NOTICE: THIS SITE IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE. We are tired of people constantly cancelling reservations, being unprepared, skipping on paying for utilities, and generally treating us like a hotel instead of friends. Guest have free roam of our backyard oasis including fire pit, patio, cabana, hammocks, swing, Boy Scout campsite, and outdoor kitchen. A park grill & picnic table were just installed at the main camp site. We have several level places to park on gravel, grass, and blacktop. Please keep in mind that we only have 30a at the main camp pad (1st come, 1st serve). 10a is available at the second site by long extension cord. Water is available at camp areas from our house, but will require use of 50-75 ft of hose (you can also fill jugs and carry). Our RV dump is off by itself - not at the campsite. Suggested Local Attractions:Mammoth Cave National Park, Rough River State Park, Nolin River State Park, the Lincoln Trail, Corvette Museum, Beech Bend Park & Dragway, Owensboro Riverfront, the Bourbon Trail (Bardstown), Bernheim Forest, South Fork Motoplex, and NCM Motorsport Park.

We are Airstream and outdoor enthusiasts Details: We are a couple of outdoorsy Airstreamers. I'm an engineer/business owner and she is a nurse. We spend most of our home time in our outdoor oasis or our century old Craftsman house. When we are in the Airstream, we are either chasing waterfalls or music festivals! Home Town: We live in a small town called Millwood, Kentucky. It's midway between Rough River and Nolin River State Parks and is about 35 minutes from Mammoth Came National Park. We are less than an hour from Bowling Green, Owensboro, Elizabethtown, and Louisville (outskirts). This includes Beech Bend Park and Dragway, NCM Motorsport Park, many museums, three water parks, and the birthplace of Bluegrass music. Favorite Boondocking Locations: Anywhere there is a festival or a waterfall. Skills or Expertise to Share: We have restored an old house and one Airstream, and working on the second of both. I am a mechanical engineer, she's a nurse, and there are very few projects we can't/won't tackle.

We loved staying here, the host was so super nice and helpful. I have a 43ft fifth wheel which would have been fine except the long bed truck I have made parking a bit difficult. The host loaned us an extension for the power for the night so we could take advantage of the 30amp after the parking was slightly too far to reach with my 50ft cord only due to the difficult parking situation. The property is nice and the drive in nice to the local sights

We really enjoyed our stay here and hate to read that they are not hosting people. We still talk about how much we enjoyed visiting with them. We got to meet their son’s family and spent all evening just hanging out.

We enjoyed this location after a day of exploring in the nearby area. Scott met us at the end of the driveway when he saw our van in the area. The annuals were being planted as we arrived and Tina was bringing the garden to life with her labour of love. We rested well and found the location central for exploring beautiful Kentucky.

If you have a low clearance toy hauler this one could be hard to get to. Railway crossing very uneven. Our stay was great, they have 30 amp available and water if needed. There is a dump station available also. Owners are nearby, always gardening etc. Great peopl e!!
