Out in the country. Property looks out to an overgrown pasture, slopes down to the east. Beautiful sunrises.
Keep it clean. If something breaks let us know. No water in winter.
State numbered road, paved, light traffic.
Driveway is 25 feet wide and 100 feet long. Slopes down to the road, 10 degree slope at the bottom, 5 degree slope at the top. We use 1/3 of one side to park our cars, our guest gets the rest of the space. Difficult to park a really big rig due to the slope and having the frame drag.
Usually home. Will block dates for any of our travels.
Near Augusta, the state capital. Maine State Museum, Maine State Archives, Maine State House. Many boat launches on lakes and on the Kennebec River. Fort Western in Augusta, built in 1754, oldest wooden fort in North America.
Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly. They stood out in the rain to make sure we were settled. Would stay there again.
Nice quiet place to park, and good folks to sit and have a cup of coffee with and chat with
Maine is just beautiful, and C&A made our time here very enjoyable. They treated us like family from the minute we got here, and we got a glimpse I to their lives and world. You will meet some really nice, hospitable people if you decide to drop in. Thanks for all your help and suggestions.
This was a really nice spot to stay for a few nights while seeing Maine - thank you for the hospitality! The hosts were very friendly and made sure we were comfortable, even offering us their shower. Our dog loved playing in the yard. Highly recommend if you're in the area!
