We are located in the West part of Montreal island, near the Pierre Elliott Trudeau airport, in Dorval City. This is about 20-30 minutes drive from downtown Montreal. Public transporation is also a viable option. We live in a quiet residential area, with little traffic. Please note that we do hear the planes from a distance, but nothing drastic. Water hookup and 15 amp electricity is available. There is a free dump station within 5 miles from our location. As an FYI, there are a couple of safe municipal parking lots in my area where longer rigs can dry camp, up to 24 hours (when a move to the other side of lot is warrented, for longer stays). Suggested Local Attractions:Montreal is a wonderful city, with a great "joie de vivre", alot of culture and history... where you can easily find great French food as well as from many other ethnicities. We have many excellent festivals (Jazz, Just for Laughs, Francopholies, etc) and sporting events (such as formula 1 racing). It is a very safe city where English is widely spoken but French the main language. It also is a LGBT firendly city.

I spend two nights at this nice place. Mark and the hole family where very helpful to this stranger from Europe!! Mark could give me dufferent tipps to the city of Montreal, and we had a interesting long talk one morning about very different things like - traveling- Montreal - weather - camping - work - etc. etc. Thank you !

During our camping travel around the country, L-M-K-M was very interesting not to mention a very beautiful, quiet and peaceful place to stop after many hours of traveling. Wonderful hospitality we enjoyed conversing with the friendly and bilingual host.

At this time of year when all the campgrounds are closed being able to stay close to bus and Metro use to visit Montreal was such a huge relief! Biking close by as well as a few restaurants but we spent most of our time in Montreal. Marc was great with communication and very helpful with local knowledge. We had him over for a gin & tonic to visit. Other comments regarding a small shared driveway are accurate but totally workable with our F550 and Arctic Fox camper with slide out (we kept slide in if we were in the city for the day) and Jeep tow. The whole thing was so easy and no stress and had a great time.

Great stay, Marc is most welcoming and helpful. Explained the mass transportation system so I could go to the bus stop, transfer to the subway, and get to downtown Montreal without having to take my van (trip is about 1hr+ each way, depending on wait times and how fast you walk to the bus stop). Recommended a restaurant that’s near the bus stop for Montreal’s famous smoked meats, very tasty. Nice quiet neighborhood for walking my dog, proximity near airport not a problem as it’s chilly and all the windows closed. Would highly recommend, and definitely stay again.
