Our home includes access to a pond with kayaks, canoes, and fishing. For safety I would request anyone using the boats to wear a provided life vest(flotation device). I have a workshop and have access to many types of tools if you have any minor problems that may need attention to your rig. I have a decent background in mechanics and can assist in repairs if available. We have traveled most of the continental US, the interior of Mexico, and are very knowledgeable of Central Florida / Nature Coast area.
*Special note- I was not able to host for several months this year and the dates I thought were blocked were not. The email account that I associated with this site was not one that I checked with any regularity so my response rate fell dramatically without me realizing it. I am now notified in a more effective manner when there is a request, so please do not hesitate to send one.
We travel during the summer (first of June til first of August) and will be unable to host during this time. Also, Christmas, Thanksgiving, and the last week of March we will most likely be unavailable to host. All plans subject to change, so just send a request and we can possibly fulfill it. Dogs, cats, and children are no problem. There are a few dogs that visit the property, so be mindful if you have a pet.
My home is located approximately 3 miles from exit 54 of I65 and 1.5 miles north of HWY 31. The RV parking area is connected to my circle drive. The drive is height restricted on the East side of the circle and is very tight for a vehicle of more than 20 feet on the East side. I regularly pull my 33' class A on the West side of the drive(left side coming from road). My drive is asphalt, and a class A up to 40' will have no problem making the turn into the drive.
Parking will be between the home and the pond.
We have several acres so parking for a tow in no problem.
Although we travel quite a bit during the year, we maybe able to accommodate, so just send a message. If the dates are blocked in June, July, or August, we will probably not be able to host.
Atmore has many restaurants, a coffee shop, and a great public library. The Poarch Band of Creek Indians operate a casino(6 miles) that has an entertainment center that offers a movie theater, bowling alley, concerts, and arcade. The tribe also has a wonderful (small)museum that is within 5 miles that is a great cultural experience if you have an hour or so. The last I went, it was no charge. A Walmart is located 1.5 miles away as well as a coin laundry.
Awesome people, amazing spot, accommodating, kind... just a perfect spot to be away from
It all for a few nights.
The hosts played frisbee with my son, walked us around the property and were engaged, yet respectful of our space as well.
very nice stay, host were away but directions were easily followed. Night sounds were great! Pond frogs, I recorded
for my digital records. Will definitely consider staying here again.
Had a great evening at 'by the duck pond.
Location was wonderful with the sunset view over the pond.
Gulfmaco family was a treat to talk with and just unwind from 3 days of travel.
They made sure we were comfortable, and after that we visited with them for close to an hour just talking about travel and life expreiences.
Great people.Great place.
Will jump at an opportunity to visit with them again
This was my first experience. I was warmly received by the Jason family. We soon became good friends. I also tried to slowly learn English from them and it felt great. The host ’s small lake is full of vitality and vitality, and the scenery is very charming. I also learned to cast a net with Jason and share Chinese food with them. If I have the chance, I will stay with them and spend the weekend with them. Thank you very much
So many thanks to Our hosts for welcoming us to their beautiful property. Jason assisted us with where to park on their beautiful pond (ducks and geese made for a perfect backdrop). The town of Atmore is a two mile walk and well worth the time to explore.
We stayed here for two nights. Peaceful place, beautiful pond and nice trails for walking dogs. Our hosts were very nice and friendly. They even gave us a little electric heater as a gift! So sweet and kind of them. Much appreciated!
We had great conversations about RVing in Mexico and in the USA. Thank you so much for all the great tips and info y'all!
We arrived for a two day stay in the mid afternoon.. The road leading up to their house has some low hanging branches over the road so go slow. The hosts could not be there when we arrived, but gave us instructions on where to go when we arrived. We got setup right near the pond and they joined us later in the evening to chat and were fun to hang out with. We had a little trouble finding a somewhat level spot that would fit our 36' motorhome with slides on both sides, but with a little trial and error eventually found something that worked out for our large rig. The location ended up being fantastic with lots of trees that provide shade and a direct view out the window of the pond which is alive with bugs, birds, ducks, geese, etc. It's fun to just grab a chair and watch the birds fly around while snatching insects out of the air as well as the ducks and geese cruising around the pond. It was late May for us and the days are warm, but the evenings are cool if humid. There is a Walmart about a mile away if you need to do any shopping.
Great spot by the pond. J and K very hospitable. Enjoyed the night.
Jason and Kelly are simply awesome hosts. They're incredibly gracious with loads of travel experience and great conversation to share. Their property is incredibly peaceful and very close to town if you need to restock your supplies. You won't be let down!
Wow, I woke up the the best view next to the water with the ducks and swans. The hosts were very welcoming and kind. I really appreciated this place to land for the night so thank you for your hospitality!

A great welcome from Kelly, Jason and his little family. A splendid place with splendid people. Thank you for your hospitality
We had a warm welcome from Kelly and Jason, despite chilly temps. Friendly folks, nice setting by the pond, and on a quiet road – what's not to like? We went to the excellent Poarch Creek Indian Museum before leaving Atmore. We give it 5 stars!
