We are on a small street with only street parking available in front of our house. It is a quiet neighbourhood with friendly neighbors. There is no water hookup but we can provide you with a hose to fill up your tank. Electricity is provided via an extension cord from the house.
This is a quiet area and we need to respect the neighbours privacy and comfort. You are more than welcome but please realize we can only provide street parking for 1 or 2 overnight stays.
Paved street parking, level curb access.
Street parking 1/2 block down, still visible from street
Walking distance from Trout Lake which has an off leash area for dogs. We are also close to Commercial Drive, a local shopping & restaurant area. Sky train is a short walk away providing transportation around Vancouver.
I arrived early evening and Maggie was really comprehensive that I could not make it there before the sunset. Despite the rain, she got the electricity cable already outside for me to use it whenever I arrived. We briefly saw each other at a two-meters distance. She told me to not hesitate to let her know if there was a problem. Everything was perfect though. I slept like a baby. Thank you!
A safe and quiet spot to park your small RV overnight in Vancouver. Helpful and friendly info about the local neighborhood sites provided by our host. Thankyou!
Lovely hosts, helpful with everything.
Enjoyed staying at this beautifully treed, quiet location in the middle of Vancouver, and chatting with the hosts.
We had a wonderful short stay at this quiet location. They left a sign out front as to where to park. it was a great start off to a great weekend as we headed to the Squamish area. (Even though the Canucks lost....)
Thank you for accommodating us.
We enjoy staying at Maggie place. They took time with us and I learn a lot on e Bike and also a bike rack that they order from Holland. We took a glass of wine with them and talk about there many projects and also travelling experience. Thank you to both of you
A quite residential street with quick access to biking trails and trout lake. Hosts were friendly and attentive. Our 25ft motorhome fit nicely. Thank you hosts!
This was my first Boondockers Welcome experience and I couldn't have asked it to go any better! They immediately made me feel welcome and at home, and were truly the kindest family. This is a quiet and tight knit neighborhood, where neighbors chat with you and a place you feel safe. There is a beautiful dog park within walking distance that my pup and I enjoyed greatly. As well as a popular strip of restaurants and nice bars just a few waking blocks the opposite direction. I would highly recommend staying with WhatMaggieSaid!
Very nice stay. Pleasant Couple and quiet place to park.
This was the perfect location, minutes from downtown. We were greeted by our host who helped us get set up with some water and electric and then was gracious enough to invite use in for some great conversation about our travels. She gave us some great tips about our upcoming locations. We would definitely stay again. Hopefully this summer when we do our trip to alaska.
I had a wonderful and quiet stay in Vancouver. The host invited me in for a glass of wine and we had a great conversation. Thank you so much!
always a peaceful night at this location
TSherman had clear, polite texting communication right from the start. They allowed us the use of power cord and gave helpful direction to the sky train and a breakfast restaurant. We had a busy schedule but we invited into their home the following morning to have a friendly chit chat, and we toured our rv.
Overall this stay was comfortable, safe, on a quiet street, and was a lovely first boondocker experience. Thank you TSherman for your kind hosting :)
These hosts were friendly and helpful! We had car trouble and arrived late. They were very accommodating and offered to let us extend our stay if needed. They left us info on where to park, public transportation, and local amenities. They were very easy to communicate with. We didn’t use any hook ups but everything was available if we did. We just parked on the street with our truck and camper and had a very quiet night. Quick walk to a major transit station. It was an easy 15 minute ride to Chinatown/Gas Town and we took the Aquabus from there to Granville Island. The residential streets are narrow, not suited for a big rig but worked fine for us. It’s a beautiful neighborhood and they were wonderful hosts!
The value of a safe place to stay in a busy city is very valuable. I did not get a chance to visit but the kindness and goodwill was received. I do hope that they will allow me to return the favor if they make to Florida. Thank you.
What Maggie Said was more than we could ask for, A great location to get around lower mainland and the pull up spot was quiet and secluded. Trout Lake community centre is only a short walk away with heaps to do and the SkyTrain is a 10 minute walk.
What Maggie Said was so accommodating, and very easy to communicate with. We loved our stay and would happily stay again, or once we are settled have them stay with us.
Thanks for everything.
You'll have a peaceful rest under the big trees at this spot, and the kindest hosts you could wish for. A city oasis.
We had a very quiet night on a beautiful green spot.
Hope to meet again and to have some longer chat about traveling

These kind hosts made us welcome on short notice, and we were so grateful for the quiet spot! Very peaceful, close to Trout Lake Park, it's a gentle refuge for the weary traveller. HIghly recommended!
Our stay with TSherman was great. They were really welcoming and friendly.
Their location is in a great area and it was quick and easy to get into town as well as near local parks.
Would definitely stay again when we're next in Vancouver with the van!
2nd time i parked here !
Great people, nice location.
Close to dog friendly park, Whiskey had a great time.
Short walking distance to public transportation. Very convenient!
Thank you again.
Adam & i very much enjoyed meeting you :)
Quiet and safe neighborhood
Very easy communication
Convenient location - close to public transportation
I would stay there again :-)
We spent a quiet and safe night at Tricias and her husbands boondocking spot, thanks so much again. It was very easy to communicate with her and the place was perfectly fine, only a few minutes outside downtown Vancouver. Great stay!
We stayed at "What Maggie Said" in June and thorough enjoyed our stay.
It was exciting to hear about our host's travels and their future camping plans. We got a few vanlife tips that we will definitely use for future trips!
They live relatively close to a metro line so getting into the city center was very easy. We also biked a ton (they are about 25-30 minutes bike ride from the city).
Very nice to meet you both briefly! I would recommend staying here! Great Location to everything!
