My place is a rabbit farm. You are welcome to pull in near the building at the road if you have a very large RV. It's easy in and out. It's quite close to the road. If you have a smaller camper, you can park farther away from the road.
If you have pets, you must keep them on a leash for the protection of the rabbits. Feel free to help out with chores or just take a tour of the farm.
*Pull through parking would place you RIGHT at the road. The smaller you are, the more options you have!
I don't have water hook up unless you are small and come close to the house. I do have water available, if you need to take a shower or use restroom.
Please note***Our WIFI out here is very slow. You can use it if you are a smaller camper and move up closer to the house. It doesn't reach down by the road.
No pets near the rabbits. The rabbits will kill themselves if they are spooked.
Children can't be unsupervised due to ponds, animals and other farm hazards that children can get hurt on.
My house is directly off the highway. Easy in and out. It is very rural and can be tough to find with traffic on your tail. If I know when you are arriving, I'll be out there to flag you down so you don't miss the driveway. If you DO miss the driveway, there is a huge church parking lot about a mile down the road that you can turn around in. If you miss it from the other way, you can go down to the first right, turn on the next left and come back around again.
You can park it next to your rig. There's plenty of room to park it.
Due to my farm, I'm always home sometime during the day/night. I'm not able to start traveling for 5 years, when my child starts college. This gives me 5 years to pay it forward then it will be my time to boondock with others. I know there are less places in the east to boondock, so I am just available to offer my place. It's not fancy, but at you are not right next to another person AND it's free!
An hour from Greensboro, NC. An hour from Raleigh/Cary/Durham. Thirty minutes from Sanford.
We are known for the famous fruit cake factory, Southern Supreme. They offer tours.
We have lots of farms to tour with People's First Tourism. There is City Tap Dancing/Bar in Pittsboro as well as the Local Brewery. There are some vineyards to tour. Close to Carrboro and Chapel Hill that is always hopping! (about 30 minutes from both).
Lots of great restaurants and home of Aunt Bee's grave.
30 minutes from Jordan Lake, and other good parks for trails.
We cannot say enough about our stay at crystalwill2. The property was very easy to get to, and very accessible to park our rig. The kids had a fun time seeing the rabbit farm, and we really enjoyed getting to know our host. Crytalwill2 was very accommodating to make sure we had all that we needed to be comfortable. We would highly recommend a stay here :)
We had a nice overnight with Crystal and toured her rabbit farm. She shared electricity which was much appreciated as it had been raining for days and solar recharging wasn’t happening. We arrived in the evening and Crystal guided us in without any issues. We recommend this property as Crystal was a wonderful host.
