Location is directly off Georgia Highway 112. Large motorhomes and campers have not had a problem pulling into our driveway, but you do need to swing wide if you are making a right turn into the driveway.
Plenty of room to park tow vehicle.
Our sites are NOT available during our travel period which is normally April through October/November.
This is country! Macon is 35 miles away, Dublin is 20 miles. There is a Dollar General store in town.
Dublin has St. Patrick's Festival in March; Macon has Cherry Blossom Festival in March. Ocmulgee National Monument (Indian Mounds) in Macon. See maconga.org for other nearby attractions. Also highly recommend The Air Force museum. See: http://www.museumofaviation.org/visit/planyourvisit/ 26 miles from our place.
We stayed overnight. The location is half way between our cabin in North Carolina and Florida so worked out perfect for us. The host was accommodating and gave us detailed information about the surrounding area. The site was quite and beautiful, located in a wooded area. Highly recommend.
Dear Anne and Ken, you have been wonderfull and gentle hosts. Your kindness was greatly appreciated as much as our evening conversation on the balcony. You are a great couple, helpfull and dedicated. We recommend your beautifull place to everybody. it would be a pleasure to see you in Quebec one of those days.
Suzanne and Louis
Our hosts were very friendly, accommodating, and prepared with local information very helpful for guests. We had a very peaceful overnight in a beautiful location. We will certainly be stopping by again on our travels through Georgia!
Another great visit with our Boondockers Welcome extended family. Always looking forward to staying here and also meeting up with them out on the road. Great location just off I-16 and easy access to parking area.
GA Gypsies deserve the highest designation! From start to finish & beyond, they were incredibly responsive & helpful. They accepted my one day prior request, coordinated arrival time & met me in the driveway to help me park my rig.
The property is pristine, quiet & beautiful in the spring time. The wild turkeys wandering in the evening mist were a delight to watch, and the song birds in the morning were lovely. I had the best night's sleep in a long time.
Ken text me regularly to be sure I was comfortable & offered to direct me out on to the road as I was leaving. I slipped away so as not to disrupt their morning & received a 'nice to meet you' text. So thoughtful!
Upon arrival at my next destination, I realized my gas card had fallen out of my pocket. After a thorough search of the RV, I text Ken on the slight chance it was on the property. Sure enough, he located it & went directly to the PO to mail it to me.
Thank you, GA Gypsies, & thank you BoondockersWelcome for the opportunity to stay in such lovely locations!
Our first Boondockers stopover for this our farewell trip to the US. Ken and Ann have been great hosts and welcomed us into their home and shared memories of Australia over a glass of wine. Thank you again guys for letting us stay and sorry it could not have been longer. Best wishes Phil and Jo.
We had a great, peaceful easy going stay with Ken. He was very kind and informative we are very greatful for all his info on the area and cool things to check out. Hopefully next time we will stay longer and have more time to chat! Thanks again!
Ken and Anne are some of the most genuine, kind and hilarious folk we have met. Our request was accepted quickly and Ken was there to help us get set up when we arrived. The spot is flat, quiet, shady and they are even thoughtful enough to have information and local guide books. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them and sharing stories into the night. Could not recommend enough!
We were only supposed to stay 2 nights but had such fun Ken and Anne asked us to stay longer and we gladly accepted. What a delightful couple! What a wonderful place to stay. Not only is their site delightful with breezes, privacy, birds chirping and blissful quiet at night but they are the most gracious and fun hosts. I got to go berry picking with Anne, then we all (another guest included) had a pot luck dinner and then the last day we went with Ken and Anne to Macon to experience the Cherry Blossom festival. But the best part was feeling what BDW is all about. We shared our experiences and places we've been (or are going) in common and had lots of laughs along the way. We look forward to be able to stay here again someday and being able to host them at our place. We are leaving here sad that it has ended so fast but with big smiles from wonderful memories and friendships made.
Ken and Anne kindly allowed me to stay longer than requested. This area is an artist's paradise. I am so inspired I'm on a roll and they allow me uninterrupted time to exercise my creativity. And always invite me for the evening get togethers with other guests around the fire. What could be better than that? I highly recommend them and wish them happiness on their road trips.
Ken and Anne were terrific hosts and made you feel at home. The site had everything you needed. The property was filled with dogwood trees that were in bloom and were beautiful. If you ever find yourself between Savannah and Atlanta Ken and Anne's place is a must stay
This was our second stay with Ken and Anne, and they are just the sweetest people ever. We stayed one night on our way up to SC and enjoyed it so much we decided to stay again on our way back down. :)
We all had a great time and cannot recommend these wonderful hosts enough. If they make it out to the Pacific Northwest, they have an open invitation to visit anytime! Thanks again, Ken and Anne!
We had a wonderful stay with Ga Gypsies. They are the most welcoming hosts! The site was perfect and they had a full set of booklets and info packages about the area. Great idea that I will try to set up on our host site.
We really enjoyed visiting with both our hosts and the other boondocker family who were there at the same time.
A special thank you for allowing us to do laundry...what a treat not to have to go to the laundromat!
Ken and Anne were the perfect hosts. They made us feel so welcome and comfortable. Their property is lovely and private. They had power and water for us to use and had room for two others as well. When we were there we were lucky enough to have other campers there too. We all got to sit around the fire one night with wine and stimulating conversation. We hope to get to see Ken and Anne again when they come to western Canada in a couple of years. They are such interesting and warm people.
This was our first time as Boondockers, and we must admit that GA Gypsies have spoiled us for everyone else. Communication was so prompt, I'd swear they sent answers even before I finished asking a question! This charming couple picked up on our needs and interests and offered suggestions for restaurants and activities that were specific to us. The site is beautiful. We spent hours outdoors in the evening sharing wine, stories and laughter with the GA Gypsies and the other lovely family boondocking with them the night we stayed. A perfect stay with caring, captivating, fun-loving folks whose joie de vivre is obvious and catching. Thank you, GA Gypsies. We are hopeful and confident that our paths will cross again one day. In the meantime, you have our highest recommendation.
We had a wonderful stay at Ken and Anne's place! They guided us in, welcomed us as family and hosted a spaghetti dinner for our family of four, the other BW visitors and a friend....complete with a bourbon-frosted angel food cake.
We're from the Pacific Northwest...so we'd heard rumors about this thing called "southern hospitality"...and now we know exactly what that means! It's downright inspiring to see the generosity and kindness that they offer to others.
We're already planning our next visit back. :)
Cannot recommend enough. Thanks, Ken and Anne! xo
We had such a nice time with the Georgia Gypsies! What a great place to park and relax. Hoping they come visit us in PA!
We had a great time staying with GA Gypsies for 2 nights, on our way toward Rome, GA. Their yard was peaceful, relaxing, and was easy to maneuver into. We had an awesome time chatting with our hosts over a few glasses of wine, and would love to come back if we are passing by again in the future!
After a long day, we arrived to a beautiful property and a very warm and welcoming host. Though we were only there for a night, Ken went out of his way to make sure we got all settled in... and even helped us on our way the next morning. Our first boondockers welcome experience was wonderful! Thanks again, GA Gypsies!
Great access, great site and incredible hosts. During our stay they invited us to a local tractor show and craft fair. Then they invited us to have lunch at a local BBQ restaurant. But it didn't stop there. They also gave us a tour and the history of the town. The weather in the area had been very wet and heavy rain was predicted on our day of departure so they offered us to stay an additional day, which we took them up on. We also enjoyed some conversation over some beverages. Very personable and friendly people.
When we arrived we were greeted promptly with a warm and friendly welcome. They explained where to park and hook up to utilities. The hosts have prepared a large box full of local and tourist information. The information box is very helpful & thoughtful for "boondocker" visitors. Wish we could have spent more time together with the hosts but we didn't have the chance. They are very kind, pleasant couple and made our stay the best! We felt very welcome. We hope we will be able to come and stay again sometime in the future. They go out of their way to help you in anyway they can and have great suggestions of things to do in the area. Thank you for the pleasant stay at your home and for making us feel comfortable.
Sorry we were just passing thru. These two are wonderful hosts. Sorry they don’t live closer. We would be regular friends. Hope we pass thru in the future.
We had another great visit with GA Gypsies and another great super bowl party even though the game was a low scoring affair. As usual these folks were most generous and hospitable. Glad to have had the chance to re-visit.
Outstanding hosts who made us feel right at home. Our hosts went out of their way to make sure our stay went smoothly. They have a very private location and a great setup for overnight stays. During our stay we saw a spectacular sunset as we were eating our dinner. On their property there are a huge number of beautiful camellia bushes/trees and when I asked if it was okay to take photos of the many different flowers they gave permission to wander around their property. We felt relaxed and safe and even plugged into power which was super awesome. Loved chatting with both "Gypsies" and felt like we made new friends. Thanks so much for making our very first experience with Boondockers welcome a great one!
You made our Christmas holiday perfect & wishing we could have stayed longer. Every detail for an excellent camping experience was well orchestrated by GA Gypsies. It started with excellent communications & contintued after meeting us as we arrived. Loved our conversations & especially the rip-roaring Hand & Foot card games. We left feeling more than family!
After our stay was accepted they gave us clear instructions and information to get to their home. When we arrived Ken was there to welcome us. We chatted for a little bit and he showed us where the electric and water hookups were, and also showed us the box that has information about the area. This was our first Boondockers Welcome experience and it was an excellent one. If we're ever in the area again (this was an overnight stay) we'll definitely stop by again. Thank you GA Gypsies!
We had a wonderful time at GA Gypsies! Our hosts were fantastic! From the moment we arrived they welcomed us as if we were family. Our host was helpful with getting us parked on the property, which by the way, is a lovely, peaceful, private, area. We had the opportunity later that evening to share stories and learn more about each other and the area. Our hosts are genuinely nice, accommodating, and fun folks. If we did not have such a tight travel schedule we would have stayed longer! We will plan on GA Gypsies for our return trip this spring! Thank you both for making our adventure a memorable one!
If you're ever traveling anywhere close to the Ga Gypsies don't miss the opportunity to stay with them. This was our 2nd stay and will definitely not be our last. Their lovely family home along with their warm personalities make you feel like you're part of their extended family.
Superb! Great experience. Wonderful site and even better host. We were greeted on our way in and escorted out with a smile and helpful hand. Not only did we enjoy the quietness of their spot and conversation but when we forgot our power cord, they drove it to us citing the hassle of coming back for it. The host was safety conscious and very professional. If you are ever in the area we recommend you stop by and see them, we are glad that we did.
We had another visit here, and the hosts were very accommodating as always. Great place!
These folks are very helpful and have a great quiet spot to stay. It’s great that they have 30 and 50 amp hookups and water. We’ll definitely be coming back!
If you like friendly experienced RVers who are also interested in your RV life, Ken and Anne are the hosts for you.
They have the "right stuff:"
Quiet private setting, pleasant landscaping, utilities if you want them, roomy and easy to maneuver to park,
and ready to share cheer & RV tales if you want to.
Excellent hosts, warm people, well-traveled RVers, good conversationalists.
Do visit these folks.
Wow! The Georgia Gypsies really have this host thing down to a science! Most accommodating with a better-than-many-campgrounds type of setup. They also had a little "Info Box" with most helpful printed instructions and a list of things to do in the area and we used it! Super friendly and glad to say we have yet another new friend via Boondockers Welcome.
Ga Gypsies communicated quickly every step of the way, Very helpful and informative. Hw spent the extra time with me to get parked and situated so I could get a satellite signal. He definitely went above and beyond. A good location and a very well stocked information box with local info. GA Gypsies thank you for Hosting us. Rick
This was just an overnight stay on our return trip from Florida. Wish we could have stayed longer, GA Gypsies were very accommodating with a perfectly level spot with power and water. Their property is beautiful with dogwood trees and camellia bushes. We sat on the porch and talked for hours about each others camping experiences and about their family home. We will definitely be coming back and hope to meet some time on our travels. Be sure and stop if you have the opportunity to visit with the Ga Gypsies.
We stayed 2 days here. What a great stay! We would have liked to stay longer, but could not. We will surely come back!
GA Gypsies are super hosts! GA Gypsies greeted us and helped us park. He also had ready some tourist and emergency info. Just that was exceptional! They also have a fantastic set up with a camping spot surrounded by beautiful trees, perfectly level on concrete (isn’t that a treat?) AND protected from rain by a roof so we could sit out and grill even though it was pouring rain! Sitting on the porch after we toured beautiful Macon, we had great conversations about all sorts of things, from travels to snakes. Thank you so much GA Gypsie for memorable good times!
Very gracious host. They provided information on activities to do around the area and a little book to answer all your questions, which is a fabulous idea.Nice level private spot. They had the same make trailer as us so we talked alot about that. We could of had a fire but too cold at night. Very accommodating and we thoroughly enjoyed the wine and desert at night. Thank you GA Gypsies. Travel safe this summer see you later fall we hope
These gypsies are absolutely great folks! We will be disappointed if our paths don't cross again but are confident they will. Warm and wonderful hosts with an awesome set up for boondocking. Highly recommended!
We've met all kinds of gypsies along the way, but Georgia Gypsies are the most wanderful ones yet! It is our hope that they will wander over our way soon for 2.0!
GA Gypsies are two of the nicest people you could meet. They were wonderful hosts and went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. We had so much in common and loved the conversations we had while we were there. We look forward to seeing you guys in the future.
The GA Gypsies are excellent hosts. We enjoyed their company immensely.
This was our very first experience with boondockers and we couldn't have asked for better hosts. There space is great and quiet surrounded by beautiful trees . We felt very safe and comfortable. They were also very helpful with information on a variety of travelling questions and sent us on our way well informed for the next leg of our journey. Many many thanks to them both for making our first boondocking experience such a wonderful memorable stay.
We spent one night at GA Gypsies place. What a nice, quiet location. For someone (Penny) who grew up with a train track right behind the house, this was heaven. They were super psyched that we were "their first," and they made every effort to make us feel at home; which we were. They met us just around the corner, as they weren't sure about us pulling in, towing a car behind a Class A motorhome. NOTE: You can pull into their property, then unhook.
We really enjoyed talking about Nova Scotia, as they were there last June, and we'll be there mid-August. We discussed places we've traveled, and it was enlightening to hear about where they stopped. This was great, but now we have to reroute our trip to include "pig wrestling" along the way!
We highly recommend GA Gypsies. They're close to the interstate if you travel that route, and they're also right off 441. They're gracious hosts, and we look forward to stopping in again when we're in the area.
