The house sits in front of a large pond. We have a floating dock that people love to take their morning coffee and sit still on the dock counting fish while enjoying their coffee. We are also within 15 km of 2 golf courses. (Pike Lake Golf Course and Mount Forest Golf Course) 10 minutes to Mount Forest to get a little shopping done. Suggested Local Attractions:As we love to ride through the property with the horses, there are lots of trails to explore. The pond is stocked but it's catch and release unless your cooking supper that night for all. But check with whoever is home about fishing first. You can keep any sunfish you catch but the stocked trout/Bass are for my supper. LOL

House Rules

We are non-smoking, but smoking is ok but keep your butts off our land, as we don't want to see them on the ground nor does the next Boondocker want to see them. We also don't need grass fires or barn fire, so smoke in or next to your RV. Children are all welcome, but the property is not safe to let them roam as there is lots of water and horses for them to get hurt by. Respect our land and keep it clean. We should only see your tire marks when you leave the area you stayed in. If you would like to do something, ask and we may assist you. No going into barns or buildings without someone with you. We do have some watercraft which you are welcome to use but please check first in case there are issues with something or instructions needed. Bring your own life jackets (COVID)

Location

Access Road Conditions: The Access road is gravel. If you have a very large RV you may need to park in the front field which is open, so pull-through is possible. This field does normally have horses in it, but they can be put installs for a night or two. Near the barn, there is room to turn around, and parking in the barnyard area is also OK but may need to move if other access is needed temporally but never at night and is not pull through. There is lots of room for wide turns. There is room near the house but smaller RVs can only fit. The roads/trails to the back of the property are narrow and small vehicles can get back there, but it would be your call after you walk the road. Trees will rub your RV, but the road condition is solid. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Anywhere near your trailer location selection. Depending on the location you would like to put your trailer/Rig there may be no room for your tow vehicle. Parking on the property is not an issue. There are only 2 spots with power, but the spot behind the house has the best power next to the solar array. The other spot has a weak 15 amp and is easy to pop the breaker. Even though I show there is no Pull-through parking. it is very easy to turn around in the main yard, but if you want a better view and better power you will need to be able to get out of the tighter area, but everyone so far has had no issues getting out. We had 3 - 30 foot trailers in behind the house and we got them all in and out with no issues.

Welcome to the Butlers. We are Bob, Ron, and Nancy. Details: Friendly, easy-going bunch/Cowboy folk! The property is large and has a few spots to select depending on your rig and personal choice plus the ability to move the rig into some tight spots if you want a good view. We ourselves have a 32' Motorhome and a Truck with a 30' travel trailer totals over 50', that we have no problems turning around once into the property. The front field in September hosts a good number of horse trailers/riders every September long weekend. This weekend we don't take Boondockers, as we are full. We have had over 30 horses walking the trails of the property. Home Town: Ayton, Ontario. A small town with an old Mill that still can be seen in town. Mostly Farmers in the area. There are also lots of Golf courses in the area also. Favorite Boondocking Locations: We have been boondocking/Harvest Host to the East Coast. Every spot we selected was very good. The people are always friendly and accommodating. We had large spots that you could move any rig into and we had some that were interesting to get into. We even had a couple of locations that were better than a campground as we had full hook-up. Skills or Expertise to Share: Horseback riding, Farming, Wi-Fi if needed. Tools to help fix small repairs.

From the moment we got to the property, we felt like we were home. Bob, the host, helped us get to the spot on the pond. Had a beautiful view of the pond. Once settled in, Bob took us up to see the horses. After that, he took us through some of the trails of his 100 acre property. Every second of the stay was enjoyable, relaxing, and a lot of fun. The hospitality was extended by Gary and Ang, Bob's kids. Nancy is also a very nice lady. Can't say enough good things about this family. If you're looking for some real country hospitality with a great spot to rest, you need to visit this site. We will definitely return!

We enjoyed our stay at rhe Buttlers, we had to be in the area to babysit our grandkids, and being full time needed a plave to stop over. local parks were full so I looked on Harvest Hosts which led me to the Buttlers. We were not really sociable guests as the stay was during a heatwave and a mosquito infestation, so we had all blinds closed when we were there, but mostly just used to to sleep as the rest of the time was up the road with the kids. Bob was welcoming and helped us get into our spot. For a large rig, its tight and because we were in a brand new truck/rig combo with not a great deal of experience in handling yet, we chose to play it safe and park further up close to the property, so sadly we didnt get the beautiful view that is possible to get to with a smaller rig/more experience. we were in a 43ft Fifth wheel. would highly recommend and love the fact that Bob allows stays of several nights. Thanks for having us Bob, sorry we dodnt get to visit more!

Unforgivable stay with with these welcoming and engaging hosts. Since the first greet and throughout the stay they pored out their true down to earth Cowboy hearth as they guided me to the best spot by the pond and took me on a tour of their beautiful property and the neighboring farms the following day. I felt special, but that's just the way they are. Thank you Butlers for this memorable stay, and i truly hope I'll have another chance to stop by again in the near future.
