18 acres in the country. Quiet and secure. Camp beside our pond, catch a fish. Several parking areas available from near the road to 1/2 mile back from the road. One pull through site in the shade.Take your pick. Fresh deep well water available to fill RV tanks. If you schedule a stay here we ask for a time window and that if you can't make it or will be late, that you at least call and inform us. As we must be here to guide you to a parking site. We've had one person schedule a stay and then never show inspite of telling us before hand they would call if they weren't going to make it. We only have a 15 amp electrical hookup and charge $5 per day for that. Cell phone coverage is marginal.
Behave as you would expect visitors to behave at your own home.
Good gravel road 1.5 mile off paved road. 12 miles from E-Way .
We have a shaded pull through site available where a toad or trailer can remain hooked to the rig if needed. Quick and easy in and out.
Send message to check on site availability.
Frankenmuth is the biggest attraction in the area for tourists. Lake Huron 50 miles north or east.
Snuffy's Tree farm folks were like family to me. Their homestead was peaceful and vast; great hiking! The site was pull-thru -- no backing, no tight spots at all, and most fascinating was their solar set-up, greenhouse plans, and garden. It's so nice to meet such interesting, good people; also very sharing. Thank You Snuffy's. KK and I enjoyed every minute and were comfortable and safe.
Our host was very understanding that our arrival would be delayed and met us on our new arrival day. We called enroute to let them know our arrival time and they met us outside to help us park and showed us where to plug in. Excellent communication with hosts. We had a nice socially distanced conversation about our travels and we also chatted about their property which included a lovely vegetable garden, sunflowers and an impressive fishing pond. We enjoyed an afternoon stroll and restful nights sleep next to the pond which made for a perfect view with our morning coffee. Wish we could have stayed longer, thank you both for sharing your wonderful property with us!
We stayed for 3 nights and this was an awesome place. Loved the beautiful setting. Our hosts were very friendly and wonderful folks. This is our third boondockers experience and can't say enough good things about it. I highly recommend Snuffy's Tree farm.
We could have stayed forever. Friendly, informed and busy couple. They have created a paradise with gardens and fruit trees everywhere. Our camping spot was perfect. We even had a beautiful view of the pond.
First night of our travels out west and first ever Boondockers Welcome stay. Could not have asked for better experience than at Snuffy’s tree farm. Truly gracious hosts and enjoyable conversation. Will hope to travel back to northern Michigan again for a visit. Thank you.
This was our first boondocking and boondockers welcome experience on our travels. The hosts were friendly and helpful, and their land was beautiful and peaceful.
We were able to visit with family and know that our rv was in a safe spot.
Shuffy’s tree farm is quiet and beautiful. The spot we stayed in was a very easy pull through site and the the Snuffy’s were welcoming and kind. My husband also enjoyed fishing from their pond.
Great place for a rest. Easy to find. Nice walking path. Host are very friendly and helpful people. They shared a lot of ideas for new adventures. We enjoyed a good visit and talk sitting by the pond.
Sad to leave these folks. Could have stayed forever. Thank you for being so good to us and our dogs. Forever on our hearts
I felt very welcome. We had a great visit sitting around their beautiful pond. The pull thru parking was perfect and a good nights rest was had by all. Thanks Friends!
Was able to sit down and have an actual discussion this year before heading off again hahaha. Great hospitality and friendly people. Was nice to catch up and get to know them more.
We had a wonderful time staying at Snuffy's Tree Farm. Kirk and Rachelle are warm and welcoming. They have so many great stories to tell and gave us lots of information to help us plan the next leg of our journey into the UP. Their property is located on a gravel road that does not get much traffic so it is quiet and peaceful, perfect for a good night's sleep.
A beautiful place to stay. Kirk and Rachele were warm and welcoming. They shared places to visit in our travels through Michigan. Gave my husband advice on electrical questions we had. We went to a great German area called Frankenmuth which was about 40 minutes away. Would recommend staying here for a quiet time.
Kirk and Rachelle have a beautiful spot. There’s a nice pond and lots of mature trees for shade. Birds and wildlife are all around. We sat up talking with Kirk and Rachelle till well after dark and really enjoyed their company. They are both very nice people. We hope to see them again when we are in Michigan. Thanks for beefing great hosts.
Although my stay was quite brief (overnight) I was met with kindness and would have loved to have stayed longer but I had to get back to Canada. From the conversations we did have it was a pleasure getting to know them and I hope to pass through again on my next journey. Thank-you Kirk and Rachele! Cheers!
Nice, friendly hosts. Unfortunately, due to recent rains, we had to park by the road which surprisingly had a lot of very fast traffic. A few bugs but just the time of year.
Thank you to our great hosts. They have a wonderful place and we enjoyed our time with them. They encouraged us to use thier property and we did. We had a couple of nice walks and meandered by the pond watching the fish and frogs. I highly recommend a stay with these really nice people.
We had a delightful one night stay (our second time here)and it was wonderful to see our hosts again. great spot.
We stayed here for a night on our way home to Ontario. They were most welcoming and accommodating despite us having to change our arrival time for to the Labour Day traffic. They have a lovely location and we hope to return to spend a bit more time there!
We enjoyed staying one night at Snuffy's Tree farm's home. They are very kind people. We could also speak in French. Interesting Boondocking site close to a pond. Marvellous! Good discussion during the evening beside the fireplace. Wish it remains enough wood for the winter... We appreciated very much the corns they gave to us from their garden.very generous people. We wish to see them again.
Our first time staying as a boondocker was a very pleasant experience with Snuffy's as our host. They made the visit very enjoyable and quite smooth. A very quiet spot and very peaceful setting in their backyard and next to their pond. We spent 3 nights with them while my wife and I toured the area. Frankenmuth was a short drive away and enjoyable. Thanks to Snuffy's Tree Farm for their Hospitality.
We had such a wonderful time with Snuffy and family. They were such gracious hosts, and we would recommend staying here if you enjoy sitting and talking in a very peaceful place. We were also close enough to Lake Huron to spend a day on the beach.
We visited on July 29 and had a nice evening talking to our hosts.
We stayed 1 night, and enjoyed very much this peaceful and quiet place, our host where very nice and friendly.
We stayed one night at this wonderful, peaceful location with great hosts. We look forward to returning another time and highly recommend this spot.
We spent just one night at Snuffy's Tree Farm, but could easily have stayed longer. Kirk and Rachel were waiting for us at the end of their driveway at 9:30 at night to guide us to our quiet, restful spot on their beautiful property. It was too late to visit then, but we had a good visit the next morning. Very helpful and generous hosts. We highly recommend.
Kirk and Rachel are the perfect host. Don't let the gravel road stop you from entering their park like setting. A wild fox watched us set up. Canadian geese floated in the pond and deer roamed in the back field. As night fell and frogs crocked we enjoyed time to talk with Kirk and Rachel about our lives journeys. We will be back. We arrived as strangers and left as friends.
Thank you Kirk and Rachelle for your fantastic spot. My family and I spent our 1st night of our 23 day journey and had a great time visiting with you both. Wonderful hosts! Thank you.
Kirk and Rachel emailed me and let me know that they would be away for a few days and we could still use their property to stay the night. They left a sign with the name of my Roadtrek
(Ms. Holiday) at the foot of the drive so I would know where to turn in. Even though we had never met they opened up their home turf for a couple of Boondockers. Amazing!
Found them to be of a caring nature, wish we could have stayed, but the tree clearance was just too tight for a newer size class A . Nice location though and seemed quiet too.
Beginning my trip from London Ontario my first stop was here at Snuffy's Tree farm and I was welcomed and made to feel right at home. I was actually nervous setting out on my own but was reassured all would be well so it was a thoroughly great start to my trip and I would recommend a stay there to anyone travelling in that area. Would certainly recommend stopping here!
