We had a fantastic stay with Chris_Lyn, the concrete pad was perfect and level and water an 15 amp service was welcome. Chris_Lyn are fun to chat with and hopefully will be friends to travel with one day. Thanks for a great stay and a fun evening of story telling.
Chris and Lyn were great hosts with a very usable rv site. I was only able to stay a couple of nights, but will definitely be back. Great tips on where to fly fish!
Thanks again Chris and Lyn

My wife and I stayed at ricechr for a few nights while moving our daughter to Amherst, MA. Great level pad for parking. Hosts offered use of water and electric which were appreciated. Private, wooded neighborhood, but still close to town. Highly recommend!
We arrived around 6:30pm and were greeted by our host who helped guide us in to the purpose built spot so was very level and let us hook up to his electric.
Beautiful setting in the grounds of their house and surrounded by woodland so very peaceful and quiet.
The hosts were soo welcoming, friendly and had some great stories to tell. We had some drinks with them and were laughing and joking all night.
Great couple, great setting and great nights sleep.
Highly recommend and would stay again.
Cement pad for parking and peaceful. I was greeted by host make sure I was comfortable, very pleasant and polite. Being the fall season the surroundings were absolutely beautiful.
Thank you for being a host
If you are looking for a beautiful very quiet place in the country, this is your place. Our host warmly greeted us as we pulled in and he helped us quickly get situated and set up.
Directions provided by the host were spot on, and we had no trouble finding it. You have to back into the driveway from the road, but don’t let that scare you. The host’s site is near the end of a dead end road and as such, there is no traffic to worry about while you are positioning your rig in the road to get into the drive. Once you are in the driveway it is a straight shot back to a level concrete pad. Heaven!
Be sure to visit Quabbin Park and Reservoir if you are looking for something to do in the area. Also visit Phoenix Fruit Farm during the months of August through October for some great apple picking.
Chris and his family were so welcoming and friendly! He gave us some great places to visit while in the area and was always a text away. We really appreciated the hospitality and will remember his location if we pass through the area again.
Another wonderful experience at Chris’! Thanks very much for the stay!
We had a wonderful visit with ricechr! We arrived and there was a nice level pad for us to back on to. They were so kind, and it was a safe place to have our RV for a big rainstorm that came through on the last night. We took a short trip to Boston, and explored nearby Amherst. Our hosts shared lots of information with us over cheese and wine, and we hope someday we will see them again. It was great to make new friends!
This was a great stay with a very welcoming host. He was available when I arrived and helped this newbie set-up which I greatly appreciated and didn’t expect! The site was awesome, a nice level concrete pad. Water and electric were great to have and easy to access. My thanks for letting me park!
More than gracious. We had a wonderful time staying at ricechr. Both were sincere and we had a lot in common. Site was set up beautifully. Lots to do in the area like hiking swimming and site seeing.
Chris was pleasant and helpful. Nice location. Highly recommend. Our 5th wheel is 34.5 ft and we were able to fit.
In the hills above Amherst, the location is a bit cooler than the town and located in magical forest land. It was a quick drive down into town to restaurants and museums. The parking location away from the house allows you to come and go without disturbing the hosts. My Verizon service wavered between low 4G and slow 3G with and without my booster at this location. Thank you so much for providing this beautiful space!
We enjoyed visiting the nearby towns. The Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory near Deerfield is awesome. It is the best we have seen in our travels. We had a nice visit with ricechr. They are friendly and accommodating hosts.
We had a pleasant stay at ricechr’s host location.
The location was easy to get to, a level cement pad and offered 15 amp electric and water. Nights were quiet.
We were able to explore the surrounding area including the Norman Rockwell museum, Amherst and a few more quaint villages.
We will request this location when back in the area and highly recommend it to others.
The spot here is just beautiful - and so close to the things I’d come to the area to do...
A quiet spot in the woods which also leant itself to introspection, study and to catch up on some crafting...
WEBs yarn store is only thirty minutes away and has beautiful selection of yarn - for the fiberholics out there, and Amherst is even closer for contra or English country dance...
My small dogs enjoyed walking in the woods a few times each day and marking every bush/tree possible...
Rhododendrons - one of my favorites - are starting to bloom and are gorgeous!...
I met the hosts briefly the day of arrival, and talked more extensively to the mr. of the couple on the anticipated day of departure...he was very interesting and enjoyable to visit with...as I’ve exierienced with other boondockers hosts, we have a lot in common...
I definitely recommend a stay with ricechr!...
Excellent sheltered site to enjoy the first Nor'easter of the season.
Wonderful hosts - hope we can visit in better weather to enjoy the beautiful wooded location.
Thank you.
We had a wonderful experience. The site is private and beautiful and our hosts couldn’t have been more gracious. Thank you again to our hosts for their generosity and hospitality. Super hosts!!!
A wonderful Boondocker site. Unfortunately we didn‘t met Chris and Lyn, but everything was uncomplicated. The location is in the middle of the woods. But Amherst is nerby. Don‘t miss a Football Game of the UMASS :-) Thanks to Chris and Lyn for the nice hospitality
We had a great time! Our hosts were friendly, helpful and a lot of fun. They had a flat concrete pad for setting up our RV and provided electricity (15 amp) and water. Beautiful surroundings with lots of wildlife. But we didn't see any moose.
