Have you stayed at this host location?
This RV parking location is at my Cottage on the Bruce Peninsula near Lions Head in Canada. Its on a large section of lawn in front of my cottage with limited views.. There are no services there and someday I may get around to providing them. It is close (3 min walk) to a boat or canoe launch ramp on a little lake that leads out onto Georgian Bay.
I need to be there when guests arrive which is most of the summer months. Generators cannot run all day but from 9am to 11am and 4pm to 7pm. A day starts at 12 noon and ends the next day at 12 noon. Max two days stay. No barking dogs please. Children need to be supervised because of steep and rocky cliffs.
Paved road to the entrance and gravel and grass at the RV site.
Next to RV
Short drive to swimming and boating activities, the Bruce hiking trail, Lions Head town.
Cannot say enough good things about CedarRock and the hosts. Geoff stayed at our BW host site in Texas a while back and with his invitation to stay with them in Canada, we couldn't refuse. I only hope you'll have the chance to stay there sometime since they are not always at the cottage and able to accept guests. Nestled among the tall trees and lush landscape of the Northern Bruce Peninsula just shy of the bay and Lake Huron, we felt right at home from the second we arrived. Nice flat area for parking under tall trees. If you're lucky, you'll get to sit on the back porch of the cottage (we call them cabins) and enjoy the shaded cool breezes and warm conversation. Put your feet up, lay in the hammock and enjoy a glass of wine or local beer or a Canadian Caesar on the rocks... and I do mean rocks... since the decked porch sits on a beautiful natural rock ledge. So many trails to hike with the most phenomenal views of the big lake and bays you'll ever see. All this about the cottage but the most amazing part of our stay were the hosts, who have become dear friends. You'll love them too!
We had a great time at this wonderful piece of heaven, Lovely walk to the lake and a peaceful nights sleep beside a beautiful garden with peonies all in bloom. Geoff was a great host and made us feel welcome. We highly recommend this location.
I stayed one night in Cedar rock's front yard. He is a very interesting gentleman who took the time to share many tips on boondocking, travel in general and lots of tricks for my own setup.
The conversation was easy and friendly. The site was quiet, the little river can just be heard from across the laneway, easy in and out and has a very nice view of the night sky.
I very much enjoyed my stay and hope to stop by again.
Thank you for your hospitality.
