Have you stayed at this host location?
Leave a reference for this hostWe live on a country property along the maitland river. Plenty of room to walk and stretch your legs. Not much shade. Good solid ground with fire pit with plenty of wood to use. We have a 30amp plug just inside our shop. You can hook up to the water but it's a long reach. This is a farming community so depending on the time of year they might be spreading manure on the fields. There is also a large Mennonite community in our area so horse and buggies frequently use the roads. Free dumping station 20 minutes away.
Pick up after your pet. Don’t leave any garbage or cigarette buts behind. Have a good time!
We live on a main road that is paved. Plenty of room for any size rig to enter the property.
Lots of room. You can leave it hooked or park anywhere.
We’re away camping a lot of weekends in the summer but give us a shout, there is nearly always someone here.
Lake Huron beaches are less than an hour away.
We had a wonderful experience at the residence. A bonus for us was, the summerlike weather in November. We also enjoyed a fireside evening with the hosts. Thank you for everything!
We spent 2 days with Danson's. They have a great spot there that is well cared for, high and dry with lots of room for big rigs and trailers. We were there with another couple that also had a big rig and trailer. No problem. Spent some fun time around the fire with the Danson's learning lots about travel, tractors, and good times. Thanks again for the great visit.
Although the temps dipped well below freezing, Danson gave us a warm welcome, and were very accommodating. A great couple, and a beautiful part of Ontario. We hope to come back again
We enjoyed a nice weekend with friends late in the season. Hosts kept our trailers warm with full hookup. Thanks!
Lovely country side with beautiful waterfalls.
Thanks for visiting with us in your nice warm workshop too on Friday night.
See you soon!

Terry & Wendy are the most gracious hosts. They met us with a smile and had us park down near the fire pit. It was just like being at a campsite.
Out two girls had a great time running around the cut trails. Terry and Wendy spent time around the fire with us with great conversation. The next morning they even took us all on a tractor ride around to a couple of farms. My girls absolutely loved this. In their words - best camping trip ever!
Our ferry arrived late from Manitoulin but the Dansons were so accommodating and stayed up to guide us onto their site. They set up a bonfire for us, unfortunately we got there too late and was rained out. This was the first time we tried boondocking with an RV. It was a great experience. They are friendly and knowledgeable! Communication was pretty rapid. I highly recommend a stay here!
T and W are friendly and down to earth; wonderful hosts! We enjoyed great campfire conversations in their private camping area complete with firepit and adorable little dog Pippa!
Hope to visit again soon or they are welcome to our neck of the woods too!
We had a great visit enjoyed the company.
Want to do it again.
Thank YOU both.

The Hosts are great people we had a great time.
Thank YOU.
We were met and greeted by our host couple, they had a campfire started and we exchanged stories and talked around the campfire until after dark. Great people to visit would welcome the opportunity of a visit again. Gordon and Anne
The “Danson”s are wonderful hosts and we enjoyed great conversation.
Prior to our arrival they made great suggestions as to what we could do on our visit here.
The accommodations were very comfortable and included a 30 amp plug, picnic table and fire pit!
We will definitely return when crossing over the border sometime!!
We had a great evening at Howick Hideaway. Our hosts were gracious and fun. We spent a few hours swapping stories about RVing and travelling. The site was huge and quiet in a beautiful country setting. We hope we'll meet up with our hosts again!
