Located on a state hwy 70 miles north of Cheyenne, 70 miles north and east of Laramie. One set up has electricity. Much space is available for multiple sites, no electricity. Vineyard can be seen and accessed. Country setting without a level ground, snakes, deer, skunks, raccoons. I will assume absolutely no liability. Watch your step and observe your surroundings. Perfect for peace and quiet loving people. BBQ only with safety and fire retardant in mind.
Off a major paved state highway. One low hanging electrical wire, east of barn to water house/short distance, that can be brought to attention so I prefer to be present for parking discussion.
Available most of summer and fall, would appreciate a call or email prior.
Sybille Refuge, Guernsey Reservoir/Wagon Wheel Ruts/signature cliffs. Historic Hartville. Ft. Laramie. Glendo Reservoir.
Host Sally made me feel welcome pointed out everything even the dogs were friendly well recommended
We had a long day of traveling and our host helped us get in and get settled even though it was a very chilly evening.
The property was peaceful and there was a place for our dogs to run so that was especially appreciated.
An oasis in Wyoming...great hosts, great place!
My daughter and I stayed at Sally’s while we went antelope hunting, and quickly felt like we were with family. Sally was super sweet to my kiddo, and the two quickly became friends. We can’t wait to come back and visit again!
Easy to find, level spot, and as we know plans change .... a very understanding Host.
We stopped for one night. What a lovely lady Sally is. There were a couple of other boondockers there as well. We all got together in the evening talking and laughing. Next monrning we walked through the vineyard with Sally as she explained about the grapes. We hope to go there one May to help with the vineyard. Would highly recommend staying here if you are in the area.
Sally was super friendly and helpful with us. We had a short stay but she gave us everything that we need for our stay. We highly recommend her place if you pass by!
This is our second visit with Sally; busier this time, full of wonderful people, fabulous time. As always, Sally is a delightful hostess. Definitely hope to come back again.
We enjoyed talking with Sally and her other Bw guests. Wish we had more time to get to know each other but the weather was pretty cold. Her rescue dog jake was so sweet and we enjoyed the most beautiful sunset. Thanks a bunch for the quiet nights stay.
Upon arrival we were greated by Sally and instantly felt the kindness she shares. There were three other couples, their rv’s and pets staying on her quaint vineyard. We all spent an evening getting to know one another and truly enjoyed everyone’s company. We got some hands on experience harvesting the next day, something we have always wanted to do. We would love to stay again if in the area.
This was our first stay with a boondockers host and it was exceptional. Sally is amazing and we were able to have a very enjoyable evening with Sally and another family also boondocking - plenty of space and electricity for both of us. We would highly recommend staying with her if you're in this part of the country!
We really enjoyed our stay at Sally's Vineyard. Although there was another Boondocker on site, we still had privacy. We were able to run our generator and had access to water for our tank. We had a unique view of the wild fires going on nearby. We only stayed a couple of nights, but enjoyed our visits with our host and the other family staying on the property. Would definitely stay again.
We had a wonderful stay at this location. Our host went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and welcome. The fences in yard was so welcomed by us and our dog who ran and played off leash with our host’s dog. Great place and we will definitely return.
Sally was a fantastic host, very cheerful and gracious! Wish we’d had more time to socialize, but we will save that for the next time!
The host was so kind, very helpful. Quiet, spacious location, easy in/out. Beautiful starry night. Fun conversation with Sally and other boondocking guests at dusk in Sally’s barn. We totally enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Sally’s Vineyard!
Our host was very warm and we enjoyed our stay. This is a beautiful part of part of Wyoming, peaceful quite, the mountains are amazing. Our host was very helpful with things to see and places in town.
Wonderful stay with Sally! She was very warm and generous. Spent time talking about her farm, the area, and local history. Where else can you stay at a vineyard in Wyoming?! She let me park inside fenced area with the vines, so my dog could play off leash with her. She generously provided access to power and water.
I will be looking for an excuse to come see her again!
Sally was a super host. She spent a lot of time showing us her vineyard and explaining the watering system which I think we still don’t understand. It was so sad to see the hail damage to her crop. Toured the town of wheatland and saw the fire nearby, a little scary for sure. Her special adopted dog Jake was the best! Highly recommend staying with Sally if your ever in her neck of the woods!
Easy to find, host was very accommodating. Visited local area, Fort Laramie, great dining in Guernsey thanks to host recommendation.Wish we could have stayed longer.
Sally is a fine host. A very warm and good humored person whose company and those of her friends we enjoyed immensely. Not to mention the dogs! We were sorry to leave.
Our stay was wonderful, Sally is a very friendly and hospitable women. Her dogs are nice. We had a wonderful evening with other guests looking for falling meteorites. We hope that the harvest off the grapes will be good after the hail from the first off August.
We stayed in Sally’s lovely vineyard, with the Laramie Range as a backdrop. Sally’s is in the country, but close enough to town to easily get whatever we need within a reasonable distance. Sally was welcoming, gracious, and accommodating. We helped her in the vineyard, and had a terrific visit. We hope to be back for harvest.
We’ll miss Sally & her pups. We couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay. Thank you, Sally!
We were welcomed in like family at Ms. Sally's home. She has been generous, kind, and oh so very friendly! Her two dogs are also pure joys! We have nothing but the highest praises for our experience!!
Thank you to our host Sally we had a good time at her place Sally and her pets were great wonderful to see the orchard our pets enjoyed a place to run hope to see you in the future.
We stayed at Sally's for a few days for a very special event: the 2017 Total Solar Eclipse in August! Sally was an amazing and delightful hostess! In our friend/relative group of 17 were people from Massachusetts, Wisconsin, Colorado, and Montana. Sally made us feel at home! Thanks, Sally, hope to see you again! (And sorry I didn't post this sooner!)
We arrived just before sunset and were greeted with a smile. She let us choose from a few locations on her property and made sure we had everything we needed before heading back into her house. We didn't get to chat for very long and left early the next morning, but Sally was very nice.
Sally was a gracious host(ess) and took the time to take me through her vineyards and tell me about the different grapes. I definitely recommend her as a host.
We stayed with Sally for 1 night on our way through to Jackson. We couldn't have asked for a better spot! Her beautiful vineyard with the beautiful scenery was just what we needed after driving all day. She graciously allowed us water and electric hook up too! There was plenty of room to accommodate our 39' RV and tow car.
We enjoyed our brief interactions with Sally and her dogs, before the rain set in. Its the perfect quiet, peaceful overnight spot and we can't thank Sally enough for her graciousness and kindness!
What a beautiful place! It was such a relief to stay here for one night after a hectic couple of days. The grounds are spacious, her dogs are friendly and Sally was very welcoming. I highly recommend!
We stayed here the night before the big eclipse as it was just a few miles from total darkness. Sally had several other campers on the site that were also there for the eclipse. She was very nice and gracious. As the other campers left for the chaos of going deeper into the state and joining the mass of people we stayed at her place. Sally and our family traveled north five miles to total darkness and enjoyed the eclipse together. If you are ever traveling through Wheatland, drop her a message. She responds within 24 hours.
We spent two nights with Sally although we had planned for only one - her locale has great view of the mountains - there are so many things to see in the area, and her smile is contagious. We would enjoy staying here again with Sally if our path leads us to this part of Wyoming.
This was our first boondocking experience and it couldn't have gone better! We were warmly greeted with a couple glasses of wine made from her grapes and stunning views of the Rocky Mountains! We intended to only stay 1 night but Sally allowed us to stay 3 because there's so much to see near her! She and her dogs are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you Sally!!!
We stayed two nights here so we could travel over to South Dakota to see Mt. Rushmore. Sally was a gracious host and even was kind enough to put up with a late arrival. It was so nice to have access to water and power and even a composting toilet. Very kind and hospitable.
We were Sally's first Boondockers guests! Quiet, peaceful spot to spend the night. Nice views, cheerful host! We would definitely stop by again!
