Room for most any size rig, I used to own a Semi and driveway was built to accommodate it. Water available although a long hose will be needed. Large back yard with fire ring,
Please respect our property.
Please pick up all dog poop.
We've had a couple dozen people stay with their fury friends. On one occasion we found poop on the lawn. Happy no one stepped on it. We would hate to deny future pets.
Please don't ruin it for our future guess.
Thanks in advance!
Off a country road, we have a long (800' +) gravel driveway through small field to our home in the woods, driveway can accommodate most rigs.
Lots of room off street to disconnect

Dine with beautiful view
One of our favorites is The Bayside restaurant in Westport. It's on your way to Gooseberry Island. They serve quality food, although a bit pricey. I suggest checking it out for a cup of coffee and a homemade muffin. Outside seating so you can enjoy the beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean!
The Sail Loft restaurant has half priced appetizers 4-6 on weekdays. Located in Padanaram ( small village in Dartmouth) outside seating overlooking the harbor.
The Back Eddy in Westport, expensive, beautiful view of Westport harbor. Worth going for a drink and sitting on the outside deck overlooking the harbor.
Another favorite seafood restaurant is Cape Quality Seafood 657 Dartmouth St. S. Dartmouth. They have a seafood market attached to the restaurant. Local fresh seafood. simple restaurant, no view.
Historical store and restaurant with WIFI
The Wild Honey Cafe is a very quaint restaurant that has WiFi and serves quality breakfast sandwiches and lunch. Davol's country store at the opposite end of the big yellow building and worth checking out. Unique items, along with food items. Great place to take kids for an old fashion penny( nickel, dine, quarter) candy experience.
The Head Town Landing Country Store is famous for home made donuts, a cute spot for ice cream, coffee and to relax on a bench outside the store. There are picnic tables and benches. Make sure you take a pick on the Tourist Bench! It's Located across from the Westport River where you can rent canoes and kayaks. 20 minutes from our house. If you're in the mood for an ice cream sundae, this is the place to go. Their medium Sunday is big!
Beautiful view of the harbor.
Padanaram is a small quaint village in Dartmouth, which lies along the Apponagansett River. The two main streets are lined with wonderful specialty shops, restaurants, and galleries. Beware things are expensive, but worth the visit to the village just for the water views. 10 minutes from our house. Definitely worth the trip. Awesome sunsets.
Newport, RI
The cliff walk is a 3 1/2 mile scenic path along the coast with beautiful views of the ocean on one side and the Breakers Mansion. There are 5 different mansions to tour. I recommend you check out the web site before you go for ticket prices and hours of operation.Ocean Drive is definitely worth the ride while your in Newport! In July on Breton Point they usually have a big kite festival. While there Thames Street and America's Cup Ave is worth checking out. I recommend the Brick Alley Pub for lunch or dinner. Good food, large selection, reasonable prices. It has a big yellow awning and great decor!
New Bedford ( history buffs)
The Whaling Museum, the Seamen's Bethel, Fort Taber and the fishing pier and cobblestone roads are worth visiting.
The Black Whale restaurant overlooking the fishing boats is worth checking out.Take a picture on the huge Adirondack chair.
No Problemo, a very popular Mexican restaurant in the heart of New Bedford has quality food, reasonable prices. Cash only

The SpiritTravelers were incredibly kind and accommodating in finding someone to help with repairs. Large beautiful acreage, fire ring and off leash area for pups. (Just make sure pup is up to date on tick treatments.) Had the weather cooperated, would have loved stayed longer with this great couple and explored area more.
Thank you so much to The-Spirit-Travelers for your hospitality. We had a great night’s sleep in their peaceful field. We also enjoyed a relaxing dinner by the fire, thanks to the fire pit and the wood they provided. So appreciated!! They gave us a great recommendation to watch the sunset on Gooseberry Island. Absolutely beautiful!!
This was a wonderful BW experience. Would do it again in a heartbeat.
Our Host was awesome!! They provided great information about local attractions, which allowed my wife and I to enjoy the perfect sunset in the most romantic setting. I can't thank them enough for our stay!
Beautiful farmland area, the hosts had a fire pit and firewood set out (unfortunately it rained) would stay again!
Spirit traveler gave us huge choice of where we wanted to park. Helped us into the nice level field. (We came too far down drive). Pretty view of hundred year old stone walls and gorgeous trees.
Thank you Spirit traveler!
We appreciated the peace and quiet. We were able to relax and unwind. Thank you so much.
We had such a great time!
Hosts were welcoming and helpful and made us feel at home and relaxed.
We had a nice, quiet spot, easy to get into and set up.
The detailed notes provided in the listing were really helpful. We had a lot of fun exploring, and look forward to staying here again and experiencing more of the area.
Very friendly host. The spot was spacious and quiet. Great stay! Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area.
What a treat. I had such a relaxing two days. Thanks for a great place to stay!
If you like the country and farm land which is near the beach, you will love The Homestead. 5 minute drive to Gooseberry Island where we spent a lot of time during the weekend. Would absolutely come back again.
Although we weren’t able to park at their house, the field was nice & quiet and worked out fine. Thank you!
My husband and I had a fantastic stay with The Spirit Travelers. It was extremely easy to park our RV and towed motorcycle, and it was just a quick 10 minute ride to gorgeous beaches. They helped us out with dining suggestions for our 10 year anniversary dinner, and we LOVED our experience dining on the docks at Back Eddy's. Thanks for the tip!
We also had a fantastic campfire on their property under an incredibly starry sky. What a beautiful area of the country. It's stays like this that make us SO SO SO grateful that we found out about Boondockers Welcome. Amazing that we could park such a huge RV so close to beaches, restaurants, shops, etc.
Thank you so much for your hospitality!!! If we're back up in coastal MA, we hope to see you again!
Used this nice quiet place as a homemade to see Newport. Such nice hosts!
John has a beautiful place in a quiet rural area. Although our visit was short, it was perfect. Just a couple of miles from the ocean, we spent some time on Gooseberry Island while there. John is a wonderful host. We would request another stay there if our travels take us that way again.
Thanks for a wonderful first stay in our new Class B. We explored many of the recommendations before arriving for the night. Our host was on top of our communication in setting up our stay and arriving at his place. Highly recommend! Thank you.
This is a very warm and generous couple. There home is beautiful and I am so glad they accepted us to stay!
Spent 2 nights, oroginally supposed to be one but our host offered the second night and there was so much more in the area thab we expected so we stayed.
The place was perfect. Easy to get into and lots of space to set up. Power and water both available.
Our host was awesome. She greeted us as qe arrived, told us all about the area and even let us use some coupons.
Nearby new bedford was great, check out brothers artisanal of you go.
We were very grateful to our host for being so accommodating. If you get a chance to visit the brewery that he recommends in his intro please do! We had an unbelievable experience there...one that we both agreed was our most moving out of the 33 nights we were on the road. Spirit Traveler(s) has a beautiful, peaceful property and he greeted us at the entrance to make sure we knew were to park. Thank you for everything!
Our lovely hosts were very helpful in finding us things to do with kids nearby. Rhode Island is less than an hour away, there is a beach not too far from this location, and the Cape is a few hours away. There is a lot of activities to do nearby, and our hosts are very informative. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming, and fun to share stories with about our adventures.
This is a lovely location in the trees to spend a few nights. I love being parked "in the trees" even though the first couple acorns that fell on the roof made me jump. They have done such a beautiful job with the property, and the recommendations they provided on places to go and things to see were perfect for our family. We stocked up on fresh and local items at Aldenbrook Farm and my kids even were given apples to feed the horse and donkeys and told they could keep the peacock feather they found. Then, we spent a day in Rhode Island (Newport Beach), which is close. We had visited New Bedford earlier in the week, but that is a fascinating spot in close proximity as well. Next time we'll make it to Gooseberry Island! The hosts were very kind and called to direct us on where to park while still at work and then checking in on us before we left after they had their own busy weekend of celebrations. The town itself is very charming too. Highly recommend stopping here.
The location makes for very quiet and dark nights as being hundreds of feet off a country road making for a good night sleep. The location is within 30 minutes max from many sightseeing locations.
We so enjoyed our time with these folks. Always wonderful to meet new friends. Loved the property and the area.
Enjoyed meeting our hosts and the berries they gave us. Shared some great insights on places to visit and we went to several during our time there.
We had a great stay at The Homestead. The site was easily accessible, level and had ample room for our motorhome and tow car. We enjoyed meeting and conversing with John & Robin. We especially appreciated their suggestions of places to visit in both their immediate area and also along our future route.
This was our 1st time using BW and we will use it again!! These people have gone overboard with things to do and places to eat. We tried some. The stay was perfect and although we did not use the electrical, it was available. The place is so peaceful and the area was really nice. I did see some things on our way out of town that I would like to check out next time I am in the area. Will definitely come back here!
What a Great and such lovely couple they gave us plenty to do and see. We will surely be back at the Homestead very soon. Thank you guys
Our hosts had great knowledge of sights to see in the surrounding area, and were extremely helpful in sharing their wisdom with us. We followed their advice on places to visit during our stay and had an excellent time. Thank you very much Spirit Travelers!
We had a great stay. We enjoyed a conversation around the fire one night. As well as the time shortly after we arrived. The spot was easy to get into. Quiet and peaceful. Had a good nights sleep both nights we were there. Need up leaving while they were gone so we didn't get to say "see ya later". Hope we cross paths again.
All is true. Much more to do than we had time for. Such a awsome host. They were so kind to my active 7 yo and I am thankfull for that. I highly recommend the cliff walk and bike the way back to your start. Good times.
The home is in a lovely wooded location down a long driveway. The hosts were very welcoming and kind. It was the perfect place for a quiet overnight.
The Spirit Travelers are exactly the kind of people you hope and expect to find at a BW host place to stay. We were very comfortable and safe. They have plenty of space, graciously offered to help with anything we needed, and even provided us with a list of great things to see and do in the area. One note though, they don't have the electric setup yet as of our visit, so electric is a requirement for you, then you may ask ahead of time if they do have that available.
We visited the Wild Honey cafe and loved it as well as the Alderbrook farms they suggested. Both cool experiences. And of course they suggested visiting the mansions in Newport and that was a jaw-dropping experience as well.
They were even quick to help us with a scavenger hunt we were on by letting us take some pics with some items we found right there on the property and he even pulled out his Harley to let us take a pic on it for one of the items. This couple is super!
Thank you both! :)

We had a lovely experience here. We got to chat briefly coming and going. The location is beautiful and so is the area. We would absolutely come back through!
We just stayed there for the night, but it is a silent and nice place and we were welcomed very friendly by the son of the host who also let us use their WiFi to plan our trip for the next day. Unfortunately we did not have enough time to explore the area of Rhode Island but we re very sure that it’s worth going there :) highly recommendable!
We had a fantastic stay. Communication was a breeze. Our host was kind, flexible, and helpful with lots of ideas for things to do and see in the area. We parked on a level spot behind the cabin with wonderful views of the forest. It was peaceful and quiet. Many thanks!
Great people and an unbelievable location. I wish we had more time to visit.
A little tight for a big rig but manageable.
We had a very quiet night here. Although we didnt meet our host he had his son in law meet us and we chatted with him for a bit. We arrived later so went a few miles down to Horse Neck Beach and took the causeway to the little island. We walked on the beach and relaxed for awhile. He also sent us a whole list of things to do in the area.
We would definitely recommend staying here if you are in the area.

I had to do a few repairs while traveling through, our host was very understanding and accommodating. You guys are always welcomed at our place as well!
Robin and John were awesome hosts! They gave us so much insight into the area and our family had a blast spending time on the ocean. We couldn’t fit in all the activities they suggested into 2 days so they were gracious enough to let us stay a third night. On top of all of that, we had some great conversations with them and their family during our stay. For a first experience with Boondockers Welcome it was simply delightful.
This was yet another wonderful boondocking experience and I’m thankful I was able to stay with these fine hosts. It is a beautiful area and I hope to come back again when I can spend more time exploring. I was concerned I would have trouble finding it based off of their description but my google maps brought me right to it and the host called me around my arrival time and ensured I could find it and left their lights on. They were very kind and made me feel comfortable. I had a great stay and I highly recommend this place to others. Thank you!
So thankful for their help when April's van quit and she was stuck with no transportation. Cannot thank them enough!!
Really like these two and their quiet place in the woods. We didn't get to stay long, but it sure is nice to be greeted by such kind hosts. Thanks for giving us a welcome feeling in Massachusetts:)
These folks were very friendly and accommodating, even allowed us to drop our trailer and take off when we arrived early and they weren’t home yet. Had a nice evening visit with them on their front porch. Definitely recommend staying here if a quiet stay in the country appeals.
These folks were very helpful and accommodating, even allowed us to drop our trailer and take off for awhile when we arrived early and they weren’t home yet. We definitely recommend The Homestead if you’re in the area and would enjoy a country stay.
We had a nice stay and the couple is very friendly and accommodating. They gave us some local knowledge of where to go and what to do that the locals do. It really helped in getting to the horseneck beach area, that is for the public, to watch the sunset.
Very much enjoyed staying here. Nice spot in the woods,. Nice gravel driveway. Very friendly and gave me lots of great tips for the area. Would definitely stay here again.
This was a very good stay in large area below their house. The place was easy to find and quiet.
Wonderfully hospitable couple with a tranquil and spacious forested location a short drive from the beach. Our hosts were very flexible about our arrival time as we had to deal with some Boston traffic. Once we arrived, we were pleased to find ourselves in a pleasant forest location off of a quiet scenic road.
Our hosts were extremely helpful with suggestions for places to go and things to see while we were in the area and we enjoyed sharing a bonfire and hors d'oeurves with them.
Definitely recommend spending a night here if you are in the area!
This is a quiet tranquil stop in the woods. The hosts are warm and helpful. They gave us wonderful directions to close sites you don’t want to miss. It was a wonderful and peaceful stop in our travels.
Ein perfekter Aufenthalt, bei großartigen Menschen.

Oh my. I think I could write a book about how awesome these folks are. First the spot is to die for. Off the beaten path and so quiet but close and within a few miles of the ocean and tons of touristy things to do. Their yard is amazing and they have wine berries growing everywhere! I lucked out landing there when they were perfectly ripe. Great conversation while I was there and we even went out to dinner together one evening. I feel like I've made friends for life! This was my first boondockers experience and I can't imagine it having gone any better aside from the sweltering heat that was out of our control. I hope our paths cross again for sure!
We are a big unit and he was confident getting us to fit in the spot. They are great hosts with such a beautiful home and yard that is nice and secluded. They were super helpful with things to go see and do and also with tools to fix our trailer. The kids loved the yard and grandkids toys. Sure hope we come back again!!
We could not have felt more welcome. From the minute we arrived to our departure we were treated as members of the family. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed touring the area and paddle boarding on the Slocomb River.
Hospitality at its best!
From day one when they accepted our stay, so willing to help with advice and recommendations of what to do and where to go.
Very convenient location, close to Beautiful beaches.
Lovely couple that made our stay special..
