Huge gravel pad on a private country road. We can handle 3-4(more if you get close) large rigs if you are in a caravan. We have good well water but you will need a long hose. I have one 50amp outlet but you will need 35ft of cord to find semi-level ground. I have WIFI but it may not reach the pad. You are welcome to enjoy the covered deck around back to use your devices. We have ceiling fans and wicker chairs.
NO AGGRESSIVE DOGS. Our lab doesn't know how to respond to aggressive behavior. She just flops!
Private one lane gravel road with some low hanging trees. We try to keep them trimmed back. The driveway to the pad is a little steep but the pad is so big you can turn multiple rigs around so there is no backing out. I have had my 35 ft class A and a 34 ft 5th wheel and truck and we both swung around easily.
Huge pad for RVs and toads.
We travel when the mood hits us. You will just have to check.
Old Salem Village. Pilot Mountain State park. Hanging Rock State park. Mount Airy has many Andy Griffith and Mayberry attractions. Richard Childress Racing museum. We are in the heartland of the greatest BBQ you will ever eat. Lots of vineyards and antique shops in the area. 90 mins from Charlotte and Raleigh. If you are looking for a nice quiet spot to relax in the country, you found it.
We ended up asking Phil and his wife if we could stay here on a very short notice and they graciously accepted our request within hours. We had to evacuate our campsite due to a hurricane so it meant A LOT to us to be able to have a safe place to stay at “Country Living.” Phil is a darling of a host and he went out of his way to help us get settled in when we arrived. P.s the drive in is really pretty and serene. I highly recommend having a stay here! Thank you SO MUCH! You guys were a blessing.
I stayed here for two nights this week and it was a fantastic experience! They made me feel right at home and made sure I had a great stay. Although it was my first time Boondocking, I am sure you won't come across hosts this great any time soon. I truly hope I get the opportunity in the future to come back to NC or to welcome you in Canada/Holland. Thank you so much, could not have asked for a better place or hosts!
Generous welcoming hosts. More than accommodating. They made us feel at home and we enjoyed sharing travel stories together.
Love these two! Wish I could have stayed longer this time but had to hit the road. Always clear communication, great area to stay. Of course my pups never wanted to leave!
This was my first time using Boondocker‘s it was a wonderful experience and location very quiet
my host was very friendly
not only did he give me a place to stay but he allowed me to use his camper which was air-conditioned on a very humid night
I have can only make positive comments about this gentleman
I highly recommend this location which he is expanding to receive more visitors His Conversation and company was very much appreciated being new to the area as a traveler from New York and it was good to meet another American who has( still is) served his country and is an assets to this community sorry for the slow response been on the road etc
The hospitable "Country Living" duo are a simply a barrel of fun and as thoughtful as can be. And their Lab is a sweetie!
The access is easy, surroundings beautiful, and groceries/supplies are less than five minutes away. We hope to have the pleasure of hosting them in return one day!
Thanks for hosting us, y'all!
How much fun can one person have?! As soon as I pulled up I was guided to a level parking spot. But wait..I was contacted before I even was on my way checking what I needed!
Fun, fun people, great coffee and company! Phil shared his experience with training his dog, helped me so much with my two dogs. They had such a blast running, exploring and visiting their dog Emma
Thanks you two, love to visit again on our way back!
