Located on a state hwy 70 miles north of Cheyenne, 70 miles north and east of Laramie. One set up has electricity. Much space is available for multiple sites, no electricity. Vineyard can be seen and accessed. Country setting without a level ground, snakes, deer, skunks, raccoons. I will assume absolutely no liability. Watch your step and observe your surroundings. Perfect for peace and quiet loving people. BBQ only with safety and fire retardant in mind.
Off a major paved state highway. One low hanging electrical wire, east of barn to water house/short distance, that can be brought to attention so I prefer to be present for parking discussion.
Available most of summer and fall, would appreciate a call or email prior.
Sybille Refuge, Guernsey Reservoir/Wagon Wheel Ruts/signature cliffs. Historic Hartville. Ft. Laramie. Glendo Reservoir.
We arrived just before sunset and were greeted with a smile. She let us choose from a few locations on her property and made sure we had everything we needed before heading back into her house. We didn't get to chat for very long and left early the next morning, but Sally was very nice.
Sally was a gracious host(ess) and took the time to take me through her vineyards and tell me about the different grapes. I definitely recommend her as a host.
We stayed with Sally for 1 night on our way through to Jackson. We couldn't have asked for a better spot! Her beautiful vineyard with the beautiful scenery was just what we needed after driving all day. She graciously allowed us water and electric hook up too! There was plenty of room to accommodate our 39' RV and tow car. We enjoyed our brief interactions with Sally and her dogs, before the rain set in. Its the perfect quiet, peaceful overnight spot and we can't thank Sally enough for her graciousness and kindness!
What a beautiful place! It was such a relief to stay here for one night after a hectic couple of days. The grounds are spacious, her dogs are friendly and Sally was very welcoming. I highly recommend!
We stayed here the night before the big eclipse as it was just a few miles from total darkness. Sally had several other campers on the site that were also there for the eclipse. She was very nice and gracious. As the other campers left for the chaos of going deeper into the state and joining the mass of people we stayed at her place. Sally and our family traveled north five miles to total darkness and enjoyed the eclipse together. If you are ever traveling through Wheatland, drop her a message. She responds within 24 hours.
We spent two nights with Sally although we had planned for only one - her locale has great view of the mountains - there are so many things to see in the area, and her smile is contagious. We would enjoy staying here again with Sally if our path leads us to this part of Wyoming.
This was our first boondocking experience and it couldn't have gone better! We were warmly greeted with a couple glasses of wine made from her grapes and stunning views of the Rocky Mountains! We intended to only stay 1 night but Sally allowed us to stay 3 because there's so much to see near her! She and her dogs are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you Sally!!!
We stayed two nights here so we could travel over to South Dakota to see Mt. Rushmore. Sally was a gracious host and even was kind enough to put up with a late arrival. It was so nice to have access to water and power and even a composting toilet. Very kind and hospitable.
We were Sally's first Boondockers guests! Quiet, peaceful spot to spend the night. Nice views, cheerful host! We would definitely stop by again!
