Welcome to our boondocking campsites listing. We have 8 secluded campsites only 17 minutes from Interstate 95 and Fayetteville. Our campsites are spacious, peaceful, and pine-shaded and can handle any size rig. Sites 1, 2, 3, 6, 10, 12, and 14 are no longer available on this platform. Sites 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, and 15 are boondocking with water only. They are available to Boondockers Welcome guests. There are two short hiking trails on-site. Cedar Creek Fish Farm with catfish fishing is 2 mins away. The Cape Fear River Boat Landing (fishing, canoeing, kayaking) is 7 mins away. For more details find us on Facebook at “Cedar Creek Campground at Elease”. Suggested Local Attractions: Downtown Fayetteville is not run down like many American downtown areas. It has many shops, Art House movie theater with wine bar, Botanical Gardens, Historic Market House, Regional Theater, Airborn and Special Ops Museum, antique shops, and the Farmers Market is located at the old train depot museum parking lot. It is open in the morning on Tues, Thurs, and Sat. There is also Lu Mill Vineyard that makes wine from the unique Muskadine and Scuppernone grapes grown in this region. Lastly, if you can handle a 90 minute drive after you trip, take advantage of the nearby beaches.

House Rules

Please try to arrive before nightfall. There are no street lights and it is very dark after nightfall. Our house is not open to guests. Please be respectful of noise after 9 pm. Our guests are here for a quiet and peaceful experience. We have a “donation” box on outside of the bathroom. The funds are used to purchase gravel for the driveway, campsite landscaping, site repairs, and water/sewer/trash disposal and bathroom supplies. Pets must be leashed at all times for safety and liability reasons. There are 2 short trails, one behind the garden (blue blazed) which passes a pond then leads to the driveway entrance, crosses the driveway, and continues on weaving through the pine forest, around another pond and back to the driveway. It is one half mile long. The entrance is behind the orchard. The other trail (red blazed) is only around the pond. It is one quarter mile long. The entrance is on the south side of the driveway, before the turn. You can see the red trail markers from the driveway. Ask owner for location of pond trail entrance if you have a hard time locating it.

Teacher and partner living on 17 acres in the middle of nowhere! Details: I am a recently early retired Science Teacher and my partner (now Husband) is in Pediatrics. We bought the 17 acres 10 years ago and we decided to clear and create 15 campsites for boondockers. We have a Travel Trailer RV ourselves and enjoy camping. We also enjoy meeting new people when they come to visit and stay with us. Home Town: We really dont have a hometown. We live in a hamlet called Elease, NC. It's not even on most maps. We have a couple of neighbors that live 1/4 mile away. We are surrounded by state forest. We are originally from the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. We moved here for work many years ago. Favorite Boondocking Locations: Only went boondocking once in Iowa. Felt like boondocking when we went to the National Parks out west and Acadia. None had hookups. Planning a long trip in 2022. Will know more about how we feel about boondocking after that trip. Skills or Expertise to Share: Jack of all trades, Master of none. Built our house except for the black water plumbing, Sheetrock (will never do that again), and high voltage electrical, roofing and siding. We have owned everything from a Popup to a Class A. We have been camping for 25 years. If you have any questions, we will do our best to help out.
