My home is close to Hwy 19 which runs North/South along West coast of Florida.
Lots of local RV parks. 2 -3 hours from Orlando and the parks there. 1 hour from Tampa.
1.Respect peace and quiet
2. Clean up afterward
3. Share any awesome food dishes with host.
4.I regret I cannot host class A vehicles this year.
At the dead end of street in quiet subdivision with 2 acre lots and little traffic
I live on a dead end street with @100 yards of paved road in front of property. I can provide 110 VAC and water.
I I cannot host class A vehicles or buses at this time. Working with my county Representatives to do that in the future.
Just what we needed but wished we could stay longer. We were reserved for Weeki Wachee & left early a.m. M was a super mellow host. We had a nice conversation & then settled in the yard/drive... falling asleep to frog & peacock sounds. Thx so much!
Appreciated your hospitality, sorry I didn't get to say goodby when I left. Just recovering from knee replacement and a gimpy back, it's difficult to get around like you want. A friend of my son is the head brewer at Chaos Brewery in Virginia so I left a couple bottles for you on the wall. I can't vouch for it, since I am not a beer drinker.
The Pond was easy to find and on the outside boundary of a safe, well kept neighborhood, so there were only houses on one side half a block away, otherwise surrounded by 2 ponds and woods. Parking is in his drive. The host was very friendly and so easy and interesting to talk with. I highly recommend this site!
Our stay with Mikie3117 was quite nice. We had the opportunity to see some local cranes hanging out in the pond fishing, as well as have some great conversations with our host. Gentle slope depending upon where you decide to park. 15Amp hookup only, which was great for us since we only needed it to top up our batteries, after running the afternoon AC. Pool was quite nice, along with our host's furry friends. Our host even invited us to coffee by the pool! We enjoyed talking about technology, the stock market, and local attractions.
Thank you for an Amazing Stay Mikie3117!,
Peter & Katelyn
We needed a quiet and restful weekend and we got it !
Micheal was a really good host. So nice to chat and share a meal with him.
We recommend The Pond.
We had a wonderful stay at The Pond. Very quiet spot with a nice flat place to park and a view of the pond. Mikie was an amazing host! Super friendly and loved to share stories. Definitely a must stay if you are in the area!
The pond host was generous and friendly. His property is easily accessible and as advertised. Thank you! for a great stay
Mikie3117 was a wonderful, welcoming, easygoing host. I really enjoyed his company. He opened his home to me and shared dinner with me the first two nights, including something of a dinner party one evening. I joined Mikie3117 and his brother at a nearby Mexican restaurant the third night. I felt like I met a friend along the way!
Thanks Mikie for the safe and enjoyable visit.
Nice and quiet neighbourhood, Michael has everything a boondocks needs.
Michael liked to talk with us and he likes to receive.
Daniel and Johanne.
What a kind and generous host, mike went out of his way to provide us with the best experience possible. We felt more like family then Boondockers. I would recommend anyone passing through to spend some time at The Pond. Would definitely stay again
We were 4 days with Mikie, a wonderful host. We parked our RV near his house. Near the house there are 2 small ponds, that cranes birds and ducks come some times. The place is in the end of the road, nice, clean, peaceful and quiet. Mikie is a wonderful man, helped us whenever he could, let us swim in his swimming pool, and use his washing machine for our laundry. Mike is a pleasant conversationalist with lots of knowledge about many things, and very pleasant to our stay. Thanks so much Mikie, we hope to meet again someday.
Wonderful host as usual thouroughly enjoyed his company. We went to movies and out to eat. Love his dogs. He’s very kind and friendly and a wonderful conversationalist. I’m glad to got to go back. Hope others stop here you will enjoy it❤️
MICHEAL was very generous we felt like home plus he shared with us all the tourist interest
What a pleasant stay!
We woke up to beautiful birds on the pond right outside of our window. It was fun to watch them in their natural habitat scooping bugs, (or small fish?) from the water... just 10 feet from us!
There were other"boondockers" parked there, and we met some of the nicest, helpful people. We stayed 2 nights, and it was a memorable expierence!!!
Will definitely stop back if we are in the area. Thank you!!!
Super nice host !! I was welcomed like family. Very kind . Went out to dinner first night next night I cooked night after that he cooked was invited in to watch a movie and took a stroll on the golf cart with his dogs. Had a GREAT time was welcomed back and I would definitely love to go back. Thank you for everything ❤️🙂
We had a nice stay on a paved road looking out on a pond. Our puppy loved burning energy in the fenced area. Thanks so much for the hospitality!
This was a nice quiet place. This is a great host & very helpful with local info
Will certainly consider returning
Very welcoming & friendly host & nice area to stay. Friendly, beautiful dog too :)
Great stay, thank you that we got to know you. All the best for your future.
We enjoyed Mike and his dog and the quiet end-of-street location, and the 3 nights stay. Look forward to visiting again.
Thanks Mike. Quick stay - easy peasy! Nice area, quiet. Loved the frog sounds and ponds. Very comfortable overnight. Mike was very kind and easy to talk to. Would have enjoyed a couple more days here!
Great place to stop. An upscale quite area for walking, shopping close by. The host is very friendly. Parking is on a dead end road next to a pond with ducks, frogs, and visited by cranes.
We got a warm welcome from the host, his son and doggie, as well as from the other boondocker staying over.
Beautiful spot between two ponds, heard the frogs and insects saw some beautiful birds...
Lovely quiet night. Thank you!!!!
Great stay thanks Mike for you hospitality such a nice spot so many birds and frogs 🐸 hope we meet again .
We've enjoy stay at Mike's place, it's was so quiet and peacefull. Mike is a great host and we didn't have time To sit and talk more with him, surely the next time around.
This was our first experience with BW and Mikie3117 set the bar very high. We had such an awesome time there. Great host with a lovely property, with access to lots to see and do in the area. In the evening, the wildlife entertained with a beautiful symphony of sound. We saw the most amazing birds, most we had never seen before. He allowed our children to fish in his pond and graciously loaded hooks with "stink" bait until they caught a fish. This was an experience we shall not soon forget! Thank you Mikie3117!!!
My host was absolutely AWESOME! Such a great person and had a lovely home and amazing location. Close to Weeki Wachee Springs, Hudson Beach, Green Key and so much more! I enjoyed coffee in his home most mornings and had dinner 2 nights. He went above and beyond and I can't recommend this location highly enough!
This was a great Boondockers Welcome spot. It's close to anything you might want in that area of Florida but the location itself is quiet and relaxing. It's at the edge of a spacious neighborhood with all paved roads and nice homes.
Our host, Michael was a great guy.
This place was a nice quiet respite from the hubbub on highway 19. Mike is a warm welcoming host. The surrounding area is quiet and peaceful, a very nice place to visit.
We stayed 5 days at the pond, along with 2 other parties, which made for quite an interesting group of people. Our host was welcoming to all, sharing his time, space, and stories. We took day trips to nearby beaches, rode the Fred Marquis Pinellas trail, the Starkey Wilderness trail, and the Suncoast trail. We listened to the frogs at night, watched the birds in the morning, and were checked out by three Sandhill cranes our last morning while packing up. We felt safe and enjoyed the quiet neighborhood close to everything you need.
It was a nice place to stay for a few days.
Mike was a perfect host. Very friendly, accommodating and informative.
Our stay at The Pond was a great experience. We sure enjoyed the peace and solitude of The Pond. Mike is an absolutely super host. He is very laid back but very accommodating. We enjoyed our morning coffee and conversations with him.
It was a real pleasure to met Michael. We had a wonderful discussion in the morning around a hot coffee after a peaceful night.
We will comeback for sure!
We only stayed here one night and had a good night if sleep. It is a quiet neighbourhood, the hosts are super friendly and welcoming. Next time we will take them up on their offer to try and catch a fish in their pond.
We enjoyed our stay with our host. He was very welcoming and generous. Our kids really enjoyed walking the dog. They also got to "dog sit" for our host when he had a brief appointment. He has a beautiful property with a stocked fishing pond. We parked at the end of the dead end street and had no issues. He allowed us to run our generator. It was a safe, quiet neighborhood. Enjoyed our conversations though they were brief. We had about 3 bars of 4G with Verizon. Would definitely stay again if in the area.
This is a quiet peaceful area with a beautiful view and a welcoming host. Our dogs loved hanging out with the host's pup and we enjoyed talking with him while the pups played.
The host was very hospitable and let us come a day early when our previous plans changed. We had plenty of space and enjoyed a quiet oasis in the city.
Would love to stay again next time we are in the area!
This host made me feel welcome, safe and comfortable as a guest on his beautiful property. Couldn’t ask for more!
Michael was a very gracious and accomodating host! The stay was very peaceful and quiet. We were able to park on concrete. He allowed us to fish in the beautiful pond on his property. And yes his little Jack Russell is friendly and loves to be pet. We would definitely recommend The Pond for a stay!
Convenient peaceful location with lots of space. Our host graciously allowed our kids to swim in the pool and fish in the private pond in the backyard. An amazing property! Would love to stay again if we are in the area! Thank you for the great experience!
We enjoyed the conversation and time spent at this beautiful spot.
We recommend this site.
It was a total pleasure staying with Mike! I have a 37ft trailer and had plenty of room. Mike kindly offered us water hook up and 110 power, luckily we had a full tank and the trailer has a generator. Super safe neighborhood. My only regret is not having more time to chill with Mike! Great place, we would definitely do it again!
Mike is a generous host. it has been nice getting to know him and experiencing community so far from home. his home is an oasis from the hustle and bustle. it is amazing to hear all the critters at night! would highly recommend this area to be able to go sight see and experience other small towns along the coastline.
It was a very peaceful night at the pond. I enjoyed the serenity, listening to the frogs at night. Mikie3117 was extremely welcoming and was flexible about whether or not I would be there for a second night. I didn't use any hookups so parked in the street, but I was offered elect and water. This is a great place to stay.
Mike was a amazing host. His property is absolutely gorgeous and quiet. A real little paradise. We had great meals together and good conversation. Even had a swim in his pool teaching his dog Basti to swim. He made us feel like part of his family. Also a big thank you to Joseph Mike's room mate for helping my husband. Take care and hope to see you again.
This site was completely awesome. Residential neighborhood of large houses on 2 acre lots, so, a real country atmosphere with a mix of lawns and shrubs along with wooded areas. Birds in the area included ibis and sand cranes, with peepers and bull frogs in the evening. Our host was warm and inviting, a good conversationalist and storyteller. We stayed 3 nights, did visiting with friends during the daytime, but it would have been a nice place to camp and hang out all day.
Did not stay the night of the 20th due to a change in our plans. See my next report on this same place.
