We have a paved pad at the back of our property where we park our rig and have room to park one behind ours.
In rural location but with near neighbors.
Very convenient location. About two miles off Exit 50 on I-81 in TN.
About 7 miles from intersection of I-26 & I-81.
Narrow road. Only one way in.
We navigate our 36 foot without any issues.

We were grateful for our stay at Off the Beaten Path. We had a blowout on our way to our host’s sight which caused us to be three hours later than we expected so that we arrived after dark. Our host told us to come on anyway and met us in the dark and helped us to get set up. He even had an enclosed area where he allowed our puppy to get some exercise. We enjoyed our conversation with this wonderful couple. We couldn’t ask for a better host!
Jack & Pat are incredible host! This was our first Boondockers Welcome stay and they made it easy. They were very accommodating and very helpful. Their property is very beautiful and had all of the necessities (electric & water) for our night's stay.
They communicated well & responded quickly to all of our questions.
They were kind of enough to give our little pup, Bella, a run of their place. She enjoyed meeting their dogs!
Even though we were all covid aware - we were able to sit around their patio and enjoy a glass of wine and had a wonderful conversation.
To summarize, they spoiled us with our first BW stay. We definitely would stay here again and we would recommend their place "Off the beaten path"!!
What a wonderful first stay! Pat and Jack are absolutely lovely. Inviting, helpful, interesting, accommodating ...are just a few glowing words I can use to describe them! They have a beautiful home in an easy to drive to location. Jack met me outside and helped me get my little travel trailer Into its spot in the “driveway made for campers”. I even had the luxury of plugging into electric and option of water hookup as well! A large beautiful Fully fenced-in back yard where my dog was in heaven. We were respectful of the social distancing and sat around an outdoor patio enjoying a bottle of wine sharing life stories until it got dark and we all decided it was time to turn in!
It was dark and quiet....conducive to one of the best nights of sleep, even my dog slept in an extra hour til 8am
We woke to the fragrance of the honeysuckle outside my beds’ open window then went out for a short walk down the road along the horse farm fence.
I’d call it a slice of perfection found in a small country “neighborhood“
Jack and Pat and “Off the Beaten Path” are a true gem!
Mr Jack and Ms Pat were THE BEST! And everything was perfect! The spot was level, we so appreciated the 30 amp service, the location is beautiful!
They welcomed us with open arms. Since we’re all Marylanders, we reminisced about that area. East Tennessee is just beautiful, with its meandering roads. Perfect spot near Kingsport, TN
We are so thankful for this opportunity in so many ways!
Super nice host had to leave early due to wanting to get home due to changes from virus travel but it was a beautiful spot and the host was super nice
This has become a regular stop for us on our trips to and from our home in PA. Easy access from I-81 and a friendly welcome from our hosts, even when social distancing.
Thanks to Jack and Pat for allowing us to sit a spell on their property in beautiful East Tennessee! We were all very sensitive to social distancing during the virus crisis, so conversations were held at a distance and we were unable to chat over coffee or wine, but we still felt the warmth of their hospitality! Notes to other Boondockers who wish to stay here: please be sure to follow Jack’s directions to the house; our GPS still wanted to route us down Lovelace instead of Bank (Jack’s directions), even after I shaped the route to take us down Bank. The corner of Loveland and route 93 has a VERY steep drop right on the turn, and I was concerned that even my compact car might bottom out (but it didn’t). Bank is narrow with some blind hills, but if you take it slow you’ll be fine. Jack’s driveway is slightly sloped, but we were able to level our 32’ Class A and push out the slide. Your reward will be lovely green countryside with horses grazing in the field next door! Thanks again, Jack and Pat!!
Pat and Jack were very warm people. We spent a couple of hours chatting over a drink. They told us about Bays Mountain where we hiked up to a fire tower. Their place was easiy to park and get set up and quiet. If you are in the are we recommend staying here.
This was a perfect place to get off Hwy 40 for a good nights stay on a cross country road trip. Jack and Pat are warm and welcoming hosts and told us much about the local area. We enjoyed our stay and plan to stop again on our next trip through the area!
Travelling from Harrisburg, Pa to Fall Branch, Tennessee was a long day...
Our hosts were waiting for our arrival and were ready to help us with our rig. 30amps power and water were a treat!
Around a glass of wine, they helped us clarify our destination since we had to decide to go to Texas or Florida the next morning. Their advice was most welcomed and we decided to go towards Tampa. Thank you so much for your kindness.
We had a great visit and overnight with Off the Beaten Path in Fall Branch, TN. Answered our request quickly, delivered as promised, and were a great enjoyable couple to visit with.
Thanks for everything
What a nice place to spend the last night of 2019. We’ve been here before and were happy to return. Perfect place to stop on our way south, not far from I-81. Pat_Jack are welcoming and gracious hosts - so nice to see them again.
Wow what an experience, we booked early as we stayed Thanksgiving night. We were welcomed with open arms. As an example of the warmth shown we were invited to Thanksgiving dinner. We enjoyed great conversation, meeting of the hosts extended family, including all the dogs I think there were five in all, all vying for attention. The location is very convenient to the 81 and a great pivot point to for travels in any direction, power and water are available overall an enjoyable pleasant stay.
Thanks to you both and to the family for making us feel so welcome 5 stars plus.
A very Nice place. Clean and save.
Thank you so much.
Pat and Jack are warm, inviting, generous and basically “The salt of the earth”
We enjoyed our stay at their charming, beautiful home!
What an incredible story this generous couple has to tell. Their site is in a convenient location for anyone traveling on I-81, is easy to find, easy to back in to, and is in a quiet semi-rural area. They are very warm and welcoming. It was wonderful to get a chance to visit with them and hear their stories. We had time to socialize but also had time to rest up after a long hard travel day. If you’re in the area, we highly recommend a stay with Pat_Jack. And if you’re there on a Saturday night and love music, check out Carter Family Fold Music Show which is about 35 minutes away. We didn’t, but wish we had. Guess we’ll have to come back!
Loved our stay with Jack and Pat! Terrific accommodations, easy and conveniently located near I-81. Enjoyed interesting conversation on their beautiful back porch. Looking forward to seeing them again on our travels.
Thank you for a nice stay. Nice quiet spot. Great conversation with hosts.
Pat and Jack were exceptional hosts. They took great care of us and made us feel at home. We hope to host them out in Colorado if they come out west. All the best to them! John and Susan
