This is a 100 acre horse farm, so there's LOTS of freedom and privacy available. Pets are welcome as long as they're friendly and don't pester the horses. Off leash is at your own risk, parking area is 1/2 mile from 4 lane highway. We have one spot with 30 amps, water and sewer, another with 50 amps and water, and LOTS with 15 amps and water.
All paved. Turn off 4 lane highway onto single lane paved drive, 13' wide, please swing wide to avoid our mailbox. Right angle turn downhill at end to parking area, no problem for our Class A with toad.
We have a large level paved area that any size rig and trailer/toad can park on.
Y'all are welcome any time we're home, but the moss doesn't grow on our motorhome.
Watts Bar Lake boat ramp 2 miles. Scopes "Monkey Trial" museum 25 miles. Tennessee Valley Theater (community) 7 miles. Cumberland County Playhouse (professional) 40 miles. Swimming hole in White's creek 2 miles. Gas & diesel 1 mile. Propane 10 miles. Grocery 7 miles. Lots of hiking nearby.
I had the best time at 100Aker Woods! I saw horses, deer, and even a Little turtle. The Host & Hostess gave me a full tour if their unique home, thier property, and I met a few 4 legged friends as well. My 5lb 4 legged Danni was welcomed by all.
I was offered 39 Amp hook up, water hook up from thier well for my RV, and sewer was also available. My RV was parked along side the plane hanger and I enjoyed a great view of the grass runway and a heard of horses that came down from the hill. One evening while eating my salad outside I found 3 Deer watching me from the hillside. Very peaceful and quiet area. I was the only boondocker on the property as they has space for more. I can’t say enough about my Hosts, wonderful people! I hope I can return, I think I have made new friends? I hope they didnt mind how much I talked? I wont reveal the magical stuff I felt while here, Dont want to spoil it for anyone!
My host met me and pointed out where to park my rig. He is a very personable gentleman who loves his toys. He has two antique firetrucks along with several other toys in his garage. I love old trucks so looking at these amazing machines up close with worth the visit alone.
If you stay at 100 Aker Wood trust the directions provided by the host not your GPS.
We have stayed at 100 Aker 3 times in the last month traveling around Tennessee, NC, and Georgia. This property is absolutely magical. The full hookups are just a bonus. Phil and Margie are now our forever family and we look forward to seeing them out on the road, or maybe another stop back at their place to fill our hearts. If you are in the area and have the opportunity to spend some time here you will be rewarded with so much peace and beauty. Not to mention all the sweet animals. Love you guys!!!
We had a great stay at 100Akers! Phil welcomed us and we had a great visit with him in the morning. This was our first BOONDOCKERS Welcome visit and he certainly set the bar high. He had everything we needed for our quick stop. We would definitely recommend staying here if you are ever passing through Knoxville area!
We really enjoyed our stay at the 100Aker Wood for one night! Our host was awesome and we shared many stories with him. The property is one-of-a-kind and he is very generous with full hook-ups. We loved seeing the beautiful horses, property and even the fireflies at night! We would definitely stay again. Thank you!!
These folks can't be described in simple words. Phil helped unclog my shower drain, drove my daughter and I to a concert and brought us into his home like family. We are forever grateful for this website.
Such a beautiful property and AMAZING hosts. We were very late arriving due to some travel woes along the way and they bent over backwards to be super helpful and were extra patient with our delays.
We only wish we had more time to get to know them and really look over their lovely land.
If you get a chance to stay here you will not be disappointed!
We cannot say enough about our stay at 100akers. We had full hookups!!! and our own private space. So peaceful and so quiet. We ended up staying with Phil and Margie for 8 days. We were invited into their home like family. Sharing dinners and playing games. Margie took all of us for a day playing with the horses. Phil shared his love of planes and home building with us. So many great conversations and sharing of their lives with us.They have an amazing piece of heaven in the woods of Tennessee. Absolutely magical at night sitting on their grass run way watching the fireflys dance. If you are in the area and have the opportunity to meet them and stay. Go for it!!!
See you both out there on the open road. xo
We we're unable to meet at this members property due to storm coming in. We contacted member explaining our need continue traveling. They understood. I suggest our stay be credited to them as only thing missing was us.
I stayed a little longer than originally planned because there is much to do in the area. My host was exceptionally nice and helpful during the setting up process. I was parked between two airplane hangers and had full hookups. There is a very long runway of grass in which to walk my dogs and otherwise I was parked on concrete. I saw fireflies, horses and even a deer who eluded my camera! This is a solid site off the highway about halfway between Knoxville and Chattanooga with lots of beautiful scenery in either direction.
I recommend this site and the hosts.
I was looking for a place to write a review of our stay with the 100 Akers. I guess this is it, don’t see anywhere else. Unfortunately we didn’t get to me Phil’s wife, but if she is anything like him, she must be amazing. Phil is one of the nicest, down to earth and most inventive guys I ever met. He tools us into his house (I should say castle) and have us the full tour. I don’t want to spill the beans and ruin a visit by others. Just be aware that this is not a normal house. It’s custom built and will take your breath away. The centerpiece though is Phil himself. We talked for hours about a variety of topics. I can’t imagine a more gracious host. If you go near his home and don’t attemp to book in for at least a night you’re making a big mistake
We had a fantastic time with Margie and Phil at the 100 Akre Horse Farm. The beautiful farm, the horses, the fun hike with Nash, their grandson, the amazing castle that Phil designed and built. We feel that they are wonderful host and hostesses. We are so excited to be able to enjoy Boondockers Welcome. We are making many new friends and having wonderful experiences.
Our stay with Phil and Margie couldn't have been better! We were traveling with our 2yr old and our golden retriever, and they were both welcomed without hesitation! Margie brought some of her grandchildrens toys down for our daughter to play with, which she loved! Our dog Harley made friends with one of the dogs on property and had a ball running all over the place! Margie and Phil are super friendly and welcoming, we can't wait to stop by again and hope to see them on the road!
We absolutely loved 100 Akers! The whole farm was beautiful. Our hosts were more than welcoming and accommodating. They even invited us right into thier home and shared some of the best imported cheese I have ever tasted! Thier horses were sweet and friendly too. This is a place you definitely want to check out if you are in the area!
