Quiet location with nice mountain view. We are off the Route 4 "Bypass" between Castleton and Rutland. We have a firepit area for your use to enjoy the nature surroundings. We are about 20 miles from Killington Ski area and about 10 minutes from Rutland, VT. It is better to back into our driveway. We have room for any size RV.

The driveway has a slight slope from the house down towards the road. You can use leveling blocks or levelers that will not impact the asphalt driveway.

Currently, I have 30 amp service available. If I am on site, I have water available for hookup.

Rutland, VT has a free dump station available at the Green Hill Lane Waste Water Treatment Facility - pull around back through the gates and there is an RV dump location available.

House Rules

common courtesy is the rule.

Access Road Conditions

The road is gravel for about 1 mile. It is on a hill with a slight elevation climb [Less than 600 feet]. There are several ways to approach, but the best is from exit 6 off Route 4. Be aware that if you happen to come the back way from Rutland, the there is a train bridge on Barret Hill Rd that is 10 feet. [There are other ways to get here without going under the bridge!]

Tow Vehicle Parking Details

in driveway or off to the side of the RV.

We travel from time to time, so please contact us to see if the driveway is available!

Just Simply the Best Host!

This Boondocker's property was located in the quiet, beautiful countryside of Vermont which was only surpassed by the hospitality of our wonderful host! We arrived in the early evening to find a perfectly level spot to stay for the night. We were greeted by our host who had prepared a roaring New England campfire in his hillside fire-pit behind his home. This host was a quite interesting person who was also most kind & accommodating for us first-time Boondockers! We were even able to add an extra night to our stay with very short notice. I would highly recommend "Babar" to any Vermont traveler as the perfect host. I am most certain he would also be a delightful guest should he choose to Boondock himself! I hope we get another chance to visit "Babar" in the future!

Fantastic hosts!

I cannot say enough good things about these guys! I just loved my time with them and my stay at their beautiful property. They are lovely and considerate people and very easy to talk to. Really enjoyed our nights spent by the fire chatting. I am so happy to have made 2 friends out of the deal! Highly recommend these hosts and location!

Quiet night's stay

This was my first stay at a Boondocker site and it was more than one could hope as I was immediately hooked up to electricity! Friendly people and a nice quiet spot to spend the night. Thanks.

Beautiful location, great hospitality

Stayed here last night, greeted by 2 friendly faces and great hospitality. Spent some time chatting by the fire pit. From the initial inquiry about availability and throughout our brief stay we had a great experience. Highly recommend!

Amazingly Generous

We needed a place to stay on our way to Ironman and this incredibly kind couple was more accommodating than most campgrounds! They met us outside and welcomed our family like we were old friends. And speaking of old friends, it would be safe to say that we have new friends! After a wonderful campfire, a peaceful nights sleep, and sharing walk throughs of our rigs, we said goodbye and headed to Ironman. Many thanks to our fellow RV'ers and adventurers.
