Huntsville, Algonquin Park, Arrowhead Park,
A warm welcome awaits you at this host's beautiful, quiet rural setting in the heart of Muskoka. Coffee and treats were shared as well as some handy man work and east coast travel recommendations. As a newbie rv'er it was perfect in every way. Thank you so much for hosting me. Best wishes on your next adventure!
We stayed with Lakeobay for three nights in May 2017 and we loved staying with this wonderful couple. From the very beginning on we felt so welcomed. She baked a yummy strawberry rhubarb pie and we were invited for coffee and cake. They made us feel so comfortable and we were talking and laughing a lot and found out that he comes from the same region in Germany where we are from and we had so much fun. The second day they took us around to see Huntsville and the lake region and in the evening we had a delicious barbecue with their excellent homemade sausages. She also gave me some of her herbs from the garden and food for our trip – and he helped us out, too: We were telling him that we are thinking of buying a canoe and surprise! surprise! He had a canoe that he doesn’t use anymore and he sold it to us and helped us bringing it up on the roof of our motorhome. Their place is really beautiful with huge trees surrounding a nice garden with lots of space for the motorhome and connection to water and electricity. It was hard for us to leave, because we really loved it there! They are still so young in their minds and they have done so much in their lives and are still hungry for more. They are one of those kinds that are not easy to find those days – we feel very lucky that we had the opportunity to meet and boondock with them. We’ll miss your smiles! See you soon hopefully – safe travels – Diana and Tobi
We stayed with this couple for 1 night and had a wonderful, quiet stay. They showed us their area, invited us to a coffee and talked about traveling and much more. We hope to cross paths again in the future. Thank you!
