Location is a 20 minute drive from Huntsville ON.
We are at the Very end of a cottage road on a small peaceful lake.
There is room for a Class C motorhome or travel trailer under 20’ in length - narrow private road.
You can park in driveway beside house if requiring water or electric or space at end of driveway otherwise.
Friendly and sociable pets only. Clean up your responsibility.
Can provide hydro - so no generators.
Water available for fill-up.
Prefer that you use our property as a stop-over - not a campground.
Narrow 2 lane twisty and windy gravel road for about 3 km and then drive into a narrow single lane private road for another 500 feet. Our Class C Motorhome has no problems - but there can be over hanging tree branches.
Towed vehicle would have to back in a curving laneway. Parking would be on our gravel driveway.
Tow vehicle could park next to rig.
Not available over winter months and early spring (May/ June) which is black fly season.
Huntsville is very much a touristy town with many local shops and restaurants.
The Algonquin Theater is very busy over the summer time with a variety of venues.
A local Farmer's Market during summer month on Thursdays.
A Pioneer Village operates in the summer months as well as a steam train ride for kids. The Muskoka area is one of the Canada's top locations for viewing of fall colours.
Algonquin Provincial Park is an hours drive away - well loved for its hiking, canoeing and viewing wildlife.
Gravenhurst is a 30 minute drive from Huntsville, and home to the Steamships Segun and Wennona which tour the larger Muskoka Lakes. Also a beautiful Heritage Museum can be experienced and a wonderful farmer's market on Wednesdays.
Bracebridge, a 20 minute drive from Huntsville is home to Santa's Village.
We were looking for a place to stay over on our way from Killbear to Algonquin Park and Fox Den worked out perfectly. Even though they had guests Ellen and her husband took time out from dinner to greet us and make sure we had everything we needed. They also invited us to join them around their campfire later that evening where we met their guests and chatted about our travels, etc.
Thanks again Ellen!
Ellen & her husband were wonderful hosts!
We enjoyed sharing our mutual travel tips & stories sitting with them by the lake.
They even lent us their amazing bug swatter to rid our camper of a few pesky mosquitoes 🦟 that snuck in 😊
A truly wonderful stay!

Her instructions are spot on 👍🏻
Hope to see these people in the future Margaret ,Ashes and Myself. Enjoyed their company and would love too see them again only as guests . Ellen and Brian exceeded what was expected as they help us first find their place after my navigation went wrong. Again hope to see you again .
