This is country! Macon is 35 miles away, Dublin is 20 miles. There is a Dollar General store in town.
Dublin has St. Patrick's Festival in March; Macon has Cherry Blossom Festival in March. Ocmulgee National Monument (Indian Mounds) in Macon. See maconga.org for other nearby attractions. Also highly recommend The Air Force museum. See: http://www.museumofaviation.org/visit/planyourvisit/ 26 miles from our place.
If you're ever traveling anywhere close to the Ga Gypsies don't miss the opportunity to stay with them. This was our 2nd stay and will definitely not be our last. Their lovely family home along with their warm personalities make you feel like you're part of their extended family.
Superb! Great experience. Wonderful site and even better host. We were greeted on our way in and escorted out with a smile and helpful hand. Not only did we enjoy the quietness of their spot and conversation but when we forgot our power cord, they drove it to us citing the hassle of coming back for it. The host was safety conscious and very professional. If you are ever in the area we recommend you stop by and see them, we are glad that we did.
We had another visit here, and the hosts were very accommodating as always. Great place!
These folks are very helpful and have a great quiet spot to stay. It’s great that they have 30 and 50 amp hookups and water. We’ll definitely be coming back!
If you like friendly experienced RVers who are also interested in your RV life, Ken and Anne are the hosts for you.
They have the "right stuff:"
Quiet private setting, pleasant landscaping, utilities if you want them, roomy and easy to maneuver to park,
and ready to share cheer & RV tales if you want to.
Excellent hosts, warm people, well-traveled RVers, good conversationalists.
Do visit these folks.
Wow! The Georgia Gypsies really have this host thing down to a science! Most accommodating with a better-than-many-campgrounds type of setup. They also had a little "Info Box" with most helpful printed instructions and a list of things to do in the area and we used it! Super friendly and glad to say we have yet another new friend via Boondockers Welcome.
Ga Gypsies communicated quickly every step of the way, Very helpful and informative. Hw spent the extra time with me to get parked and situated so I could get a satellite signal. He definitely went above and beyond. A good location and a very well stocked information box with local info. GA Gypsies thank you for Hosting us. Rick
This was just an overnight stay on our return trip from Florida. Wish we could have stayed longer, GA Gypsies were very accommodating with a perfectly level spot with power and water. Their property is beautiful with dogwood trees and camellia bushes. We sat on the porch and talked for hours about each others camping experiences and about their family home. We will definitely be coming back and hope to meet some time on our travels. Be sure and stop if you have the opportunity to visit with the Ga Gypsies.
We stayed 2 days here. What a great stay! We would have liked to stay longer, but could not. We will surely come back!
GA Gypsies are super hosts! GA Gypsies greeted us and helped us park. He also had ready some tourist and emergency info. Just that was exceptional! They also have a fantastic set up with a camping spot surrounded by beautiful trees, perfectly level on concrete (isn’t that a treat?) AND protected from rain by a roof so we could sit out and grill even though it was pouring rain! Sitting on the porch after we toured beautiful Macon, we had great conversations about all sorts of things, from travels to snakes. Thank you so much GA Gypsie for memorable good times!
Very gracious host. They provided information on activities to do around the area and a little book to answer all your questions, which is a fabulous idea.Nice level private spot. They had the same make trailer as us so we talked alot about that. We could of had a fire but too cold at night. Very accommodating and we thoroughly enjoyed the wine and desert at night. Thank you GA Gypsies. Travel safe this summer see you later fall we hope
These gypsies are absolutely great folks! We will be disappointed if our paths don't cross again but are confident they will. Warm and wonderful hosts with an awesome set up for boondocking. Highly recommended!
We've met all kinds of gypsies along the way, but Georgia Gypsies are the most wanderful ones yet! It is our hope that they will wander over our way soon for 2.0!
GA Gypsies are two of the nicest people you could meet. They were wonderful hosts and went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. We had so much in common and loved the conversations we had while we were there. We look forward to seeing you guys in the future.
The GA Gypsies are excellent hosts. We enjoyed their company immensely.
This was our very first experience with boondockers and we couldn't have asked for better hosts. There space is great and quiet surrounded by beautiful trees . We felt very safe and comfortable. They were also very helpful with information on a variety of travelling questions and sent us on our way well informed for the next leg of our journey. Many many thanks to them both for making our first boondocking experience such a wonderful memorable stay.
We spent one night at GA Gypsies place. What a nice, quiet location. For someone (Penny) who grew up with a train track right behind the house, this was heaven. They were super psyched that we were "their first," and they made every effort to make us feel at home; which we were. They met us just around the corner, as they weren't sure about us pulling in, towing a car behind a Class A motorhome. NOTE: You can pull into their property, then unhook.
We really enjoyed talking about Nova Scotia, as they were there last June, and we'll be there mid-August. We discussed places we've traveled, and it was enlightening to hear about where they stopped. This was great, but now we have to reroute our trip to include "pig wrestling" along the way!
We highly recommend GA Gypsies. They're close to the interstate if you travel that route, and they're also right off 441. They're gracious hosts, and we look forward to stopping in again when we're in the area.
