Johndeere is a credit to the Boondocking experience. They were very welcoming and helpful with getting "settled in" for our stay. We really appreciated the quiet venue after a long day on the road! Thanks so much, B. and L., for being such welcoming hosts!
We had a wonderful stay at JohnDeere's Place. Everyone we met was kind and helpful. They even went with us to town to the local RV store and helped translate our needs to the locals. We were also able to buy some fresh beef cut from their own herds. If our travels brought us this way again, we would definitely request another stay. Truly amazing folks!
Host was very helpful and generous. We were always able to reach him on his cell. He welcomed us and helped us set up our trailer. Private and peaceful setting on a farm. There was a designated spacious area where we were told we could let our doggies run and play, which was much appreciated. There is a Tim Hortons, McDonalds and a few gas stations about 5 minutes away. We would highly recommend :)
"Mr & Mrs Johndeere" have a beautiful, quiet and bucolic farm site located just outside of Montreal. Mr Johndeere met us as we pulled-in (43’ ClassA DP) and we were easily leveled and set up in no time at all.
We commuted into Montreal for several visits and a had wonderful time in this beautiful city.
On our last night, we spent a lovely evening with Mr. and Mrs. Johndeere which reaffirmed why we love RVing so much.
We really hope to see the Johndeeres again sometime in our future travels, and we'd love to return the next time we're in Montreal.
Such great people, providing a great experience for the people of BDW without ever using the benefits of BDW them selves yet.
Beautiful farm setting and the hosts couldnt be more down to earth and accommodating.
Cant recommend highly enough and I hope one day you guys get repaid for all your generosity and experience some great hosts yourselves.
Ps. Great laundry facilities 1.4km down the road and open to the public. Take loonies, 2 for wash 2 for dry.
We enjoyed a nice, quiet stay with Johndeere. He graciously offers a level, full hook-up site with 50 amp service. The site is easy to find and large enough to maneuver almost any size rig. Host Brady greeted us upon arrival and made sure we had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Thanks Brady and happy travels!
This was our first Boondockers Welcome and it is going to be hard to top this. John Deere greeted us to an incredible spot backed up to a fenced in area for cows. Our dog (Chewie, a Shiba Inu) was totally enthralled with the cows and a few playful ponies around the corner. She didn’t want to come inside, she was intent just watched all the animals.
The location was spot on level which helped us as we remained hitched up and didn’t have a lot of leeway front to back for leveling.
The site is behind a barn and far from a road. We ran out fantastic fans with our windows open and never heard any road noise.
Hope to stay again some day.
This is a very nice family farm. Really nice people!!. Very quite and peaceful. Beautiful black horses. We loved our stay. Thanks
Staying here is like having your personal RV park. He helped us back in, provided full hook ups (50 amp), and checked in to make sure we didn't need anything. Terrific! Note that there is a turnoff just before the road of the address that you should take. It goes by a shop and behind the house.
Valet boondocking?! Immediately upon arrival at this easily found location, Johndeere offered to situate our truck/trailer combo where he knew no obstscles might be lurking. While I was doing myself a grievous physical mischief out of his way [trying to change footware for rain showers], he had our units parked and leveled and was proceeding to use his equipment to connect our travel trailer to water, sewer and 30 amp power! As though a fallen warrior on the gridiron he helped me [and I SORELY needed help] into his trailer to lay on the bed to recover while he completed his work. There was no hesitation next a.m. when we asked permission to stay another night to ensure my injury wasn't worsening. Being no worse and very stubborn next morn, we prepared to move on towards our next rendezvous. Again the valet appeared, and our rig was efficiently turned towards the exit. With my discomfort and Johndeere's personal commitments we had no get-to-know time, but if they are accepting guests in 2019 we will be contacting them about another stay on our annual autumn PEI woolen-mill pilgrimage!

This was our first Boondockers Welcome stay. Our hosts were fantastic, very welcoming and we learned a lot of history of the area. The horses and cows on the farm added to the ambiance. Thank you for opening your home to us!
Set on a farm, you will be welcomed by 2 beautiful horses running to greet you. They are very friendly and love to be pet and brushed. When you park your trailer, which will be nestled in the back, you’ll be greeted by cows grazing in the field...they too come to the fence to see you. You will find full hook ups and Brady even brought us a 50 to 30 amp converter because he has a 50 amps back there. In the morning there was beautiful mist/fog rising up off the fields as the sun rise. Definitely worth the stay and very peaceful! We would stay here again.
Very grateful on a rainy, snowy night to have a quiet place to boondock on the way home to Ottawa. Thank you for being such a welcoming host. Loved waking up to cattle grazing in the field beside me. Highly recommend this great location. Delighted to have power too. Thanks!
