I wish I could welcome all but my driveway will not accommodate a very large rig. Over 28-30 feet might be pushing it. I can offer you electricity up to 50 amps, water for your tank, & my wi-fi password. And by all means-bring pets; we love 'em. Your dogs are more than welcome to run free in my large fenced yard.
Special Requests: Please pack out all trash and if you are running big power users on my electricity such as a/c, I would be thankful for a small sum to help pay for the usage. My wifi is on a private network so it will be slow; you probably won't be able to stream on it. You can fill your water tank all you want but please don't hook up to the spigot; it's the only one I have to use for watering my plants in the front.
Please leave the area just as you found it (leave no trash etc)
Feel free to ask me any questions or tap me for my help
If your generator is loud, then please don't run it between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. If it is a quiet generator, then no problem running it at night.
Children and pets WELCOME!
ENJOY YOUR STAY
Regular paved roads. Straight shot, no obstacles. Driveway onto property is a long gravel drive with a circle at the end. The circle is fairly tight so I don't think larger RVs would be a good fit for my location.
There is a circle at the end of the driveway where the tow vehicle could be parked; just please don't block my car in the carport. : )
About 25 miles north of this location is the Walnut Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant, which has free dumping although one reviewer of the plant said it was absolutely disgusting. I'v never tried it so I can't say.
Our time on the prairie with Lisa was unexpected magic. First off she was flexible with our wonky schedule when we ended up arriving a day or two later than planned. Then we had dinner with her one night and told her about our situation, that we needed to stop in Austin longer so we could get some work/school done. She graciously offered that we stay as long as we needed. In return we offered to help her with some landscaping. Lisa openly communicated to us anytime other boondockers/guests were coming, when she needed anything from us, or just to say hello. We couldn't be more grateful for spending time on Lisa's property. She's a gem!
We stayed with Lisa on February 9&10, originally planning to stay only two nights, we stayed for a third! Beautiful property, level spot, hookup for power and lots of room for our dogs to have a play in her front yard. We explored Austin from here, which made it convenient to unhook our camper and just go. Also, if you stay with Lisa, don't miss Nate's in Buda - really awesome coffee shop / pub, grab a pint or a latte, and indulged in free wifi!
We would definitely stay again, we loved meeting Lisa and Batman!
Very friendly hostess. Easy access to parking. We were able to help her with some of her rev problems and she was most grateful. Would surely stay at her place again
I cannot say enough about Lisa and her property!! She was such a gracious host, one of the most gracious I have met on BW. I am so thankful to have met her and it was a pleasure getting to know her. She is so kind and easy to get along with. At the time I arrived at her location I was feeling under the weather and I couldn't have imagined a better spot to relax and get over my cold. Once I was feeling better she was kind enough to offer to take me out for a night on the town and we had FUN! A memory I will treasure for a long time. We had thoughtful conversations and she has a great fenced yard that she let my dog run around in.
I am thankful to have made a great friend and wish her nothing but the best in her future van journeys. My pup and I miss her!
Enjoy this peaceful location among the cows! ;)
Oclisa treated me like family. She was so kind and offered a lot. Her home site is so peaceful and so close to Austin. I really enjoyed my short stay with her and her cute dog Batman. Thank you so much!
Lisa was a very warm and welcoming host, offering water, electric, and wifi. She even went above and beyond offering us her fenced in yard for our dog to play in, a hot shower, and even said we could do laundry if we wanted! What a kind and generous host! We also got a tour of her new van and found out she wants to do some really cool things to it. It was a pleasure getting to know her!
