Have you stayed at this host location?
As of 2019, I am still at the farm. I no longer farm so there are no farm animals here, but you are welcome to come to have a place to stay.
The spot still available is near the road but tucked in between the side of an empty house and woods. It's wide enough for slide outs. It's not a beautiful "view" site but it's a place to stay for the night. You are welcome to look for other places on the property with a better view if we haven't had too much rain.
I have a dog and as long as your pet is friendly, pets are ok. Due to living on a highway, I recommend keeping your pet on a leash.
My house is directly off the highway. Easy in and out. It is very rural and can be tough to find with traffic on your tail. If I know when you are arriving, I'll be out there to flag you down so you don't miss the driveway. If you DO miss the driveway, there is a huge church parking lot about a mile down the road that you can turn around in. If you miss it from the other way, you can go down to the first right, turn on the next left and come back around again.
You can park it next to your rig. There's plenty of room to park it.
I'm available until June 2022 as I will be leaving to travel.
An hour from Greensboro, NC. An hour from Raleigh/Cary/Durham. Thirty minutes from Sanford.
We are known for the famous fruit cake factory, Southern Supreme. They offer tours.
We have lots of farms to tour with People's First Tourism. There is City Tap Dancing/Bar in Pittsboro as well as the Local Brewery. There are some vineyards to tour. Close to Carrboro and Chapel Hill that is always hopping! (about 30 minutes from both).
Lots of great restaurants and home of Aunt Bee's grave.
30 minutes from Jordan Lake, and other good parks for trails.
I got so much done. My host greeted me and got me hooked up to water and electric.
The house was empty and she offered laundry and a hot shower.
It was the first time I have stopped 2 nites since I started.
She was so nice and accommodating beyond.
Wish her well in her travels.
Crystalwill2’s spot was nice, clean and comfortable. She let us fill our fresh water tank which was great. There’s a state park near where we dumped our gray tank. We would surely stay here again!
Crystal met us and helped us get set up.
After visiting the area, we visited with her and she filled us in on the stories and history of the area.
Hope to meet up with Crystal again in her travels and will stay in touch.
Thank you for a wonderful stay Crystal.
Crystalwill2 was very accommodating and friendly, accepted us on short notice and greeted us at the driveway. Access to parking was easy and level enough to not even have to disconnect. Happy to hear she and her son are going to start their own adventures in traveling. Her recommendation of visiting the Southern Supreme fruitcake company was a delight and highly recommend a visit, it's not your normal fruit cake. Hope that in the future our paths will cross.
We cannot say enough about our stay at crystalwill2. The property was very easy to get to, and very accessible to park our rig. The kids had a fun time seeing the rabbit farm, and we really enjoyed getting to know our host. Crytalwill2 was very accommodating to make sure we had all that we needed to be comfortable. We would highly recommend a stay here :)
We had a nice overnight with Crystal and toured her rabbit farm. She shared electricity which was much appreciated as it had been raining for days and solar recharging wasn’t happening. We arrived in the evening and Crystal guided us in without any issues. We recommend this property as Crystal was a wonderful host.
