Have you stayed at this host location?
Leave a reference for this hostAbout 7 miles to Peoria - Close to Hy-Vee grocery store, Walmart. Gas station 1 mile away.
No running generators from 10pm - 7am. No pets running loose at the house - there is an open field where they can run.
There is a long gravel driveway back to the house which you can't see from the road. There is a circle in front of the house that, if you have a large RV, you’ll have to take wide to get around it. You can park in front of the barn and there is a 50 amp electrical outlet on the front right side of the barn as you’re facing it.
Tow vehicle can be parked next to rig or elsewhere on acreage.
Grand Prairie Mall, several restaurants (Steak n Shake, Dairy Queen, Starbucks, Famous Dave's BBQ, Culver's), Home Depot, Walmart, Aldi, and Menards nearby. There is also a Peoria Riverfront Museum and Caterpillar Visitors Center in downtown Peoria - also a Wheels of Time museum that has old cars, trains, etc which in a normal year is open 5/1 to 10/1.
Many options for parking! Beautiful setting there was dirt bike noise but only during the early evening. Great place to go for a nice nature walk 20 minutes away at Forest Park Nature Center. Thanks, hope to spend time there again.
This was our first time using Boondockers Welcome and the first time we used our new to us coach. Pndldy and her husband went above and beyond to help us set up our coach and flatten our learning curve. The setting is peaceful and beautiful. You feel like you are in a nature park. We had a very relaxing evening and a restful nights sleep. A little off the beaten path, but well worth the visit!! Thank you to both of you! We literally would have been lost and clueless without you!!

Pam’s warm welcome and peaceful property was a delight for our first night ever of RV travel and Boondockers Welcome. We loved the roomy site with sights and sounds of nature all around.
Thank you, Pam. We would surely stay again if we pass this way.
Wonderful little property and host :) Worked great for an overnight stay as we traveled through the area. Neighbors had some goats, chickens & roosters that you could see and hear, which was fun! We even had a couple deer walk by right in front of our window. Overall enjoyed our stay and would stay again!
A somewhat peaceful stay tucked back into the wooded banks of the Kickapoo. Although quiet at night and in the morning, the roar of dirt bikes, in the evening, on the neighboring property can become a nuisance if that kind of disturbance is a bother. Though it was a challenge to find a level spot for a 37 foot motor home, we did our best for the short period we were there. After much surveying of the property while we stayed, I might suggest a much leveler grade forward of the southeast corner of the barn, along the line of trees. Though it is softer earth for a 14 ton rig, it may be well suited for lighter set-ups.
Thank you both for letting us stay on your property.
Our hostess was a delight and we deeply appreciate her hospitality. Thank you for sharing your piece of heaven with us!
We appreciated the warm and friendly welcome to Pam’s little corner of paradise. Beautiful surroundings, electric and water if needed. Would recommend to anyone for a pleasant overnight’s stay.
Host was very nice and accommodating. It was hot/humid when we arrived. Really nice to be offered power so our air conditioner could run.
Definitely a little Slice of Heaven, Beautiful landscaping. Really enjoy just sitting outside with a host chatting, hopefully we'll meet again down the road
What a nice stay. Quiet, beautiful area, and very welcoming hosts. Absolutely loved our stay here. Thank you again!
What an enjoyable stay with a great host. Beautiful gardens, pond, waterfall and the sounds of nature. It will forever be on my favorite list for Boondocking. It was nice to meet you. Thanks so much for your covid safe hospitality
Beautiful as always. This is definitely a little piece of heaven and the host is great. Nice safe and quiet place not far from the interstate. I could watch the fish in the pond forever. This was our second stay here and it was just as wonderful as the first.
This is a beautiful and quiet place to stop and not to far from the Interstate and The city is just a few miles away. She was a wonderful and welcoming host with a beautiful home. This was our first time Boondocking and she definitely exceeded our expectations. We would definitely recommend stopping here.
Great little spot tucked away from the road! Beautiful gardens and friendly hosts! Would definitely stay again! Thanks for a great stay!
Pam's place was perfect for our overnight stop. We arrived a little later than originally planned, and Pam still helped us get set up (on a Saturday night no less.) It is very quiet and very beautiful.
We’re enroute to Texas, nice spot for an overnight but would have been nice to stay longer!
We enjoyed a nice, quiet stay at Pam's Piece of Heaven. The location was perfect for touring the Peoria area and biking the Rock Island State Trail. Pam met us upon arrival even though it was raining hard. Her communication and directions were excellent. Thanks Pam for being such a great host!
Thank you for the quiet camping spot! We took a morning walk in Dunlap. Beautiful library! We enjoyed our stay. Thank you for being a BD Host!
What a wonderful person. Didn’t get to meet the Mr. but what a peaceful place. When you enter the grounds, stay to the right of the circle. Definitely would visit again.
Our host was gracious and generous and really friendly. The site was beautiful and tranquil. Highly recommended! P&J
PndldyPam's place was amazing, so tranquil. We had access to water and electricity and a very private spot with picnic table.
Pam was so accommodating, and down to earth, her property was beautiful. We will definitely return if we find ourselves in Dunlap again!
This piece of property is amazing! And so is the host. She was so kind and accommodating. Wish we could have spent more time visiting and enjoying the property. Great location.
Host was very welcoming and helpful. After we were setup, we were able to do as we pleased. Made use of the 50 amp power with a 30 amp adapter that I carry. Large van type units may have to block up to be level. Site is in the woods well away from traffic noise. Great host.
Truly a little Paradise...an oasis!! PondLady Pam is a superhost! Made sure we had water and power and a level spot...ohhh the fireflies!!! So tranquil!!
Pam's spot was my first experience with the boondockers site, and it was so amazing. Her property is covered in flowers and little tables and spots to relax. I spent two days unwinding after a chaotic week of city travel, and it was such a lovely place to do so.... dragonflies floating around a beautiful green area, and I received such a warm welcome and send off from Pam and her husband. Much gratitude!
We were welcomed into Pam’s quiet, flower filled oasis. She is a wonderful host and we look forward to coming back! Thank you for a restful night & great conversation!
Thanx Pam. Though I was only passing through, it was a peaceful night. I loved watching the deer and listening to the rain. Your flowers are beautiful.
Excellent location close to rail trail also close to Peoria Illinois. Lots of things to do. Was a great place to stop on our way to the black hills. Gorgeous landscaping and very friendly.
A beautiful way station For anyone’s travels. Beautiful gardens, waterfall and pond. Lovely place, lovely house.
Had a wonderful time. Pam’s place is heavenly. She is a lovely host. Everything I expected and hoped for!
This was a beautiful and quiet place to stay. Pam was friendly, helpful and a great source of local information. We absolutely loved our stay there and we are considering going back to see some museums in Peoria.
Very friendly, gracious host which we appreciated. The parking area is off the main road, private and quiet. Two thumbs up!
Great directions, accommodating host. Busy, but made a little time to chat with us. Quiet little piece of Heaven made for a wonderful night’s sleep. Thanks again.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Pamela's Piece of Heaven! She offered 50amp hook ups and we were able to top off the water tank. A beautiful landscaped yard and relaxing atmosphere. Thank you

Pam has a very nice place in the country, very quiet. It's a beautiful location, lots of flowers and plants, plenty of level room to park. We had a very nice visit with her, talking about travels and work and retirement. Great place, glad we found it, highly recommend.
This was one of the most beautiful sites we have ever visited! The hosts were great, friendly, and accommodating. There are some wonderful sitting areas, lots of bunnies, and quiet. We talk about returning to Ill. just to visit again.
We stayed with these hosts one night, with our Chrysler minivan camper and TailVeil rear tent, and had a wonderful experience! It is a quiet, shady location far enough off the highway that we hardly heard any traffic. We would use this location again if our travels bring us this direction.
This location was great. Just a few minutes from the highway but nestled back in the trees so it was quiet and restful. Enjoyed watching the fireflies. The host was wonderful and very welcoming. Beautiful garden landscaping!
What wonderful people and such a beautiful spot. Wish we had more time to spend with them. We WILL be back and hope they will come to Kalamazoo so we can host them and continue getting to know them.
I travel as a solo so I was concerned with how I would spot Pam's location - No concern, she was waiting at the end of her driveway with a welcoming smile. She led me down a quiet road to a lovely, quiet property. It was truly a "Piece of Heaven" with a nice level location easy to back into. We had a lovely visit and I am looking forward to a return visit.
We loved our stay so much the first time, we couldn't wait to get back! Pam's place really is a piece of heaven - and we were so happy to see them again!!
The hosts were fantastic. The site is very beautiful and peaceful with outside seating and lots of bunnies. I would travel back to Ill just to visit again! Thanks for a great place to recoup before hitting the road again.
Our first stay and it was great! Our hostess was so nice and the property was beautiful.
We loved everything about our stay- Pam was there to greet us and so accommodating. The property was beautiful, quiet and peaceful - perfect for us. Our hosts were so wonderful- we truly enjoyed the time they spent visiting with us. We felt so welcomed there and would love to see them again!
Pam has a level parking spot within her wooded central IL paradise. It is close to a big city and a State Park. Pam was very prompt with all communication. Highly recommended.
