5 acre property 2 miles outside of downtown Boerne, Texas. We have a level parking area in front driveway, and you are welcome to camp further away from the house in the front of our property which overlooks the town of Boerne. We do have a property gate which will prevent large RVs from access.
We have one Vizsla - friendly dog, but too crazy when other pets visit.
Please request before running a generator.
Access to our property requires a fairly narrow driveway climb up a paved driveway. Sharp turns may be required depending on where you want to park. We have a Sprinter Van.. no issues with that vehicle accessing multiple spots.. but we definitely cannot accommodate large RVs.
You will likely need to unhitch before you enter our front gate.
Send us a message to see if we have a spot to fit your timeline.
Boerne is a great place to jump off from to visit San Antonio or the Texas Hill Country! Boerne itself is pretty great too.. lots of great restaurants and local shops.
I had a peaceful time at vanowht/Texas Hill Country. I was parked up on a hill overlooking a beautiful area.
One of the hosts was away during my time there, but I was able to visit with the husband of the two. He was very helpful and we had a nice chat.
Thank you for your kindness and conversation!
vanowht were super helpful and gave me lots of space - and suggestions - while I parked on their hilltop. Morning greetings by Regina the dog were a highlight. Great runs nearby, coffee, bakeries and beer. Quick to San Antonio, a trip I did for yoga twice and the outdoor markets once. Very gracious hosts; hope they visit me in VT.
Great location and friendly, gracious hosts. We highly recommend and will be back. Thanks so much!
We arrived in this beautiful scenery and where heartwarmingly welcomed. We had a great evening sitting together and chatting about travelling. We would definitely come back.
We loved staying with Vanowht!! We initially were only going to stay a few days then later extended it for the full 5 days. Their hospitality was amazing and we had a great time visiting many times during the visit. Reggie, their dog, came to visit us every morning and our daughter loved playing with Reggie.
Funny, I am writing this review a little later than I should have so I can include the fact that Vanowht came to visit us again while we are in Austin.
Thank you Rob & Liesl for a lovely, quiet, relaxing place to spend the night. You’ve got a beautiful location and view. Enjoy your trip... and hope you come to Oregon some day!
The place is peaceful and beautiful. Liesl and Rob are welcoming and very friendly. We shared two evenings talking about travel and vanning. They gave us many tips and advice about the Hill Country and Texas in general. If you have the possibility to spend a night or more, you will have a great time.
Thanks Liesl and Rob.
Hope to see you in Québec

We had a wonderful stay at vanowht. They had several options of where we could park with sweeping views of the hill country. They let us use the outdoor shower which was amazing!! We would definitely stay again!
Great location near I-10, property is beautiful setting. Lovely couple, very welcoming. I would stick to their recommendation units no longer than 25'.
Thanks so much for a wonderful stay! So friendly, accommodating and helpful .. very much appreciated. Love the outdoor shower! Thank you.
Great folks, a wonderful place to stay, and easy to arrange for a stay. As conveyed on the website, I recommend a visiting rig no larger than 25 feet in length and no tow vehicle.
Thank you so much to our hosts!!! Hope you will stop by when travelling near our home base.
We have stayed for a couple of nights with the hosts Vaowht. What a super friendly and nice couple to Boondock. You get so mutch more than just general Boondocking, what about an outdoor hot water shower!? And so much more little (big) things was offered in and around their house. Nice levelled concrete space to park your Van or if you like you can park somewhere on there spacious greenery. Just go and explore!!!
Thanks Vanowht and don’t forget the sweet Vizla Regina.
