in the winter was all I needed. I was greeted and assisted with setting up. Great stop!
It was a blessing to stay at Lizzie's mountain view while visiting our son stationed in Colorado Springs. Scubabone were wonderful friendly hosts and it was great to talk with them. The site is easy in and out, level, and we had 30amp hookup. They live close to a community airport so it was fun to watch the little planes, gliders, electric gliders, etc. The view for sunrise and sunset was awesome! Thank you Lizzie for hosting us!
We had a fantastic experience at Lizzie's Mountain View! Lizzie's humans are extraordinary and made our visit special. They were easy to communicate with prior to arrival and were there to help us land well in their parking space for us. They provided a one-page information handout for important amenities in their area. Exceptional people (and Lizzie the dog) to hang out with. Thanks for spending some time with us! It was great to get to know you. We hope to return again one day!
Loved staying here. Hosts were super nice and gave great hike recommendations. Loved petting their dog too! Gorgeous sunsets and sunrises, with views of mountains. Situated great for tons of great hiking.
Lizzie’s Mountain View was a wonderful base camp for us to tour what we wanted to see in the area. Quiet and open and spacious. Lizzie’s human beings are nearly as sweet as she is! What great hosts! Friendly, witty, excellent conversationalists with great senses of humor. We are experienced Ultra Hosts but this was only our second guesting experience and it was wonderful just like the first one. Helpful, generous, genuine people assisting fellow RV’ers to enjoy their time on the road. A beautiful view in a great neighborhood. We hope YOU get a chance to meet the marvelous Ms. Lizzie and her fabulous humans -D & K - (those are our first initials, too, so maybe kindness is an alphabetic gene!)
We would highly recommend a stop at Lizzies Mt. View. The hosts were super nice and very accommodating! It was a very quiet spot, with plenty of room for our 26 foot motorhome and our Chevy Equinox. And the view was wonderful, with Pikes Peak in the distance! We paid the very reasonable $5 per night for electric hookup, and we were all set. We had a very nice chat with our hosts, who recommended a visit to nearby Paint Mines. We enjoyed that alot! Our hosts also gave an information paper with extremely helpful local information. We stayed for 2 nights and couldn't have been more pleased! We hope to see them again!
We had a fantastic stay at Lizzie's Mountain View! It was just one night, but offered much needed quiet and beauty. Easy site to put our rig in and set up. Wonderful hosts to chat with for a bit and then we got out of each other's hair for the evening. Beautiful, big sky views of sunset over Pike's Peak.
We could see Pikes Peak in the distance and were able to take some nice sunset photos. Our hosts greeted us when we arrived and showed us just where to park. It was a nice flat spot with 30 amp electric available. We enjoyed a peaceful nights sleep and would be happy to stay at Lizzies Mountain View again whenever we're in the area.
Our hosts both greeted us upon our arrival. They were willing to point us in the right direction for our sightseeing adventures. We are great full for their hospitality.
Friendly folks, good TV reception, Nice airport nearby for watching Take off and landings. Lizzie welcomed us too. It never rains in California but we got a big rain at Lizzie's Mtn. It cleaned the RV. Thank you for your hospitality. Bob & Judy.
We would highly recommend a stop at Lizzies Mt. View. The hosts couldn't have been more accommodating and the view was wonderful. It was a quiet night after a good visit in the back yard. We hope to see them again!
Scubabone were wonderful hosts! Lizzie was waiting when we arrived and host offered water for us to use. It was the perfect place to unwind after a stressful day and the perfect location for our first boondock experience! Loved the night views, sunrise & sunset. Easy to navigate parking even with our 35’ fifth wheel. Thank you!
Very nice view and cool breeze. Had a really good visit with Karen. Treated no arrival.
We enjoyed our stay and were made to feel "at home". We can't wait to go back! Thanks again, Scubabone!
The host were outstanding and very informative ,kind and generous.Great location and beautiful vistas.i would highly recommended them as a stopping point to get used to the altitude and visit the many local attractions.
We had a wonderful time at Doug and Karen’s. They were super helpful and attentive but didn’t hover. They were super sweet to our talkative kiddos! We’d love to stay here when we’re in the area again!
Beautiful place and Very helpful welcoming friendly couple. They had another guest staying there in a trailer with an aggressive dog. If that other person and Dog is still there I would not suggest this place if you have a pet traveling with you. Other than that it was very nice
I had the most enjoyable time at Lizzie's Mountain View. The hosts were very kind and helpful, we enjoyed a little wine on the back porch one night and chatted about everything under the sun. I stayed 3 days and loved it.
We really enjoyed our first boondockers welcome here. My daughter was sad she didn't spend more time with the dog. Such an incredible service to the RV community.
Beautiful view and lovely hosts.
We stayed two nights in October and it was wonderful! Hosts were so helpful and accommodating, and Lizzie is a doll :O) It was so quiet and peaceful, with a beautiful sunrise on one side and sunset on the other! Would definitely love to stay again!
This was a great stay! Easy parking and in a very quiet area. Windy my first night! My host had resources for things to do and helped me with a camper issue. Discovered a great breakfast at Frankie’s Bar (Thur to Sun only) - real bacon! I would stay here again.
We had a great 4 night stay at Lizzie's Mountain View. The parking area is level and was easy to back into (35' Class A) with plenty of room beside it to park the toad. It was convenient to many attractions and the hosts provided a guide book and list of suggestions for us to check out. We went to Pike's Peak, Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds and Painted Mine. It was also a quick drive to WalMart, groceries, etc and only 40 minutes into Co. Springs for movies, etc. We are super appreciative of these great hosts!
This place was absolutely gorgeous, the hosts we amazing and always thinking on how to better their guest experience. We stayed the max nights and our puppy enjoyed playing with their dog, they both tired themselves out and slept well anxious for the next day of playing. The night skies are beautiful and my wife and I were able to take a few strolls under the stars. This was our third Boondockers stay and it was absolutely memorable. We feel like we have friends for life and looking forward to seeing them again!
Scubabone were awesome hosts! This was a great place to stop on my way into the mountains. Beautiful views. Thoroughly enjoyed my conversations with them both, as well as my multiple times a day play sessions with their lovable pup!
This is our second visit to this location and it was just as great as our first visit. Wonderful hosts, quiet location, adorable dog.... zero complaints! Appreciate our hosts having us again!
This was our first Boondockers Welcome experience and it was so wonderful! We enjoyed the view of Pikes Peak, the country setting and the hospitality. Our host welcomed us and provided us with a list of area places of interest in addition to local amenities for RVers. This was truly an amazing experience!
We were warmly welcomed in person by the hosts and the lovely lady Lizzie their sweet dog. She is so sweet and playful and loves when company comes to visit.
The early morning sunrise was absolutely gorgeous and the cool breeze throughout our coach was so relaxing. They told us about the pond near their house and we had a nice walk to it with our 3 chihuahuas. They were phenomenal hosts and we will definitely stay again when we go through this area.
Thank you for your hospitality!
Erik will be returning July 26th. We would love to stay here again!
Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by our host and their friendly dog. Parking was easy, even in our 35ft Class A. The rural setting was perfect, with a view of the grasslands on one side and the mountains on the other. Easy access to plenty of city conveniences was a treat. We would love to have stayed longer & would come back.
We truly enjoyed our stay and getting to know the owners. They were so gracious and hospitable to us and our children. They even brought us over to meet the neighbors' mini horse and donkey so the kids could see them! Great location near Colorado Springs. Very calm and quiet. Thank you again!
I am so grateful that this option existed! I had to be in town for a long weekend to help family move and I couldn’t find any campgrounds with availability in the area. I thought of BW and was so happy they had availability for me! They were super welcoming and provided me a great, flat sleeping spot for three nights. I looooove their dog and enjoyed walking around the neighborhood with my dog. I didn’t need hookups or water, so I took the spot with the view. I slept great! Thank you!!!
Lizzie’s Place is a wonderful place to visit. This is our fist time using boondockers and the experience was perfect. The hosts were the best. They helped us get situated and even had a handout with local attractions and listings for anything you might need with your RV.
Thank you guys again for sharing your place with us.
This was such a great location for us as it was so close to so much. Our hosts even provided a list of recommendations and other helpful items, such as nearby dump stations etc. This was a very thoughtful touch. The view of Pikes Peak from their place is also very nice . Our dogs were thoroughly entertained by all the rabbits on the property. Really enjoyed meeting this couple (and Lizzie) and would definitely recommend this spot!
Scubabone were excellent hosts and their property is beautiful with such a stunning view of the mountains! We were so thankful to be able to wait out a storm there and enjoyed chatting with our hosts and meeting their cute pup!
Very nice spot to park and great people and dog to visit with. Thanks again!
Thanks so much for the fun overnight stay. The cool wind howled a little and rocked our tiny home a bit, but conversation was very warm and welcome.
If you are ever in Victoria please look us up.
I only met the hosts for a few minutes but they were kind enough to help guide me into the spot on their large driveway (my backing skills are lacking!). They were friendly and the location is in a nice, safe neighborhood with views of the mountains! Great spot if you're checking out Co Springs area.
Absolutely amazing! We stayed 3 nights and couldn't have asked for anything better! Karen was super friendly, easy to communicate with, and gave plenty of recommendations of stuff to do in the area. The location is ideal: a quiet neighborhood near Colorado Springs with beautiful views of Pike's Peak. AND we had 30amp hookup for the duration of our stay. Great experience. Highly recommend if you are in the area!!
We stayed with scubabone 3 nights and it was very relaxing. The host or very laid back easy going and communicated well with us even though I had all sorts of problems on my end with my internet connection. Their location is great not to close to Co. Springs but an easy drive in to all the attractions. Thanks again to both of them. Oh yeah if you are nice you will get to pet Lizzie!

This was a great place to stay. Hosts very nice and have lived in the area long enough to tell us interesting places to check out. We were able to do a day trip to Pikes Peak, and Garden of the Gods. Both are easily done in one day from here. Their dog is very nice and got along with ours. Beautiful sunsets from here, we were never up early enough for a sunrise but I’m sure it’s equally great. Lots of wildlife in the area, biggest bunnies we’ve ever seen! Lots of prong horns in the area. Enjoy-we sure did.
Wonderful hosts who were generous with their time, their property, and their knowledge of the area. My dog will miss their super sweet dog and hunting for Jack rabbits!
The location has a tremendous view of mountains to one side and prairie to the other. Easy access to pikes peak and local sites.
Hope to see the hosts on the road sometime. Stay in touch!
These hosts are offering anamazing view at Pikes Peakfrom your rv-bed. Which star hotel can offer that.
With the luck of improving weather conditions we visited the Peak and returned on this site. Extension with one day no problem. Thank you Doug and Karen for your hapitality; we enjoyed.
We had a lovely stay at Lizzie’s Mountain View! The view is amazing and our hosts were so nice and very helpful. They even had a printout with helpful info, which was useful for us to find a nearby dump station.
A VERY nice overnight with welcoming gracious hosts. And Lizzie doggie kisses too! Lots of room for any sized rig. We thought we might appreciate the offer of 30 amp hookup for A/C but balmy midsummer high desert breezes were much better! Didn’t spend as much time in the area as we hoped but look forward to a return visit.
They were wonderful hosts! They welcomed us with open arms, gave us great options for parking, helped us get the RV situated, and even showed us around the neighborhood! We will definitely visit again the next time we are in CO. Springs!
What a great spot and an even nicer couple. We spent Memorial Day Weekend here! The hosts were extremely generous to us. We had a few issues and they went above and beyond the call to help us. Will definitely stop and see them if we’re back in the area.
Wish we had some time to become better acquainted. We were in Colorado Springs for a graduation and were very grateful for this boondocking home for 3 days.
Perfect location for checking out Garden of the gods & Pikes Peak. Quiet area with nice views & helpful hosts. Our dogs enjoyed a bit of freedom also!
Great quiet safe spot. Level parking and allowed us to fill up with water, very generous. Thanks for being willing to share your home with us.
