Retired. Like my peace and quiet. Love dogs and cats. Details: I am a musician. I play mostly old time, traditional mountain music, and some folk. I use the Creeper Trail a lot to bike ride and walk the dog. I also kayak in the nearby lakes. And I love to travel in my Roadtrek. I live on a sustainable tree farm. I now have a young and very active Labrador dog. She is very friendly and loves everyone, and other dogs if they are friendly. But she is still a puppy and likes to jump up and greet people. I’m working on it, but if you don’t like dogs this place may not be the suitable for you at this time. However, she does stay in the house at night so she will not disrupt your evening or nIght. Home Town: Abingdon va Favorite Boondocking Locations: Anywhere west of the Mississippi. And points in between. Skills or Expertise to Share: This is a farm, so I have to be fairly handy.

What a great place to stay! yes a few sharp turns and steep hills, but worth the ride and no problem in a 26 ft class A. Very much appreciated gthe 15amp as was cord that night and needed our furnace a lot. Thanks YOU!!!!

Thank you Jim for your exceptional hospitality and kindness. Annie is a sweet addition to the home for sure! Saw many deer and gorgeous sunsets. Biked the Creeper Trail twice, easy access from his home. Special thanks to Jim for saving the day by removing the log/fallen tree in the road!

We loved our stay at the Hawks Ridge Farm. Jim our host was wonderful and we enjoyed our conversation on the evening we arrived. The place is beautiful and the parking spot was level. We highly recommend you stay if passing through. We hope to stay again sometime.
