Even though I messed up with arrival date Wendy and Daryl accommodated us. Sorry about the mixup :(
But Wendy showed us places in the area and even gave us a detailed map!!! Come on where can you find this type of hospitality?
Darryl was so easy to talk to and funny
And Ray was like the cutest dog ever!!!!
Thank you so much
You can't find better place to stay..very quiet and well laid out place. Thanks again for the stay.
Amazing hosts with a nice setting and peaceful place. They were very helpful and made us comfortable. Her experience as kayaking and as a guide have been very beneficial to us to enjoy the region. She shared good ideas and gave us good advices. Also, she gave us very informative paper. We are very grateful to have stayed at their place and hope to see them in September.
Site was easy to locate; 'W' and her Portugese Water dog welcomed us warmly; helped us get situated and set up with hydro & water; then 'W' took us on a tour of their property. What a remarkable place they have!
If I wasn't so inept, I might try to post a few photos of their imaginative yet 'true to nature' landscaping.
We re-named it to 'Heaven on Huron'.
'W' had said they worked long into the evenings, so were slower to start in the mornings, and on taking in everything they've done to the property, they've earned the right to be slow morning starters. They must be exhausted each night with all the work & projects they have on the go.
We pulled out quietly in the morning trying not to disturb their well-earned rest; so didn't get a chance to say a proper 'good bye', so I feel I should apologize as I'm thanking them for a great stay!
I am very comfortable giving 5* to these hosts
Wendy+Darryl took time out to socialize with us in spite of being busy preparing to host Canada Day fireworks.
I had trouble getting into our spot only because I didn't do it the way they recommended.
Definitely enjoyed our stay with them.
