Rural farm with over 50 acres of solitude....except for all our animals. We raise chickens, guineas, goats, milk cow, pigs, ducks, turkeys, and we have livestock guard dogs.
No smoking, loud music, and we prefer no pets because of our other animals.
Roads to our location are slightly improved. Mostly gravel with some pavement. Our driveway is gravel. Our driveway is quite steep with two hills to climb.
We have plenty of room to accommodate a tow vehicle however, our driveway is 1/4 mile long and quite steep.
We have multiple trips planned throughout the year but please contact us to determine our availability.
Jacksonville (30 min away) has a variety of historical sites and is a very nice hometown type of city. Springfield (1 hour away) has historical sites (Lincoln museum, etc.). We are one hour from the Mississippi River and 1.5 hours from St. Louis.
We arrived about 6 PM and found an absolutely beautiful farm. We could park on a flat surface and were offered electric and water. If your travels ever take you through this section of IL I highly recommend visiting these folks. Warm and friendly and genuinely gracious hosts. We really enjoyed seeing their goats, chickens, and milk cow and really enjoyed Max their Great Pyrenes.
