Have you stayed at this host location?
Leave a reference for this hostI have 10 acre parcel of land near sel.a NC. The land is raw but flat and only 5 minutes from i95 I have utilities to offer and Generators are welcome and pets are also welcome. The property is 8 acres wooded 2 acres cleared
Leave it like you found it.
15 foot wide gravel drive 200 feet long to the cleared site. We have 50 amp electric available...
I am rarely at the site for arrival. It is best to approach from the west with the drive on the left if you have a larger rig or need. Wide radius to turn.
30 minutes from Raleigh NC, 10 minutes to premium outlet mall.
Our time at Rodman's location was just great. We had absolutely everything we needed.
I wish I had been informed about the best way to enter this property ahead of time. So let me help any other person that will be staying here.
If u are entering from the east and would be entering the construction entrance on the right, which is the next driveway after the house entrance with the address on it, go past it and make a right turn on to the next street. Go down abt a 1/2 mile and make ur first left on the next street and go for another 1/2 mile then make a left on highway 96 & turn left into the driveway!!
I ended up not being able to make the turn into the driveway in my 37’ Motorhome and towing a car so go stuck in the road holding up traffic for abt 7 mins til I could detach my car and move it and then get the motorhome in.
Other than that issue-it was peaceful and met another nice coupke staying there.
Thanks for the stay,
Lesley
Enjoyed the stay! Thanks Rodman2000! If staying with a large rig, then you might have to go past the entrance and come back and enter from the West side (easy turn around).
We unfortunately got stuck in the field but host was very nice about it.
Would stay again.
When I called the day of arrival to tell Rodman that I would be late, he told me he would be leaving before I arrived. He took the time to make sure I knew how to get into the narrow angled driveway and where the best spot was to park. He was using the 50 amp plug, but let me know there was a 20 amp plug available.
Very quite, mostly level. Ground was a little soft due to all the recent rain, but I had no problems.
This place was really serene and beautiful. There was a farm across the street and the views coming down the road were breathtaking. My host was easy to communicate with and told me where the hookup was. Super friendly and easy going. If you want to be in nature this is a great spot.
Mr. Rodney was not available to meet with but he stayed in perfect contact by phone helped us with pictures and guidance even helped this newbie with Generator problems over the phone. Was very pleasant and helpful. We'll be back if he is agreeable.
Lot is over grown, and road is overgrown. Road going in has no sign. Nowhere to turn around so you have to drive along 3-4 mile sandy rutted road.
