MC & I had a very memorable fun stay for so many reasons. N & R are very attentive, helpful, accommodating, respectful and generous. Their thoughtfulness is a gift we will always treasure. We are forever grateful that we had the pleasure to meet you and your family. We can not wait to meetup with you in Jekyll Island! We hope to see you soon. All the best.
We had a beautiful stay at this spot. The host were so friendly and generous. We plugged in for the night, got to enjoy our dinner in their patio with a view of the lake and birdwatching. The next day they took us for a pontoon boat ride and toured the lake. A wonderful experience!
Robbie & Nancy are such wonderful people, they brought us on their Pontoon to visit the lake & once again to view the sunset 🌇
They made sure we were comfortable. Very nice people, thank you very much.
A beautiful lakeside home and a quiet location. Our generous hosts were welcoming and introduced us to the area with a tour around the lake on their pontoon boat. Saw a bald eagle at one of the islands. Super time!
It was a wonderful stay! We went there to acces Plaisance park (SEPAQ) wich is 30 min from there place! It was a very very hot day so we decided to stay at there place and enjoy swimming in the beautiful lake and kayaking ( the let us use there kayaks). In the evening we went on the lake, on there ponton to see the sunset, fishing and explaining the environment. It was an experience that we recommend! Lovely persons!
Very welcoming couple. Nice views on the lake. Close by natural reserve. As a nice surprise, I had a pontoon tour in the sunset. I might go back as I enjoyed my stay so much.
A wonderful first boondocking experience. Our hosts were exceptionally gracious, hospitable and helpful. We were comfortable with every aspect of our stay. Thank you for helping to make our experience a happy and memorable one. All the best,
These hosts are so generous! We were spoiled! We were treated more as friends than guests. They were flexible to accommodate our schedule. The place is very quiet on a large lake where a large part of it is a reserve. We had a tour of the lake with a nice sunset and we could see an eagle and loons. They gave us useful tips about where to kayak. It was very calm kayaking on the 2 rivers with the ducks, loons and herons. We also saw a dear. What a wonderful time we spent at their place.
The snow was very late melting. Had been expecting crocus and such. Very friendly couple. I was made to feel at home. Got to use their shower and share meals. If I’m lucky I would stay there again.
What can I say!! These hosts are just the most generous people I've ever met and the location was also perfect....if you can put up with a quiet bush setting with wonderful lake views. We were instantly invited into their home and made to feel welcome. A pontoon boat trip around the lake with a beer/wine was hard to take but someone has to do it. Finishing off the day with a BBQ ("Rob's Ribs" are the best), more beer/wine and lots of laughs on the back veranda with some of the locals made this boondock one of the special memories of our trip.
Robbie states he can fix most things but no matter how many times he cuts your hair it will still end up short :)
We were treated more as friends than guests and we now consider them as friends who we will endeavour to meet again.
these are great people, you have to meet. They have a beautiful place, they are totally friendly and accommodating. Hope they can visit us in Saskatchewan.
We stayed at Robbie & Nancy's place for a night during the last leg of our three week journey to the east coast. It turned out to be one of the most memorable highlights of our vacation. Their place is located in a forested location on a large lake that is mostly uninhabited. They have a beautiful house that they opened up for us to make us feel right at home.
The couple are very friendly, inviting, and accommodating. Even before arriving, Robbie was giving us proper directions to their place and making sure that we came from the right direction - (note: approach from the south - not the north...).
We spent the evening being spoiled with a boat ride on their lake. Highlights included a bald eagle, loon, and an amazing sunset. Good times were spent on their deck chatting and stargazing.
Robbie and Nancy are fantastic hosts. Should you be traveling anywhere near the area, you should definitely get in touch with them. Thank you for the beautiful experience - you are an exemplary credit to Boondockers Welcome.
Stayed June 2/14 and found this remote location in the forest with a lakeside property to be a terrific spot to boondock. Rob & Nancy were terrific hosts and provided more than we expected. We even went for a turn around the lake in their pontoon boat. In case you might worry about there being a language problem with French - no worry - their English is flawless. Would recommend this location highly or these folks as guests. THANKS AGAIN!
