Have you stayed at this host location?
Leave a reference for this hostThis is a working farm located on the oldest road in Florida. We mostly produce round bale hay in the summer months. The land is a mixture of pastures and woods.
All pets are welcome. No leashes required. We have no fences so you are responsible for keeping your critters from running off. You can bring horses, dogs, cats, pet elephants or whatever.
There is an easy access pull through dump station available. There are water faucets so you can fill your onboard freshwater tank.
A trash can is available. Please dump kitty litter in the woods. It makes the trash can very heavy.
A Boondocker wrote about us in their blog. Some drone video is included: https://www.damononroad.com/barnquiltfarm/
BOONDOCKERS WELCOME HAS IMPLEMENTED A POLICY ALLOWING A 5 DAY STAY AT A GIVEN LOCATION WITHIN A 90 DAY PERIOD. WE DO NOT OFFER STAYS OUTSIDE THE BOONDOCKER WELCOME SYSTEM.
We offer a very roomy camping area that is away from our home. It gives the campers some anonymity and freedom to do pretty much any activity. Campers have access to the entire farm except for the house and barn areas. If other Boondockers are present, please communicate with them and be good neighbors.
Please review the "Boondockers Welcome Courtesy Contract for Guests" as a violation is disrespectful. We make exceptions to some contract items as follows: we do not accept compensation, you may arrive anytime - in most cases, you will be on your own but the drive to the camping area is well marked, we consider it none of our business if you leave on day trips or stay - come and go as you please, we provide a trash can and you can dump your grey water at your site, wandering pets and wild kids are not our problem - just keep them away from the house and barns, when leaving some people will stop and say goodbye and thank you and some just wave as they are heading out the gate - it's all good.
Three rules:
1) Nobody is allowed to work on the farm or help in any way; please do not ask. We gave up our farm employee insurance when we got out of the cattle business.
2) Generators must be a quiet RV or inverter type. No commercial/job site generators like you can buy at Lowe's or Home Depot. It is not fair to the other campers to run a noisy generator.
3) No uninvited guests. Please only those invited through Boondockers Welcome.
We love sharing our farm with you. That is our compensation. We expect nothing in return.
We are less than 10 minutes from interstate I-75. Paved roads to within a country block of the farm and then a lime rock road to the farm's main gate. It is no problem for our tag axle 43-foot diesel pusher motorhome.
We have plenty of roomy areas to camp that require no backing in or out. Tow vehicles are not a problem. The pond offers flat ground and a nice view.
Itchetucnee Springs State Park- tubing, canoes, swimming
Santa Fe River- canoeing, fishing
Oleno State Park- suspension bridge, camping, hiking
Paved bicycle/exercise trail- 26 miles total, passes near our farm
High Springs Historical Society Museum
Gainesville- the University of Florida, Museum of Natural History, Harn Museum of Fine Art
Florida Quilt Trail - over 150 quilt blocks displayed on barns (2 on ours) & other buildings in North Central Florida communities
Just before arriving Richard & I stopped at a local store to pick up antacids. While Richard was in the store I became violently ill and started throwing up and passing out. I ended up having to call an ambulance and was admitted to the hospital overnight. We never made it to the Barn/Quilt farm. I let the hosts know we couldn’t make it because of the circumstances. They were kind and understanding & wished us well.
Didn't get to chat with the hosts much, but the space was wonderful. It was our first time staying at a BW with a dump station! It's a very large space, so you can find a spot that works for you. We found a nice level spot in the shade but then shifted a bit forward to a sunny spot when we needed some solar.
We boondocked and dispersed camped from California to Florida and this was the most beautiful place. Our friendly host greeted us and said goodbye before we left. We were the only ones there and fell asleep to the sound of frogs and insects. It was such a beautiful place. Thanks!
Emerald Oaks Farm is a boondockers paradise. This place is Amazing.
Driving in brings you down a tree covered road with Spanish moss draping down.
I was greeted at the gate by both of the host who welcomed me in. A map was left at the front which shows the property and the large area around the pond where we should park. It is very quiet from any outside noise. The frogs and crickets were a pleasure to listen to all night. After a really good night's sleep I was lightly woken by the sounds of birds chirping at sunrise. It was hard to leave this beautiful place but hope to stay again on my next drive through.
Great & calming place. Loved falling asleep to the harmonious sounds of the frogs.
The hosts have a beautiful property. Spending a few nights on their property was the perfect location to visit several nearby state parks. Thanks again!
We enjoyed every moment of our stay at a beautiful and peaceful farm.
It is a great place to stay a few relaxing days near Ichetucknee Springs. Thank you Hosts for sharing your wonderful place with other RVers.
Wonderful easy place to stay. Hosts are very good at this and easy going. The setting among the Spanish Moss draped large Live Oaks us amazing! The trails that go past the sink hole on the property are worth exploring. The flexibility with arrivals and departures is very nice. Thank you very much for your hospitality.
We had such a wonderful time we extended our stay 2 more nights! Wonderful people, wonderful property! You won’t be disappointed!
If all boondocking was like this we would always boondock Very pleasant, quite. We only visited with host for a few minutes but she was very gracious.
Our hosts were quick to respond to our request and made the visit very easy by providing a detailed map of the property and even had little signs to mark where to park. We drug along some first time Boondockers friends who were a bit apprehensive. Hopefully BarnQuiltFarm didn’t spoil them too much! Just goes to show you, in the right circumstances this boondocking thing can be so easy and you get to meet awfully nice people along the way! Thank you for your hospitality!
We stayed with the hosts for two nights and had the whole place to ourselves. It is a gorgeous property with lots of space and a lovely pond to park next to. They were such gracious hosts, they gave us a map of the property and helped us park when we got there and they came by to say hi once we were settled. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you!
Nice hosts. Nice quiet location. Highly recommended! Also, there are some great restaurants and parks nearby.
Great place! Was a little surprised when a turned onto a dirt/sand road and then a grass drive way but it perfectly fine and added to the ambiance. Very cool tree tunnel road with Spanish moss and then parked under a great big tree covered in moss as well. Beautiful location.
We've camped at State Parks that we not as nice as Emerald Oaks Farm. Bill and Deb we're gracious hosts. The scandemic put a damper on giving them a big hug for being so kind to us. Hopefully we can make it back in the future for the hug.
We had a lovely time staying here for a few nights! Very quiet and beautiful scenery. Our kids and dog loved the hiking trail. Thanks for the stay!
Very level and quiet. Beautiful oaks with draped Spanish moss. The owners came out to greet us and are fantastic with social distancing. We felt very welcomed. Loved that we could dump our gray water and fill our fresh before we left. We were able to explore a National Forest Jeep and atv trails and go kayaking to see manatees at a state park. Bike paths everywhere. Really a great outdoorsy area. Thank you for welcoming us! Can't wait to stay again and explore more.
Love to stay at Emerald Oaks Farm. This was our second time here and we won’t hesitate to request it again! The.camping area is quite level with huge oak trees. It is quiet and spacious and they are the perfect hosts. If you are looking for a quiet country setting, this is it.
A quiet, serene setting. We loved it. And our hosts were very generous and friendly. It was a great stay and recommend it to all.
Our hosts were so kind and welcoming. Their place is just lovely and the ability to use their dump station was just icing on the cake. Make sure to walk the path on the back of the property. Both shaded and sunny options (solar) to park around a lovely little pond. The only problem is all that perfection was hard to leave ;-) We are in a 30’ TT but pretty much any size rig would fit.
Very nice place to stay for more than one night. It is quiet ,plenty of room to walk around , no street lights to block your view of the night sky. Would stay again
We concluded a once-in-a-lifetime, 6-month vacation at the Emerald Oaks Farm. Our last night of this spectacular experience was spent at the hosts' property. The road leading to the property is a beautiful drive under a canopy of oaks and Spanish moss. The site is so picturesque: From one side of the RV guests look out over a pond, and from the other side guests view trees and pasture. The hosts make a wonderful, considerate couple; they ventured out in the rain to welcome us. If Boondockers Welcome were to create an "Ambassador" level, this lovely family would represent Boondockers Welcome at its best. We will make every effort to return!
Boondocking doesn’t get much better than a stay at the stunning Emerald Oaks Farm! BarnQuiltFarm is a gracious and friendly host, visiting with and checking on their guests. The farm and surrounding area is absolutely gorgeous for relaxing, hiking or water activities and my dogs enjoyed the farm life atmosphere. I have definitely added this host to my favorites for future visits. Thank you, B and D for your generosity! I highly recommend a stay at Emerald Oaks!
Wow! What a beautiful place with gracious hosts. Traveled the back roads extensively during my stay and was overwhelmed with the gorgeous oaks and pastures. I am already looking forward to next year. This is an exceptional BW site and I highly recommend.
We enjoyed our three night stay on the Emerald Oaks Farm. The hosts came out to greet us and we had a pleasant conversation with them. Our stay was peaceful, if not a tad wet due to the rain. We parked on the "higher ground" on the outer edge of the racetrack and probably kept our feet a little drier because of that. Easy to maneuver our 40' 5er and easy access to the main roads and highways. Thanks again BarnQuiltFarm! We really appreciate it. Hope to see you down the road.
This was our first BW stay and although it was a short visit, it was much appreciated. We arrived late, but had a map waiting for us and easily found a place to camp for the night. Access to water fill up, trash can and dump station made it so easy to get on the road in the morning. Thank you BarnQuiltFarm!
This host had everything you could possibly want in a BW spot - plenty of room, a little community coming and going, a walking trail, and even a dump station! Highly recommend this stay
The good folks at BarnQuiltFarm have gone beyond and above to provide a boondocking experience you will remember. Clean, spacious areas under beautiful trees and tranquil nights.
Even during the recent Covid time, we felt very welcome and safe.
Thanks again.
Highly recommended.
Everything thing I’d hoped a Boondocking spot would be. Nice hosts, plenty of space and plenty of stars at night. A short drive to High Springs and a great place to base a few days for biking with back roads and bike lanes and paddling on the Santa Fe River. Looking forward to return visits.
Much gratitude to these friendly hosts for sharing their farm with us. Beautiful pull through spots next to a pond. Plenty of space. Portable water and dump station a plus. Well organized. Thank you.
Thank you for the awesome experience of staying on your farm. I arrived after dark but had a map waiting for me on the fence post and was easily able to fill my water tank and follow the directions to the camping area. I got to meet the host in the morning before pulling out and had a nice conversation before continuing on. Will most definitely stay again. Thank you.
We stopped for a few days break from our travels, and Emerald Oaks is a wonderful place to do just that.
The weather was a little chilly this visit,so our bocce game didn't happen.
Our hosts are such nice people, and we look forward to seeing them again.
Our stay with Bill and Deb was great. The site description and communication from the them prior to arrival was perfect. The drive to their home on Old Bellamy Road was old Florida picturesque. The well marked space around their pond was level and firm. Our night was quiet. They both stopped by to chat a few times and were covid-aware. Definitely hope to stay again.
So grateful to have spent time on this farm where we could truly relax after some busy travel weeks. The site was easy to navigate, level and the water/dump a bonus. There is also a charming woodland walk round the property we enjoyed as well as chatting to our BDW neighbors. We went to the Ichetucknee state park to float the river, there are also, shops not too far and the city of Gainsville is 30 minutes or so. Thanks to our hosts!
This was our first experience using BW and it was wonderful! The drive into the property was beautiful and the hosts left well written instructions with a map guiding us to the camping area. Total privacy around a small pond where we watched an amazing sunset through the trees and gazed at the stars. So tranquil. Hosts came to meet us the next morning and were such a delight. Couldn’t have asked for a better first experience and we plan to return when traveling down Florida.
This is one of my favorite BW so far. Great location, wonderful property and lovely hosts. They take great pride in their Property and it shows! So grateful for this host. :)
This was my first boondockers welcome stay and these hosts could not have been more lovely. They definitely set the bar very high. The property is just stunning, especially at night with a clear sky!! Wonderful stay! Cannot say enough good things!
We have a large 43’ 5th wheel and it can be stressful trying to find space to maneuver and park. All of that anxiety melted away from the moment you turn up the idyllic tree-lined street to Emerald Oaks Farm. We arrived to a wonderful personalized map at the gate with our names on it telling us exactly where to go. What a gift to share such a beautiful space with us. We were situated next to a pond, flanked by a tall beautiful oak tree. Maneuverability was not a problem here. We were blown away by the hospitality of our hosts. They had water, a fire pit and even a dump station right there on their property. From our first interaction we felt so welcome, cared for and safe. Our rambunctious puppy ran to her hearts content and we couldn’t have had a better experience. Thank you so much for caring for us so well. When we come back your way, we’ll meet up for a square dance!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Emerald Oaks farm! The hosts were very welcoming and respectful. There was plenty of room for our rig to drive and park around their pond as well as open space for the kids to play. Another great feature was the dump station to use on the way out. We highly recommend boondocking here if you are passing through the area!
We were greeted by the very nice host sharing their beautiful property with us. We pulled along side of their pond on a nice level spot. Very easy to do. We saw deer, heard owls, enjoyed a beautiful nature walk on their property. One night we were able to enjoy a nice fire with another great couple from BDW under the amazing live oaks. The host provide black and gray tank dumping, water and trash disposal. We had an absolutely wonderful time and appreciate our host very much! Hoping we can return here again one day!
How amazingly gracious the hosts are to have a set up like that for RV’rs. I was definitely appreciative of our welcome map, the water, dump station, trash bin...so convenient for us. Then there was the space, the view, the cute pond, the fire pit (waaay too cold for me to attempt to use it) and the nearby trail. This place was the bomb!!
Bill and Deb greeted us upon arrival and made sure we were comfortably situated. The farm is big and beautiful with plenty of room to spread out. We were across the pond from another couple and enjoyed happy hour around the fire pit which is located under a cathedral-like dome of giant, moss-draped live oaks. Pretty cool.
The night was perfectly quiet except for the owls and nightingales (or whippoorwills). The cloudless sky and new moon allowed excellent stargazing including our first good look at the Milky Way in over a year.
We will ask to stay again and look forward to more personal interaction when Covid-time is a memory. Thanks, Bill and Deb!
Once again another relaxing stay as always. This is the perfect location. Very close to the springs, kayaking, canoeing and state parks. The town of High Springs is just a few minutes away. Our Bella enjoyed the walking trails on the property and playing with other Boondockers pups. This has become our number one spot for Boondocking. The Hosts are absolutely amazing.
This host has a excellent place.nice and quite, had no problem finding a level spot.will be back.
What a beautiful couple on a beautiful piece of property! We can’t say enough about our hosts and their farm! Thank you! Thank you!
This BW site is amazing. The property is gorgeous, quiet and plenty of room. Flat and level. Easy access for big rigs and even provides a dump station and access to water. Not far from I75. The hosts were kind and welcoming. They stopped by each day for a few minutes, just to see how we were doing. Very respectful of social distancing. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you to our hosts!
The hosts graciously accepted our request to spend an additional night on thier beautiful property.
You could not ask for a nicer place to stay!
We absolutely love this location and the Hosts. Tranquility at it's best. Secluded but easy access to town. Definitely room for our big rig. Excellent location to the parks and springs.
This is the nicest BW location we have ever stayed at. The hosts are super friendly people.
Thank you so much for allowing us to stay on your beautiful Farm! That was one of the most relaxing trips we have had. Always quiet at night and listening to the breeze through the live oaks and the birds just takes any stress you have away! We loved walking the trails in the woods with our dogs each day. The Hosts were so warm and accommodating. We built a small fire in the fire ring and toasted marshmallows. Our dogs got to run around The open field and racetrack with the other campers dogs and a great relaxing time was had by all! We will definitely be back!
Another great stay at Emerald Oaks Farm with friendly hosts that are incredibly welcoming. Thank you for sharing your lovely property with us! Wish we could have stayed longer!
This was one of the most relaxing, beautiful places We’ve been to. We are new to Boondocking so we didn’t know what to expect but The hosts were so accommodating and sweet. They made us feel so welcome. The farm is beautiful and the trees and woods that surround it are so gorgeous. We loved walking the trail with our dogs! Can’t wait to come back again!
Our stay at BarnQuiltFarm was delightful. You pull up to the property by way of a street lined with large trees draped in Spanish moss. The parking area was extremely large with tons of room to spread out. Our dog had a blast running about and even made a new dog friend. The kids got their bikes out and rode around the pond. The owners could not have been more delightful and welcoming. We will definitely return!
Great place to stay. We spent a very peaceful, relaxing night here. Plenty of room and friendly hosts. Just what we needed after a day on the road. Would love to make this a regular stop during Florida trips. Thank you, for your hospitality!
We were able to extend our stay for two additional days. Wonderful hosts. Thank you!!
We absolutely loved our time at Emerald Oaks Farm. It was easy to get in and out. The site was level and the area was beautiful and so peaceful. We especially enjoyed the drive down the road with all the trees and Spanish moss. The hosts greeted us upon arrival and were very helpful and checked in on us after we got settled. We needed to stay an extra two days for work from home purposes and they were fine with the extension. We definitely hope to return sometime.
I asked for an additional 5 days which was graciously granted. My previous comments about my stay apply to this extension.
Great stay! The property was beautiful and our dogs loved running around off the leash! Will definitely stay here again!
We were lucky to extend our stay and teally enjoyed getting to visit with the hosts a bit more. Would love to come back in the future and learn a bit of square dancing 🙂. Thank y’all!!
This is the second stay and we couldn’t be more pleased! Quiet, peaceful under the night sky and stars! We look forward to our annual visit to the farm!
Thank you again and we will see you next year!
We loved this BW site so much we extended our stay to explore the area. The property is beautiful and we were just a short drive to Ichetucknee springs and our alma mater! The hosts are very kind and this is our favorite BW stay thus far.
This beautiful slice of heaven is a great place for you to get away and enjoy the tranquility of nature. As you travel towards this peaceful stay, you will find that the drive is just as amazing. You will travel down the smoothest dirt road you have ever traveled. (the paved roads are more bumpy than this road) The entrance is easy to find with a map posted to the gate to help you get the lay of the land. A push of a button and the gate opens with plenty of room for you to pull in even the largest rigs in and still have room to go back to close the gate. (our host were very accommodating to allow us to come in and park after dark and still greet us) You travel to the race track and pick from many level grassy spots around the pond. Take a walk around any of the beautiful trails offered or just pull out your camp chairs out and gaze at natural beauty both day or night. Need fresh a water tank refill? You can find water spouts at three different locations. Need to dump your tanks? There is a pull through dump provided with water. Did I mention quiet? I mean quite! We have a quiet generator and this place made it sound loud but with so much space between everyone, it helped damper the sound. This place has it all!
Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your beautiful home.
Wonderful location near state parks and Gainesville. Perfect for stargazing on dark nights. Great communication from hosts. Thank y’all!! The Martins
This was our first Boondockers Welcome experience and it couldn't have gone better! We appreciate them offering such a great experience, it made for a very relaxing and pleasant stay. Sky loved the racetrack and fields to run around. Thank you!
...and very nice, welcoming hosts. Lots of room to spread out. Definitely a great place to hang out for a few days. Highly recommended.
This is a beautiful property in North Florida, convenient to so many places of interest. Getting into and out of the property is super easy, we had no trouble finding a spot and getting situated at night. We enjoyed meeting the hosts and truly appreciate their hospitality!
Super hosts. Provided map and instructions on arrival. Great nature setting of pasture land, and wildlife. Had limited conversation with host due to covid distance restrictions Host was at gate to wish us a safe journey as we departed and expressed our gratitude for their hospitality. Would not hesitate to book another visit.
Great hosts...requested a fourth nite and that was no problem. Quiet rural setting next to a pond. Pitch black dark at night, heard coyotes howling. Peaceful and serene, away from city noises. Due to covid 19 distancing rules, did not get the time we would have liked to visit and share travel stories. Will definitely stay with Bill and Debbie again!!
This was our second visit to Emerald Oaks, and we really enjoyed it. We got to play bocce on the lawn with our great hosts, and we had two beautiful moonlit evenings. We were joined by fellow travelers on the second evening, and had some great conversation.
We look forward to a return visit.
Easy to find, they greeted me and opened the gate. Plenty of room, neat location, lots of peace and quiet. There are trails if you want to hike through the woods. Thanks for the great evening!
This was a peaceful and beautiful stay. The drive in is picture perfect and so is the location. The hosts do an amazing job of making you feel welcome while also maintaining a safe distance! Our son loved the open space to play. Thank you for allowing us to stay.
We did not know what part of Florida we would be stopping in. With less than an hours notice, we were able to get in here. There is plenty of room on property and easy access. The stars were beautiful at night. Thanks for a great stay!
What a wonderful place, stars were bright due to the zero light pollution...
Thank you for hosting.
I had a great stay at this location. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. I had no problem bringing in my 33ft fifth wheel, plenty space and a great location. Thank you.
We had a wonderfully peaceful stay with kind hosts! Highly recommend and look forward to returning. Be sure to follow his posted directions to avoid a longer than necessary ride on a dirt road. Simply come in off Hwy 18 as instructed. Easy in and out.
Great location, plenty of wide open space... the little dogs loved it! Definitely follow the Hosts recommendation to enter via Rt 18. The other route is long and dusty (ask us how we know that!) The Hosts stopped by to welcome us and opened the gate for us when we left this morning. This is a great stay for an overnight or a muliti-day stay in the area.
Very beautiful spot To spend the night. The dirt road going in was short and one of the best Best roads we’ve traveled in all the US. No bumps or pot holes. We had a nice brief visit With her hosts and hope to visit with them again either at their property or our place when this Covid is over. Thank you for the quiet spot to spend the night
We had the pleasure of staying for three nights. This is a lovely property. The hosts were always available for questions. We would encourage anyone who enjoys peace and quiet to visit here.
Barnquiltfarm was our first time using Boondockers Welcome as “Boaterhomers”. The spot we picked next to the pond, under the giant moss-draped live oaks could not have been more ideal - level, grassy, bug free, quiet, beautiful. Even the temperature was perfect. The other BW guests were across the pond from us, so it was as though we were alone.
Thanks for letting us stay!
This was our second trip camping ever in our 5th wheel and first time boondocking. The property is easy to navigate and make sure you follow the directions on the site and not Google maps. We came right after a rain storm and the roads were a bit muddy but not impassible by any means. We got a nice shady spot under an oak tree. We were the loud ones with an inverter generator. There is almost no light pollution so a clear night is a star gazers dream. Our hosts stopped by to chit chat and make sure there was nothing we needed. They are awesome people. If you're interested in going to the springs, this is a great place to stay. If not, stay anyways, you won't regret it. We'll definitely stay again.
Very, very close if you're visiting Itchnatucky Springs. Beautiful, peaceful property to Star Gaze on. Thank -you for you hospitality.
Another great stay here.
Perfect hosts!
In the beginning of the Rona times when I was here, decided to bug out a bit early after the state parks and other things closed.
I look forward to getting to come down and stay again sometime when traveling times get back to somewhat normal..
We were just passing through and needed one night to stay while social distancing. What a beautiful place to settle down and relax. We parked next the the pond, read, watched and listened to the birds and just took it all in. Thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven with us.
We enjoyed our overnight stay. Hosts were very kind, came by to welcome us from their cart, respecting the social distancing. This property is very inviting and beautiful. Our spot was shady and level. The starry views and frog songs were a welcome end to our evening. Truly a restful private location. We will try to stay here again when we are in the area. 👍👍
Beautiful setting, quiet , picturesque , many activities nearby, great biking, some of the best kayaking I’ve experienced. Very thankful for being allowed to stay. Thanks
The farm is quite, and peaceful. We watched several birds, even a swallowed tail kite soaring overhead. We enjoyed meeting the hosts and even with the state parks nearby closed we were able to get in lots of biking and kayaking.
We had a wonderful 5 night stay at Emerald Oaks. It's so peaceful and relaxing here that I could stay forever!
The Santa Fe River kayaking was one of the most beautiful kayaks. I learned about and saw swallets. I need to come back because the spring feed river was closed.
A quiet, peaceful oasis. I am so appreciative of this opportunity. Thank You
We had another wonderful 5 night stay at Emerald Oaks. It's so peaceful and relaxing here that I could stay forever! It was hard to believe that our world has been turned upside down when we were in such a beautiful spot removed from the rest of the chaos. Thanks again Emerald Oaks!
Didn't get to meet the host but much appreciate an easy-going beautiful little plot to stay on
Deb and Bill were wonderful hosts, and the camping experience was excellent.A couple of nights of solitude to relax during this crazy time, then we had wonderful neighbors for our last night. We will be visiting again when times are better,so we can play some serious bocceball!
We spent 5 nights at The Emerald Oaks property in March. Let me tell you something... this place is amazing! We were one of three rigs but were soooo far apart, it was like having the place to ourself. The hosts are so kind and hospitable, they share their property with Boondockers and ask
for nothing in return. They were also very conscientious and extremely responsible about the"social distancing' guidelines to the point where one or the other came around in the late afternoon on their golf cart and asked how we were and if we needed anything without getting out of the car to keep a safe distance for them and us. They're square dancers and would have loved to invite us to a dance but it was closed. Our time there was peaceful and relaxing and we can't wait to go back! Love you guys for putting yourself out there for us! Highly recommend especially for those that are concerned about their health and well-being.
We would liked to stay longer, but because of the crisis now we felt it better to keep going north. They have made a nice upgrade with a dump station and water spigot.
There were only a few guests at this location during my stay. There was lots of room for everyone. Lovely spot to camp. Water spigot worked and dump station was easy to get in and out of with my van.
It was hot and dry during my stay which caused dust from the nearby road to drift through the campsites when cars drove by. Not a deal breaker for me however if you’re sensitive to dust this may be a consideration.
So thankful for this spot! I’ll definitely keep on the list for future stays.
Great hosts and place to stay and be able to social distance during the coronavirus pandemic scare. So glad they stayed open during these times?
Was able to go do some hiking at nearby O’Leno State Park. They also have a short trail on their property.
We love this location and the hosts! BarnQuiltFarm made us feel welcome and checked on us occasionally. We were especially grateful for them allowing us to stay on their property during these stressful times in our world's history. The break from the choas was much needed and being there in the peace of the countryside was PERFECT! Thank you, BarnQuiltFarm, for sharing you little corner of the world with us!
Jen and Garry
The hosts allowed us to drop our trailer allowing us to pick up a family member in need in South Florida.
We appreciate it and this was a great looking camp site.
We will get through this!
My goodness could not say enough about the kindness and human goodness of this host. Water, dump station clearly put in for our use on the back of the farm. And in the days of this virus 😷 just allowing us to stay, we where grateful. But they are all around nice people. And we had the best night's sleep we've had in 6 wks. The cities are just noisy and a farm setting is a gift. Thank you both.
We really enjoyed this location as well as the hospitable hosts. We found this place to be peaceful, beautiful and conveniently located. The hosts were accommodating, friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!
We stayed here during our slow travels from South Florida back home. Both the location and the farm were perfect. There were a half dozen others staying there in Class As and travel travels. We had a good social time with the others and the dogs all played nice together off lease.
The host has made available fresh water, a dump, and a place to drop off the trash.
Wonderful stay. Will definitely stay here again during our travels in and out of Florida.
Thanks for the hospitality.
Thanks for being so kind to our family. Great open area for the kids to play with no worries. Thanks for having us!!
Wonderful hosts. The frogs sing you to sleep. Recommended Conestogas for nice restaurant and it was great food. We loved O'Leno state park, lots of history, swinging bridge, many trails and a river that disapears.
If everyone was half as generous, kind and humble as these folks the world would be a much better place. Staying at Emerald Oaks was a true gift. Peaceful and quiet, this is a large open space where you can really relax and just unwind. The hosts are more than generous with allowing you to extend stays (which you will want to), fill up with water, and even dump your tanks. They truly cover everything boondockers could ask for and are beyond humble with receiving any thanks for it all. Our family hopes to stop here again some day and only wish we could someone return the favor. Many, many thanks and well wishes to these folks!!
We signed up for five days to recuperate from being on the go and enjoyed it so much we asked and were given an extension. No electric hookups but access to a dump station and fresh water was very much appreciated!! A few other travelers here as well and we enjoyed visiting with them. Our host stopped to visit as well and invited us to join them at a square dance. We had other plans for that night but it would have been fun!
Definitely would recommend this host!
Very kind host with a gorgeous farm, easily accessible for any vehicle. While there we met many other travelers around the bonfire, and still had plenty of space for privacy. The bull frogs in the pond sang us to sleep at night!
So far this spot is our favorite spot. The host as always are very polite and welcoming.
The kindness of these folks does not go unnoticed. We had a lovely chat on our arrival and finally met Deb.
Our stay was peaceful and quiet and we love all of the changes made since our stay two years ago
Well done and so greatly appreciated.
Hope to see you again one day. Maybe in Digby NS
This kind host has a beautiful, and easily accessible farm. With plenty of room from many rigs, we met a bunch of travelers while we were here, but there's enough room to have your privacy. If you park near the pond, the bull frogs will sing you to sleep!
first time with boondocking welcome. It was great. I hope all areas are 1/2 as good as there spot
We only stayed one night on our way through the area. It was peaceful and I loved the songs of the frogs in the pond at night! Our hosts were lovely and took time to meet us before heading out for square dancing (all campers were invited and I would have loved it if we had time). There is a dump site and water on the property that we did not need to use. Easy directions and good response from hosts..would love to stay again if we pass through.
We had such a great time staying here. Barnquiltfarm were great host and provided a safe, comfortable place to stay. They even had water and a dump site if needed. We were able to meet so many other Boondockers as well. At one time, there were 5 others staying at the same time.
Thank you!
Perfect spot to enjoy local state parks including hiking biking and kayaking the hosts were very friendly and site was very desirable hope to return soon one day
Our very first BW experience was wonderful. Can't wait to do more as we head North. Just make sure you follow the directions in and don't trust your GPS. Thank you for a great spot (finally in Florida) for my solar panels to get SUN.
The path to BarnQuiltFarm property is superb!! Quiet and secure place.
An oak driveway with Spanish moss.
My Rv at a height of 13 '2' ', do not worry, if I passed without rubbing 99% can.
Entrance is very easy, you can fill up with water, as well as a dump station and dispose of your waste before leaving in the appropriate locations.
Bill & Debbie greeted us warmly on arrival as well as a sheet describing the locations of the services.
See our video to come during our visit:
www.damononroad.com/boondocking/
This is a beautiful peace of property!! Plenty of room for all size campers there were six total when we were there and there still was plenty of space. These guys are so generous to allow us to use their property thank you very much!
We liked the place so much that we decided to spend an additional night and take the opportunity to visit the surrounding area even more.
Very large space to park, there were 6 of us at the same time at Bill's.
A very safe and quiet place as we like.
Thank you again for your great hospitality.
Rej & Lyne
Wonderful farm. Many kinds of birds, deer, and a strange call in the evenings around 9pm on back field. Absolutely would stay here again. Hosts are nice and polite. What they are allowing us to do to find a peaceful environment is incredible. Leave no trace. Thank you for the stay.
Absolutely loved it and will be back. The hosts are so polite and attentive. We didn't want to leave.
Very nice location and very quiet with a magnificent landscape! Thank you to the hosts with their hospitality and generosity.
We had a very nice stay at Emerald Oaks Farm. Not long after arriving our hosts came around to greet us and talked with all of the other campers. They are very nice. Emerald Oaks Farm is a great place to relax and enjoy the country.
Thank you very much. It was great to meet you. We enjoyed our stay on your farm and felt very safe
This was the perfect place to stop before heading into Orlando & all that entails. The hosts were very welcoming & greeted everyone upon arriving. Water was available as well as a dump station. Would definitely stop over again at this wonderfully peaceful farm.
We were one of 8 rigs staying here; and there was room for several more along the grassy former horse racing track. Everyone we spoke with was very friendly:) Our hosts made the rounds each day, stopping to visit with each guest.
Emerald Oaks provided plenty of space, fresh water, a trash can, and a brand new dump station! All the conveniences:)
Our two nights in the country on this peaceful farm were perfect. You'll never meet nicer people than these hosts. They make a point of ensuring every guest feels comfortable being there. Even better, we were lucky enough to be there when their square dance club was welcoming new members with a free lesson. I was able to join them and learn a few steps and calls. What a fun night it was! Can't praise these hosts enough.
We enjoyed our stay at Emerald Oaks Farm. It’s a very quiet, safe place to Boondock. We rode our bikes on the trail to the
Ichetucknee Springs Park. One of the springs looked very inviting but we weren’t dressed for it. Maybe next time.
This was absolutely the best boondocking experience we have had. The entire property is very well maintained. Beautiful and peaceful. The hosts were absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond by greeting us as we arrived and provided a map of the property. Our fur babies were happy little campers with the walking trails. We will definitely be back.
This is thee most wonderful place. Wide open, quiet, peaceful. Fellow Boondockers are just wonderful. Was greeted upon arrival by the hosts with a map of their property. There is a trail to walk through the forest on their property. This is my first Boondocking location through Boondocker’s Welcome and it could not get any better than this. It is mind blowing to me that people can be so generous and open their land to fellow RVers. Was only going to stay a night but I’m staying a few more nights due to the magnificence of it all. Plus, I have to stay an extra night as I will be joining our hosts for square dancing. Can it get any better than this?! Thank you thank you thank you. 💃🏻
This was our first experience with boondockers welcome. Emerald Oaks Farm is top notch as well as the host. The host were great with their communication. They were very responsive by email and text. They greeted us at the gate with a map of the place so we knew where everything was. They had all the amenities and more :) They has several others boondockers there and everyone was very friendly. We would definitely recommend this place.
Thank you for your hospitality!
Kit and Nancy
We signed up for two days and enjoyed ourselves so much that we requested a further two days! We had a super stay and enjoyed meeting the hosts and some of our fellow campers.
Thanks for allowing us to stay at your place. Peaceful. Accommodating. One of the Best.
What a gorgeous location and the hosts were extremely kind and accommodating. Hiking trail, sunsets, off the beaten path, what more could you ask for?
BarnQuiltFarm
Is a lovely peaceful spot with very pleasant and generous hosts. Several other rigs were here during our stay. Everyone seemed pretty quiet and content like us!
We really enjoyed our stay under the beautiful live oaks with these wonderful hosts. They were so nice and just wanted us to enjoy ourselves. It was a dream place for people like us in a 43 foot motorhome and tow vehicle. Plenty of space to get in and out and move around. Both our kids and dogs loved the freedom to run around and explore. There were two other campers here but plenty of space for everyone. We hope to come back and stay longer next time 🌾
We really enjoy our stay here. It was quiet and there were a lot of place to walk and run.
Hosts were very welcoming. Thanks to let us enjoy your beautiful place!
This was our first boondocking experience and we are spoiled! Bill and Deb are amazing host and show great are for their guest. There is plenty of space so you don't feel crowded. They have fresh water so you can fill your tank if you want and a place to dump your black tank. the farm was easy to find and easy accesa. It was so quiet and relaxing. We met some great people while we were there too. We highly recommend Emerald Oak Farm and we will return the next time we are in the area!
We LOVED staying here! Very beautiful and peaceful. The water and dump were added bonuses to an already perfect spot. We enjoyed the trails on the edge of the property. Very well maintained. Nice hosts.
Thank you so much for being so welcoming! Beautiful farm!
As described by many others this is a very peaceful place to stay. The hosts responded to our request within minutes, they welcomed us soon after our arrival. We were there for only one night but will stay again if in the area.
Beautiful stay. Host were welcoming and advised on their amenities to include aplace to dump and water to fill your tank. Beautiful rural setting. Thank you so much.
The hosts are as gracious as they are giving. My fellow campers were fun and generous. And my dog loved being off leash. I really enjoyed my stay and will return when in the area again. Thank you.
We want to thank our hosts for great stay at their farm. Plenty of room to maneuver (35’ with a toad)
Thanks again.
Enjoyed our evening and our very kind and helpful hosts. It was fun learning about the racetrack pond! Thank you!
Hosts were super nice. Great to have the ability to fully my water and empty my tank. Super peaceful. Yet close enough for day trips to state parks and Gainesville.
We were privileged to find this spot on short notice. The Hosts were away for the time we were there but still communicated with us through phone calls and text messages. Even though they were not there, they made us feel right at home.
Wow is what I have to say! So relaxing and enjoyable to have space! After over a month of being crammed into RV parks we were in heaven. Hang out at the RV or explore nearby State Parks. Thank you Bill and Deb.
As a newbie RV owner, this site was not ideal for me right now. This was of no fault of the owner. I am just not comfortable with parking and leveling on an angle, yet. Enough parking for several RV's just a note, if you use a generator make sure it is a quieter one. I had a louder one, and while it worked, it was a bit too much for this site. The nearest town is a few miles away, but everything closes around 9 or 10, which we found out being night owls. I had to leave my stay earlier than expected as I had to take my RV into the shop for inside (the RV) warranty issues. We may go back in the future, once I get a little more experience.
Emerald Oaks is an awesome place to kick back and relax. We were passing through with no definite plans on where to stay. We requested a stay and within a few minutes, our request was accepted. The hosts are VERY easy going. There is plenty of room to spread out but still have your privacy. Our stay was very comfortable and relaxing. We sure hope to get back there soon! Thanks for all you do!
This was our 2nd visit to BarnQuiltFarm and it was as great as our 1st. These hosts are so generous, attentive and friendly. The site is beautiful and can easily accommodate several large rigs. We highly recommend!!
We enjoyed our stay here and looking forward to coming back. It's a beautiful place. Bill and Deb were very nice. They had a trail in the back of their property. We parked by the pond. It's in a nice area where we were able to walk. Also near a nice bike trail that goes to two state parks.
From the moss covered trees lining both sides of the entry road and forming a natural tunnel to the towering Oaks at our site, we had the privilege of spending 2 nights at the most beautiful, tranquil location we could have chosen. The star-lit skies were absolutely breath-taking and the pond in our front yard was so relaxing.
Bill called the day before our arrival and informed us that he and Debbie would be away when we arrived, but for us to "make ourselves at home" and they would be back the next day. They stopped by when they returned to introduce themselves and "officially" welcome us.
The directions to the Farm are straight forward and entry is very easy for any size RV. We have a 45-ft motorhome and had no trouble entering or exiting.
We hope (and are looking forward) to staying at Emerald Oaks Farm again soon.
Thanks Bill and Debbie for a wonderful stay,
Susan and Rob
Bill and Deb were very welcoming. This was are very first experience with the boondockerswelcome site. Because we had never used the web site I was unsure how to navigate our stay so I called Bill. He answered my call right away and guided me through how things worked. He sent us directions as I hadn’t figured how to get that from the request excepted tab. When we arrived I called again as no other campers were here. They told us to park anywhere we wanted near the pond that was level. They both drove down and met us at our site. We visited a while and then Bill showed me to the fresh water location and where the dump station.
It was a great first experience.
I would highly recommend Barn Quilt Farm .
FIVE STARS!
Very nice overnight. So close to nature that my even my house cat wanted to go out to play. Very private spot next to a pond but no mosquito problem for us. Easy setup for our travel trailer. Nice host met us going in and going out, the rest of the time it was just us and nature.
Yet another amazingly wonderful visit with our host, Barn Quilt Farm. Emerald Oaks is the perfect oasis to set up and relax. The only sounds we heard were the birds singing to us every morning and every evening. Take a long walk along the trails through the woods and enjoy nature. Or, just put a lawn chair out by the pond and relax.
Easy in and out with the largest of rigs. Acres of spaces to choose from to park from full sun to shade. We highly recommend Emerald Oaks.
Spent a couple of nights at the farm on this, our second visit.. The folks greeted us warmly and invited us to make ourselves at home, explore the back trails and make use of their dump station. We were the only campers here and enjoyed the view of the pond and birds. We saw a heron, an egret, some bluebirds and Tufted Titmouse while sitting in front of our trailer enjoying the sunshine. The beautiful live oaks amaze us every time we see them, and they are everywhere here. Did a nice day-trip around Fort White and out to the Ichetucknee Springs. Got a great haircut in town on the way through. Thanks again for hosting us at your beautiful farm!
We loved our stay here... it was so roomy and we had other boondockers coming and going. We really loved the hosts, they were so welcoming and we even saw them help another camper with changing a tire!
The landscape was lovely and we hiked back on a trail he has cut in the woods. Definitely our dogs favorite spot so far : )
We loved our stay at Barn Quilt Farm. The peacefulness and quiet is unsurpassed. Easy to get in and out of. The paved bike trail is about 1/4 mile from the farm. Bill and Deb were wonderful hosts.
Couldn't have hoped for a better first BW experience. Great people, very helpful & accommodating and nice large property.
As all Boondockers before us have attested, the hosts of BarnQuiltFarm have been beyond gracious and accommodating. Both hosts took the time, separately and together, to greet us after our arrival to ensure we were comfortable with their property, its layout and the dos and don'ts for enjoying our stay, (mostly dos, though :) ).
We won't repeat everything everyone before us has said, just read/scan through the 2 years of reviews and you'll have all you need to know about these humble hosts, their magical property and the local area's abundance of sights and available activities. That said, if you enjoy breath-taking sunrises, sunsets and night skies, this is the perfect place to enjoy all three!
J&H, hungryforless
This was our first stay at a Boondockers Welcome site and we were very pleased. Easy to find and very welcoming hosts. We stayed over New Year's Eve and had a great visit with the other campers staying on the site - although we didn't make it to midnight :). Thank you for your hospitality!
We had a nice stay here. Our hosts greeted us upon arrival and we got to chat with them and learn about this wonderful setting. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return to this wonderful site and wonderful hosts. Thank you for ordering up the double rainbow!
This was my first Boondockers Welcome location. It was great! Especially appreciated the availability of water and dump station.
Gracious host.
Called the night we got in after our very long stressful drive. Stopped the next day to say hello.
Quiet peaceful farm. Plenty of room. Easy to find.
Water available and a dump. Much needed after being on the road for 3 nights before that.
Had a tire blow out on our way there. Lots of room for us to change all our tires before we headed out again.
Thanks for the great peaceful stay. Hopefully we will stay again sometime.
Very kind and helpful hosts. So nice of them to share their farm with others. I hope to visit with them again!
A perfect setup for boondocking. You have a large open camping area with many options. Can choose full sun, shade, near a pond, near trees, or anything in between. Easy access and was quiet the entire time we stayed. Very welcoming and laid back hosts.
We only stayed one night passing through but definitely would stay longer to explore the area. The farm was so easy to get to and so very spacious and quiet. The owners are very responsive we came in on the same day we requested and they guided us in upon arrival.
Such a peaceful night sleep after being on the road.
Thank you very much
Absolutely beautiful property and gracious hosts. Can’t wait to come back.
Great location 10 miles from I75, pretty drive back to their property through the oak trees with the moss hanging down. Easy access with plenty of level parking options around the pond. It was just a overnight stop for us but sure enjoyed the peace and quiet. Would like to stay longer and enjoy the surrounding area.
Illness was the cause for not staying the three nights. We were very satisfied with our stay for one night, tho. It is a beautiful and quiet spot, and our hosts were very prompt with communications.
It’s so great. Nice and quiet. The oner is very gracious and wonderful.
Thanks
Zeev Nesher
The hosts were very accommodating and friendly. Their farm has an old race track around a little pond where all the camping happens and there is plenty of room, and choices of mostly sun or mostly shade can be had. It was mostly level and hard packed ground.
Plenty to do in the area. I rode my bike on a bike path to nearby O’Leno State Park and explored one day ($2 entrance fee if on bicycle). I hope to return when I have more time to explore the park more and other interesting things in the area sometime.
Pretty good cell signal, 2 or 3 bars of Verizon.
We had an awesome experience at Emerald Oaks Farm. The parking area was easy in and out, the ground was grass/pasture but packed well enough we barley left tire tracks and our hosts were kind, welcoming and interesting to talk to. It was so quiet at night we felt like there was nobody withing miles of us. The perfect boondocking experience!
We had a nice relaxing rest from the road at Emerald Oak Farm! Lots of room for our pups to run and play, huge mossy oaks and a trail through the woods, camping looking out over the pond. Gilchrist Blue Springs State Park is nearby and we had a wonderful day there. Thank you to our kind hosts, we would definitely come back!
CompassioNomads
We enjoyed our stay on BarnQuiltFarm so much! It was such a quiet place for relaxing and enjoying the sounds of the frogs in the pond. We would love to stay here again if we are in the area.
Beautiful landscape, very large open field. We actually were able to have all four of our dogs run loose for a great run for them. They loved it as much as we did. We will definitely be back again.
BarnQuiltFarm were exceptional hosts! As many other reviews highlighted, their hospitality was unparalleled. They met us at the front gate on their UTV, showed us to racetrack pond, pointed out the flattest areas to park around the pond, and turned us loose to relax! It was a treat visiting with them throughout our three night stay. The farm was absolutely serene with little to distract you but the local and transient wildlife. We enjoyed basking in the sunshine, a campfire beneath the live oaks, and wandering the trails in the forest on BarnQuiltFarms' property. The property was a short distance to multiple state parks with picturesque hiking and tubing. Thank you again!
A beautiful, serene stay in the country. plenty of parking options in the field overlooking pond. It rained all night and we were able to walk around next morn as ground is grassy but dry. Close to hughway but no highway noise a plus. level parking.
What a stunning drive up to the farm under a dense canopy of live oaks dripping with Spanish moss.
Our stay was too short!
Hope to return to have a proper visit at the Barn Quilt Farm.
The hosts graciously met us at the farm gate in their UTV and showed us the recommended parking area overlooking a pond on their scenic Florida farm. Access to the farm was via a well maintained unpaved road with a beautiful (camera ready) treed archway with classic Florida-style Spanish Moss. We stayed one night as we were en route to an RV rally further south in Florida. We had to modify the visit date (16th) to due to a delayed forestry project, which delayed our trip departure, and subsequent arrival, and stay at Emerald Oaks Farm.
Parked by a lake, this spot was the perfect place to spend the night on our way to Colorado. Thank you soo much and hope to see you someday and do some square dancing :)
Was surprised that Florida could be so beautiful. I was really starting to miss the oak trees from back home until I pulled on their road. It was gorgeous seeing the trees overhanging the road.
Holy Wowzers! Emerald Oaks Farm is a gem. Your jaw will drop as you drive through the gorgeous old oak trees with spanish moss hanging above you....a perfect instagram post. The farm land was so peaceful and super super quiet. It was amazing to wake up in a field of such beauty. The hosts are such kind hearted folks and made our first boondocking experience wonderful. We hope to be able to come back and stay longer!!
We don't expected much for one night after a long drive , but it is a little paradise what is more worth than just a one night stand.
The stay began with a ride under a magnificent canopy of live oaks on Florida’s oldest road. The farm was peaceful and we saw our first swallow-tailed kite and Osceola turkey. The hosts were gracious and informative about the area.
Second time staying. Great Spot to relax and unwind after a swimming day at the nearby springs. Thanks again. Ken and Holly
Great hosts, beautiful farm location. This was our second time here, we hope to be back on our next trip to Florida.
Absolutely beautiful farm. The hosts were such a delight. We felt extremely welcome and were given some time to rest.
Directions were very easy to follow. When we arrived Bill & Deb were greeting some other boondockers. We were instructed where to set up and where all the ammenities were. We located ourselves near the pond. Talk about tranquil. We had a fabulous evening socializing with our new boondocker friends. It's wonderful that our hosts share such a beautiful spot. Thank you. Ken and Holly
What an amazing first introduction to BoondockersWelcome. Gracious hosts, beautiful setting and we were lucky to have another wonderful boondocker family there at the same time. Hopefully we’ll get to come back soon
I had such a lovely visit at the farm I extended it!...
The hosts are lovely and accommodating and also just allowed me to come and go as I pleased...which enabled me to pay attention to studying and webinars I am involved in...
I was invited to another square dance, and even had an offer for a car wash by the host....
The morning I departed, the hostess met me with a lovely bag of fresh from the garden herbs and arugula...we had a lovely conversation and found even more things in common with each other...
This farm is definitely a small piece of heaven which is so graciously shared by a lovely couple...Ill keep it on my list of places to return to!...
Don’t miss it!...
This was our first night boondocking and we had a great experience. Our hosts property was beautiful and set up perfectly for multiple RVs. They were very friendly and we would definitely stay there again.
We spent two days on this marvelous site.
The site was gorgeous, a lot of place, very clean with a pond and very quiet.
The hosts were very friendly ans invited us to a square danse party with there friends. A lot of fun.
Thank you for tour hospitality.
this is the first place I stayed after renewing membership to BW following about a year or so lapse...
The hosts are warm, welcoming, and friendly...
The directions to the farm are spot on and everything is laid out just as specified for convenient entry, parking and exit...
The hosts stated they want to make everything easy for guests, and they do!...
They even invited me to the lovely square dance they hold in their home, and the dance in a nearby town...
The property is beautiful, peaceful and quiet, with turtles, bullfrogs and peepers in the pond and turkey and deer in the field at dusk...
My dogs loved the freedom of being off leash...
Plenty of sun for solar collection, and shady areas if that’s what you prefer...
This is such a wonderful stay as I meander north after a bit of a stressful winter...very relaxing!...thank you!...
I highly recommend staying here...
Just a beautiful place to stay. Lots of room. We had what looked to be a couple acres around a pond to ourselves. We were offered water and a place to dump but didn’t need it. Very friendly hosts. I will keep them in mind when heading back north.
We recently stayed for 3 nights and couldn’t speak highly enough. Prior to arrival, we were sent detailed directions to the beautiful spot. It was flat, shady, quiet and ideal for visiting some local springs including Ginnie Springs and Ichetucknee State Park. Bill and Deb were wonderful, kind and welcoming and even invited us to join them and their friends square dancing on two nights! Such lovely and genuine people
Thank you for welcoming us again. We enjoyed your quiet rural homestead.
This a wonderful place to stay! Beautiful barn quilts, beautiful farm, great friends! Next time we’ll go to Ichetucknee Springs.
This was our first BDW overnite and couldn’t have been more pleased 🤗
The directions were perfect. The hosts welcomed us with smiles and the property was beautiful with tons of room! Would stay here any time! Thank you BarnQuilt Farm!!
The drive up the main road to this wonderful farm was beautiful. The street was lined with great old oaks creating a canopy of branches and spanish moss (no problem with height for the rig), it felt like we were entering a secret garden. When you arrive, you are directed to a wide open field away from the main house, nice and flat, around a quaint pond. There was a fire ring from previous campers already set up which we parked right next to so we could enjoy a campfire. BarnQuiltFarm are two of the most friendly, gracious and welcoming hosts. The field is wide open and can accommodate several campers of any size. If you have solar, you'll enjoy the wide open space, if you want a little shade park closer to the front of the property and the trees will give you some shade through the day. We spent 3 days here and truly enjoyed every moment. A State park was very close by, where we went bike riding and did some photo taking. You can also bring your kayaks and kayak there. We can't say enough great things about this host and their wonderful place. We will definitely return.
We had an absolutely lovely stay at Emerald Oaks Farm! Bill and Deb were so friendly and gracious and their property is truly beautiful. We felt so welcome and at home here--made some new friends and relaxed in the quiet country setting. We would highly recommend a stay!
We had a great stay here and really enjoyed the environment. Bill and his wife were very very accommodating. Chances are great we will come back in the future.
We really enjoyed our stay at emerald oaks farm. Our hosts were very kind and we enjoyed the company of the other boondockers here! Thank you
We kind of wish we could have stayed longer! Gracious hosts and a lovely setting around a pond. Plenty of room for the four of us who were there together to have our own space and lots of acreage to explore with our off-leash pooch. We would definitely stay here again!
Wonderful, friendly and accommodating hosts. Beautiful farm. Plenty of space next to a pond. It is private, quiet and peaceful. Located close to 2 State Parks. There is a bike path not too far from their place which we took to go to Oleno State Park. Great stay!
We spent 2 nights at this wonderful spot. Plenty of space beside the trees and next to a pond, with lots of interesting birds. The hosts were great and gave us permission to stay there even though they were going to be away for the night. Only a few miles from Ichetucknee state park, a beautiful place to swim, tube or kayak. Would love to go back at some future date.
We loved our time on Emerald Oaks Farm. Bill and Deb were out of town so we never had the privilege of meeting in person. They were quick to respond to any questions and gave clear directions to their home. The land is beautiful and private. We set up near the pond and had no difficulty leveling. Our children and dog loved the freedom of space to run and play. We will definitely be back and hope to meet the hosts face to face to give them a proper thank you.
I did not get to meet these generous hosts as they were out of town. How nice for someone to allow you to stay at their beautiful farm.
Our stay was top notch! We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful place to park! Our hosts were wonderful! We will see them again in the future!
The surroundings were beautiful and there was easy access in and out with our 42' 5th wheel. We were only sad we couldn't stay for the whole time. Our dehumidifier was greatly needed in this climate and it sucked the batteries dry from our solar panels.
Welcoming level place to relax. Quiet and dark enough to see the stars.
The hosts are friendly and welcoming and have a wonderful property for RVing. They're located in close proximity to both Ichetucknee Springs and Oleno State Parks.
Well be back for a multi night stay.
It's all been said before. Beautiful farm with lots of space, lots to see and do in a very photogenic area, and charming, warm, friendly hosts! We loved it here and a repeat visit at some point is highly likely!
Even the dog relaxed and looked so content here.
Hoping you come to Ontario some time so we can return the favor and host for you.
This place was great! Wide open and lots of space to park around the pond. If you are looking for a quiet and secluded place to relax, then I highly recommend this one.
Thank you so much for allowing us to stop back by on our way to Georgia. It was an encore performance from our last visit a couple of weeks ago. You guys are the best. Please come back to Georgia and let us host you guys sometime.
Although our hosts were away during most of our stay, their directions and other communications made everything perfectly clear. Their access road Is quite beautiful; we took several long walks. We camped by the pond, and happened to enjoy the lunar eclipse...excellent dark skies for sky viewing...and so quiet. This was our first Welcome Boondocker experience...Many thanks to our hosts! Hope to talk with you more during our next visit.
Nice host. We arrived a little late and he was very gracious showing us where to park.
A huge thank you to our hosts. Their directions were very clear and our camping spot was beautiful. There is nothing like sitting outside in the evening beside a pond listening to the bull frogs.
This location is really beautiful- peaceful land with a little lake. My dogs had plenty of room to run off-leash. Met other full-timers staying there- always fun to have a neighbor for a few days! :) The hosts came by to say hello, and showed me where the water and dump were located. Very nice people! Stop in here if you have a chance.
Our stay at Emerald Oaks Farm was enchanting from the moment we arrived until we departed. Our host warmly met us at the gate, directed us to our site and gave us the lay of the land. --- There is plenty of space to park and turn around. Everything is exactly as described. --- If you enjoy Square Dancing you will certainly want to stay here. We attended two dances and enjoyed meeting others in the community. Our hosts are incredibly warm people. It would be hard to describe our host in a few words. The previous comments speak volumes. We hope our travels will bring us through here again soon. Thank you for the fantastic stopover.
The Barn Quilt Farm is located in a gorgeous area with easy access to multiple water activities and springs.
We had such a fantastic stay at Emerald Oak Farms! The property is beautiful and our kids had so much fun running around, climbing trees and fishing for minnows in the pond! We had some trouble with our slide out as we were leaving and Bill was so quick to hop in the gator and offer assistance. We are so thankful for the hospitality and will definitely return!
Our first boondockers experience. We were even taken to a nite of square dancing. What a treat! Wonderful stay.
We did not end up actually being able to be in our rv durning our stay as we had a death in the family and had to fly out, however these hosts were so gracious letting us park there and even keep our rig there extra days. It was a beautiful quiet north Florida farm :) they had water and septic dump available and they even gave us some delicious apple home made muffins as a parting gift :) thank you guys so much for a wonderful stay, and we will definitely stop back and see you again!!
Lovely country setting with lots of space. We got in kinda late and our host were planning a trip in early morning so we didn't get to spend as much time together as we had hoped to. Will definitely try to catch this spot on another adventure though this area.
We stayed for 2 nights at the barnquiltfarm and could have stayed longer. Located on a field next to a pond at their farm it was so relaxing, the only sounds came from the frogs at night. We had two peacefull nights and would definetely go back there
William and Marsha were very generous in their invitation to camp for an evening in their nearby fields. We were near a pond and the quietness was very restful. We really enjoyed out stay.
This was our first boondocking stay. It was AWESOME! The location is so pretty and Bill and Deb were so friendly, kind and accommodating. It was perfect. Thank you so much again!
The perfect first boondockers welcome experience, thanks Bill & Debbie!
Our first BoondockersWelcome host location was just perfect! Easy access from the highway, a beautiful country location, and a big-rig friendly host. The Hosts have a peaceful farm with large trees dripping with Spanish Moss and Egrets hunting in the pond for breakfast.
It was raining pretty steadily when we arrived and all through the night, so we (reluctantly) had to run the generator rather than open up the windows.
Thank you so much for sharing your farm with us.
Sincerely,
Gerard & Mari (& Sampson too!)
I was injured prior to our stay so we had a hurried stay and not much visiting. Would live to visit again as it is such a serene setting.
The hosts were amazing, it’s a beautiful farm and we set up camp right next to the pond in their large acreage. We have two young boys ages three and seven, we had fun exploring the woods and guessing about the ages of some old farming equipment that we found during our exploration. The public library is only seven minutes away, and we ate dinner at the great outdoors restaurant in High springs, very nearby as well. There’s a community playground about five minutes away, this is a great location. The hosts were phenomenal, the weather beautiful, great location. Sadly we could only stay one night. We will surely be back. Thank you so much. ❤️
Emerald Oaks Farm is a nice open, tree lined property with cordial hosts. They made our stay overnight quite pleasant.
The canopy lined, hard packed road to the property is another nice touch.
Thanks for the stay.
Beautiful prt. This was our first boondockers welcome stay. Hosts we're very responsive. Location was a perfect stopover off of 75. Don't let the dirt road scare you. We arrived in rain and the road is well packed and maintained. Easy to park our 45 foot toyhauler pulled by Ford 350 dually.
This was a great quiet location, making it much different than the tight parking lot camp sites.
Nice flat open area with deep well water and a dump station took care of what we needed since we have solar panels. The hosts are friendly and we would sure come back if they would have us.
We enjoyed our stay a second time. The pups were also so happy to return, you would have thought they owned the place. Our hosts were welcoming and so gracious to open their property to us again. Thank you!
We were only able to stay one night but hope to return at some point in the future. Wonderful place!
Beautiful rustic location, quiet and peaceful. Met the hosts briefly as they were heading out to a square dance. Very nice spots for boon docking, regret I'm only staying one night as I pass through.
We want to thank Bill & Deb for allowing us the chance to stay at the farm. It is a very special place. We had the chance to enjoy the most beautiful sunset in a very peaceful setting. The approach to the farm was a short country road with old oaks and lots of hanging moss. The farm it self allowed for plenty of room to make turn arounds and leave our toad attached. We would most definitely give their home a five star rating and recommend anyone looking for a safe haven for the night or nights to give them a shout. We will be back if our travels bring us this way again.
Sincerely,
Deb D & Tom C
Emerald Oaks Farm Hosts were very welcoming and helpful while our small family enjoyed the local area. our kids loved learning about solar and sustainable practices to run a farm house. We greatly appreciated the easy access, convenient amenities, and traditional culture. We hope to visit again!

This is a very peaceful spot, so quiet and pretty. Exceptional hosts! They asked us to their square dance club. We were exhausted and passed on the invitation but we slept the whole night through and it was heaven. Thanks so much.
We had a fabulous stay at BarnQuiltFarm, our host was just great and invited us Square Dancing which we enjoyed along with another lovely boon docking couple from Nova Scotia, at the evening we where lucky to meet an accommodating friendly community. The site was large and we could pick where we wanted to park up. Great roads for running on too, quiet and hard packed sand.
Host met us at the gate, with a warm smile and a greeted our dog Sage with affection. He pointed out a few spots for us to set up to take advantage of our solar system. We were invited, along with another boondocking family staying here to attend his local Square Dance Club and had a blast. Unfortunately we were not able to meet Bill's wife, as she was away during our visit. Perhaps next time we travel through this area we will have the pleasure. Easy spot to access with our 32 foot Southwind and tow vehicle. Nice to have water and dump station those are always a bonus. Thank you again Bill. Maybe we can one day host you in Nova Scotia.
The hosts @ Emerald Oaks are down to earth friendly and their little patch of country is a relaxing location with easy access. Thank you, Emerald Oaks!
Enjoyed the country side and property!
Had good conversation and a bike ride with the host Debbie. Loved being in the countryside. The frogs by the pond were not bothersome to me, I'm a big nature fan, so... :)
Thanks very much for hosting me!
We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. We were greeted warmly at the gate and shown numerous locations we could choose to park. There was ample space to walk and exercise and let our puppy explore. We will definitely be back. Thank you both!
Our hosts welcomed us at the gate to their property even though it was after dark, and gave us several options for parking our rig. It's unfortunate that we only stayed one night, because they were so friendly, the area is quiet and pretty, with plenty of space for our kids to run and play.
BarnQuiltFarm was an amazing host! Making sure everything was good during our stay and told us of area sites to see while we were there as well. It is a dirt road, but very manageable and well worth the trip. He let us park where we needed to maximize our solar intake. They were wonderful with our kids and our dogs. It's a very peaceful property and we enjoyed listening to the frogs at night. A great host for sure! We can't wait to visit again!
We just arrived and we love already and plan to return some day. We can only spend one night but it is wonderful. The bullfrogs can be a tad noisy :). Loved it. Even got to visit with another boondocker family staying here at the same time. Thanks for opening your farmstead for others to enjoy. Tom and Joyce.
Such a welcoming place. A huge field to choose from. Friendly hosts, we almost went square dancing! Thank you so much for your hospitality.
This was our first time with Boondockers welcome and we were BarnQuitFarms's first guest! We were greeted by the owner who showed us around the property, and recommended different spots to park. He was very nice and made us feel very welcomed. We were able to see horses and cows just walking down the street, which the kids loved. His wife was just a peach with the kids. This is place is very relaxing and will definitely be coming back! Im glad our first experience was with this lovely couple and am very grateful for their hospitality.
