It was perfect. We were situated on the side of the lake with small boat access. We had a great visit with the owner, unfortunately her husband was not feeling well, so we did not meet him. Maybe next time. There is a float plane company on the lake so we had plenty of entertainment. It was a little noisy, if you don’t like planes. We loved it, so it was no problem at all. We would definitely come back again.

We absolutely loved the view! The hosts were very gracious with offering water and electricity. We stayed two nights so that we could tour the area. We have a 33 foot Class A motorhome and tow a vehicle and there was plenty of room for both. They offer a fire ring also. We highly recommend staying here if ever in the area.

We got to park right at the lake and my dog played and played. Ellen took us on a hike with her dogs. She also shared delicious fresh cooked salmon. Sooo good! Had a great time at Captain Cook's State Park walking the beach and picking stones (until the tide went out). Thank You Ellen and Duane.

Duane and Ellen have a location at the lakeside end of an unused gravel runway. Very quiet except for the occasional float planes on the lake. No problem with that. Nights were quiet and included hooting owls and howling loons. Very peaceful. Hosts are very friendly. We spent time discussing salmon and Alaska life. We would stop there again.

Ellen met us in the drive, engaged in a nice visit, and then escorted us to a large and level site for our 2 night stay. She joined us that evening for a beer and great conversation on the lake's edge. The surroundings are beautiful and so serene. They made water and electricity available which we definitely appreciated. Unfortunately, Duane was not feeling well so we didn't meet him but Ellen was an unbelievable host. We would definity stay again.
