Have you stayed at this host location?
Leave a reference for this hostNarrow driveway, spot under trees, our three slides work well here including canopy. Home is on Rainy Lake, although site would be in back of house. You are welcome to sit on the deck to lake, use kayaks if you desire. Voyageurs National Park a 10 minute drive by car or boat.
Generator must be the quiet kind, pets must be friendly and must pick up after pets. We pump lake water for watering grass etc, you are welcome to that, but we have a well, so can’t fill from that. 15 amp power is mainly for emergency....no turnaround in driveway, must back in.
Blacktop two lane county road, must back into driveway about 500, we do this with our 5th wheel.
On property, close to rig.
Spot avaiable only June through Sept, possibly Oct....we travel some during the summer, so won’t be around at all times... we do like to stay home during our short summers.
Rainy Lake, Kettle Falls Resort, Island tent camping in the park. Canada 7 miles to town, then across the Rainy River. Paper mill tour...
Rick was great, super responsive yet chill. Thanks Rick
Yet another great Boondockers Welcome experience! They offered me a list of things to do and places of interest as soon as I got settled in. They brought me out some cookies and also gave me a hand made mask. They're very generous hosts! The weather wasn't cooperative for a boat ride, but visiting with the hosts and being able to have coffee on their dock was priceless! I highly recommend staying at On Rainy Lake if you find yourself in the area. I can't wait to go back again!
They met me out in the driveway in the pouring rain and helped me back in. Beautiful place. Really nice people. They left me a care package of tomatoes and a cucumber when I left. Wish I could’ve stayed longer. Thank you so much.
Situated right on the lake. Hosts were very accommodating and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.
We had an amazing tay with Rick & Robbie!
They hosted our family in their beautiful lake front property and were such an amazing hosts!
Our 36ft motorhome fit without a problem on the left side of the garage. They helped us park, and allowed us to enjoy their amazing space including their deck looking out the water, the boat dock where my kids & I were able to swim and even take their kayaks out to the water! Rick also took us on a ride in his boat and showed us around! It was such an amazing experience and we are so thankful!
Thank you again Rick & Robbie for your hospitality and for opening your home to RVers
The hosts are two of the nicest people you could meet. We really enjoyed getting to know them. Great tips for scenic areas to explore as well as restaurants to try. The highlight for us was getting to see a portion of Voyageurs National Park from the water!
