This is 10 acres of unimproved land. The northern portion I think will work for RVs. This is natural terrain and not improved in any way. It is about 3.5 miles north of the city of Deming. This is a rural setting, there are neighbors but it gets very dark at night with lots of stars and good sunsets. The property edge starts approximately 400 feet and extends to approximately 1500 feet from Overhill Drive so there is plenty of frontage to work with.
There is a Valero travel center between I10 and the property that offers free dumping and water for the tanks(currently the water hose is busted, scheduled for repair within the next few weeks).
This is fairly open so most anything goes, just pick up after yourself.
Blacktop to the last road is about two blocks of gravel to the property edge, then unimproved lots of natural terrain.
It is not developed so if you can fit it, you can park it.
Any time. We are never there so you are on your own.
The Rock Hound state park, lots of places to wonder. I really am not sure what all is available there.
Lots of stars if you like looking up.
northdakotanut was extremely helpful while I was locating this cool out of the way spot. Lots of room and pretty easy to find level places to park. Very primitive, just right to get away from it all.
This spot is a lot just outside of Demming, NM. The are no buildings on the lot so knowing exactly where the boundaries of the lot were was a little difficult but it was easy to see where other Boondockers had parked befor. This is a very quiet spot with easy access and very good cell reception.
Mother Nature caused a rain out on the way to spring training in AZ but the interaction with John was a hit! Directions, timely replies and the land were right on but the rain caused a change of direction. Will look for you in ND someday...until then many thanks for your time!
John was very quick on the draw to respond back to me. I was very late getting to his property, but that didn't matter as it is vacant land and direction were easy to follow. I was able to stay two nights and thoroughly enjoyed the adventure John provided for me. I would definitely stop by again.
The host for this location was very patient and helpful, as I had a bit of trouble locating the place since it is pretty rural and not marked. Once we figured it out though, I was able to camp there successfully and get a couple really nice nights of peaceful stargazing in.
An excellent way to camp. Awesome spot. Great sunset. Thanks NorthDakotaNut...
