Paved parking lot. Quiet 1 acre lot near a canoe kayak launch.
Tavern nearby has great food and friendly atmosphere. Pizza, burgers and Friday fish fry. Rural location can accommodate any size RV. Grass field could be soft when we've had a lot of rain.
Quiet activities ok.
A campfire pit is available by request. Kayak, biking and hiking near by.
Pull through limited by the length of the rig and your skill. We recommend parking on the street or go around the block to get a look at your options. 28 foot tt can be y turned at the front or back of the lot. Some longer rigs may want to back in. County highway access. Paved parking lot at Bass Creek Cafe. Tenant vehicles may be present. Parking on the grass subject to recent weather.
In the cafe/ apartment parking lot. Cafe closed, residence only.
Usually available. Make contact by phone when arriving.
6 miles off of Interstate 90 between Beloit and Janesville. Great bike trail, apple orchard and city parks nearby. Mocha Moments Coffee and Kwik Trip convenience store a few miles away. Bar and grill with good food 100 yard walk.
BCNest-ers are wonderful hosts. The parking area is paved and roomy enough to easily pull in and manipulate our travel trailer. They had a fire going in the fire pit, we stood around and talked about their town, camping, travel experiences, and how convenient Boondockers Welcome is for the travelling guest. We highly recommend their location, and hope to visit them again next time we are in the area.
You know right away when it is gonna be a great boondock. There was an anniversary event occurring right across the street, but I got camper in and set up on the one 30A with no issues. Then getting an invite for food at said party before some time at the firepit put me in a good frame of mind.
Location is near a county road, but not a super busy route by any means. Quick (6-7 mile) access by bicycle to Janesville by very level trail. I saw plenty of ebikes cruising on the trail. Some ribs, potato salad, and sweetcorn when I returned from my bike travel were unexpected but delicious.
I wish I could have stayed longer and would not hesitate to stay again.
Excellent 2 night stop. Wendy and Dave incredibly welcoming. Found us a lock washer for our wobbly bike rack, gave us sweet corn, hosted coffee on their beautiful deck. Even had a campfire our last night. Highly recommend!
Our hosts were delightful. They invited us to join them at the fish fry next door for the evening and invited us to use their porch for morning coffee. Nice quiet location and they offered 30 amp service for us to use.
Wonderful stay in nice quiet area with great hosts. We were offered electric hookup, good conversation, and even shelter if needed due to tornado watch overnight, luckily the storm wasn't as bad as predicted. In the morning there was even coffee on the porch! Doesn't get much better than that.
Our first boondocking experience. It was near Janesville Wisconsin. The Host went way out of his way to make our stay welcomed. The weld on our sway bar broke. The host messaged us to let us know where a RV place was so possibly we could get it repaired in the morning. He messaged again about a local welder and possibly he could do the repair. He called him and took me to the shop and got it repaired that night! Thank you again and making our first experience a good one!
We had an absolutely awesome time with our hosts. We enjoyed our stay in conversation. We definitely would like to stay again
This was our first night as Boondockers, and we weren't quite sure what to expect. Our hosts were very welcoming and kind, putting us at ease right away. Lovely property with plenty of space to set up our pop-up camper. And plenty of space for our two kids to play. Would certainly request to stay again if we drive back through.
Our host was very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely stay there again.
What wonderful hosts! So welcoming, kind and helpful. A real joy!
Our first time at a Boondockers situation. They made it easy for us by having an extension for our electrical. Nice big grassy area for our dogs.
We have a 39ft 5th wheel and a tow vehicle and had plenty of room to park in the lot. Our kids enjoyed the field next to the space to run around. It’s a bummer the cafe wasn’t open due to covid, but hopefully next time. We didn’t have the opportunity to meet the owners or stay long, but this was exactly what we need for a stopover to rest.
Hosts were very accommodating, offered electric and water, had plenty of room, and were very friendly. We enjoyed meeting the hosts and visiting with them!
Great lot with electric hookup. Other boondockers had an amazing telescope that they shared. Easy to pull in. Hosts super welcoming and kind. Loved staying here.
Wildwood was very accommodating for my every need. Excellent host!! Asphalt parking lot for a now-closed business was nearly perfectly level. Water was very close by. One note -- only one way in and out of the parking lot means you'll have to back out or 3-point turn around inside a 45' wide space; only a problem for bigger rigs or if you have a towed (just drop it?).
Wildwood was a friendly host and we enjoyed our stay. There is access to a creek where canoes and kayaks can be launched. The site was level with access to electricity and shade. I enjoyed talking with Wildwood and found out we had many common interests. We were offered coffee and pie the morning that we departed which was an unexpected and delicious surprise.
What an easy spot to park in, dead level while hooked up. Nice folks with lots of advice about the area. 30 amp hookup, bar nearby
Really nice folks! The 30A outlet isn't close to the parking area but he has a very long (and probably very expensive) extension cord that works perfectly. Have 30 - 50 feet of water hose on hand to make that hookup easy. Lots of open space to walk your dogs. We had lunch with our hosts a nice little "hole in the wall" cafe about a 1 minute walk away. Will call them again if we pass that way.
I discovered a nice trail within a block or so of the site, picked wild raspberries, and made a small pie. Communication with the host was good. We were able to access onsite WiFi. Although the cafe was closed, we enjoyed sitting on a covered porch to read.
Hubby and I were just looking for a quiet night away just to get out of the house since we have been sheltered in place for 2 months. Dave's property was very pretty and VERY quiet. Felt safe and cozy! We will return when the cafe can re-open for business.
We stayed one night when passing through. They stopped what they were doing when we arrived and went out of their way to help us set up. Nice to have 30 amp available and we were able to fill our water tank too. Nice big level parking lot. Restaurant was closed since we were there Monday but would highly recommend eating there if you can come on a day it’s open.
Spent a nice night and visit with Wildwood during a return trip. Would have liked to had breakfast at their cute cafe, but we happened to be there on a day they weren't open, will correct that on the next time through.
Welcomed us warmly, Host left early the next day. We didn’t get a chance to thank them in the morning, but we sure did like the warm greeting. Would love to stop by next spring to take them to dinner.
The hosts were gracious. Very nice and quiet place to stay. Bonus-they own a quaint cafe in front with delicious breakfast!
We highly recommend!
We loved our two day stay with Wildwood! Such a wonderful, welcoming couple. Very friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend, and would stay there again in a heartbeat!
