I’m located in the rural southern Berkshires. I have two spots that small rvs can park. Driveway to garage and driveway to house. Both are gravel and would need levelers. Both would be good for either shorter rvs or a shorter camper tow vehicle combo. Both spots are either back in or back out. My combined truck / camper length is 35 feet and I can fit in both spots easily but thats really the limit that would fit. Vans are welcome. Small schoolies also welcome. Depending on the time of year and my schedule you might be able to return for more than one night. You will need to be self contained. There is a 15 amp outlet that could be used as long as you agree not to overload the circuit. I can give you water if needed as long as it’s not a dry year. However water is from a rural well not regularly tested, other than by me drinking it. There is an rv dump at the local state park during summer months. I’m in driving distance to many southern Berkshire attractions. There are a couple small local restaurants nearby. There are also a couple small stores nearby. And there are a couple museums in reasonable distance (under an hour) including basketball hall of fame and Norman Rockwell museum. An hour from Mt Greylock, 90 minutes from Mohawk Trail. I can offer my company and a campfire on some evenings weather permitting. I’m middle aged. I would not accept stays from travelers traveling with children. Sorry, just too much liability. I love animals as long as they don’t make a mess. Cats are OK. Smaller dogs are OK. Need to be leashed, quiet, and cleaned up after. Both sites are gravel and near tall trees. Park at your own risk. Good sun during summer for solar.
I love to socialize. Can offer an evening campfire to new and old friends and beautiful lake view - weather permitting. I can provide parking and some pleasant conversation.
Here are some basic rules.
-I’m a very conservative, law abiding, church going person. If you are wanted for anything illegal or involved with anything illegal this is not the place for you.
-No smoking on property. It’s a wooded area often with high risk of forest fires.
-No drunkenness allowed.
-No children. I’m so sorry. Just too much liability.
-No loud open frame / construction generators. Quiet inverter style generators only. No generator use on house side of street. No generator use after 10pm on garage side of street.
-No arriving before 4pm unless prearranged.
-You need to leave before I go to work, which varies, sometimes as early a 6am. I’ll let you know before going to bed.
-I value quiet which is why I live where I live.
-I also value good manors and politeness.
-Can offer a 15 amp outlet that you will agree to not overload.
-No liquid discharge of any kind. It’s an environmentally sensitive area.
-Vehicles must be well maintained and presentable in appearance. Vehicles cannot leak fluids, once again due to being in an environmentally sensitive area.
-You must clean up after yourself.
-I live on a lake and have launching space for kayaks. However absolutely no use of lake without discussing it first. And you must have pfds.
-Absolutely no swimming.
Paved road to house. Driveways are gravel. There is a fairly deep drainage ditch across one drive. Both drives are slightly sloped and may need leveling. Many roads in town are dirt.
Both drives have some trees so height may be a challenge for higher rigs. Small branches though. Height on my rig is 9 feet so that’s where I trim the trees to.
Depending on rig I may have space for a tow vehicle.
Stays are arranged in a case by case basis. All depends on my work and travel schedule. While you would need to leave during the day, multinight stays can be arranged.
