We live in Ball Ground, Georgia which is off I575 exit 27. I have a 13' x 26' concrete pad with a 12' by 26' steel carport with 11' height clearance to park on plus a gravel area and even a grassy area. I have water and 30 amp electric and a dump available. Pull through possible, plus pull in or back in. Rigs bigger than what will not pass through my carport can back in and park in front of it. That way you can have access to my power and possibly dump station. Big rigs can also pull in behind my carport, and back out when leaving. Depending on the length leveling might be needed. I also have a semi level spot in my yard, but if the ground is wet not good to park there. Quiet generator, no loud ones, we have neighbors and RV pad is close to our bedroom.
The Pleasure-Way Plateau XLTS that I owned fit in my covered carport area.
Just be nice, we are easy to get along with and enjoy having visitors.
All we ask is that when you leave you clean up and dispose of any trash in our trash can.
Pets need to be on a leash for their safety.
I ask that either I or someone watch your rig if you pull through my carport to make sure it fits and your are properly aligned.
My side yard driveway is on a one way street. A gravel driveway leads to my concrete parking pad.
I have plenty of space to park a tow vehicle, both on gravel or even a grassy area. The parking areas are either in front or behind RV pad or about 20 feet away on grassy area. There is pull through parking if your rig fits in my steel carport. Otherwise you can back-in in front of the carport and have access to 30 amp service. Pull in behind carport and back out to leave. I also have another area that you can back-in a bigger rig but no hookups there.
We are home most of the time, except when traveling. Send us an email to see if we have a spot for you.
We have a new place in town that is a neat place, Barrel House Coffee ( https://www.barrelhousecoffeeco.com/ ). They serve a truly unique coffee! You can walk to the Burger Bus, Chef Rosario’s Italian Kitchen, Les Bon Temps Louisiana Kitchen or Frankfurt Doner & Meats. Jill's Bakery has breakfast and lunch sandwiches and baked treats. We also have a great store in town called Ball Ground Hounds, they have a great selection of dog food, toys and other dog necessities. There are a several nice gifts shops in town. The Ball Ground Botanical Garden is an very short walk. Ball Ground is a small and unique town, the Tom Cruise movie American Made was shot in Ball Ground.
Spent a quiet evening. Enjoyed walking through and having dinner in this quaint town. ....you'll love the downtown food trucks and Burger Bus...all just a short walk from the host's location. It was pretty cold so we were happy for the offer of electric too.
Thanks for having us. You made us feel so welcome. We enjoyed our stay and sharing travel experiencs. Thanks for the coffee place suggestion.
Our hosts were extremely gracious and gave us great insides to the area. Their full hookups were a real treat! We will definitely be back whenever we’re in the area.
Ball Ground offers some of the last vestiges of good southern hospitality. Everyone welcomes you with open arms. The ladies even offer fresh herbs from the local botanical garden. Local German butcher has a great selection of meats right in the middle of downtown. Don't miss a chance to see Ball Ground. You local host is a great host and will put you in the right direction for everything Ball Ground!!
Great stay in Ball Ground. Highly recommend this location which has virtually full hookup. Don't forget to chip in for utilities. Property is adjacent to the local Botanical Garden where freesh herbs are in abundance! Don't forget the world famous Burger Bus...Burgers and Hot Dogs only. Local German butcher has a variety of meats available and a local Italian place is your in that mood. Two Brothers BBQ is a local favorite Thursday thru Sunday only. Less than an hour to the Braves game may delight some folks.
The host was very accomodating and has the spot with privacy for both parties if that's important for you.
I had a great stay here. My hosts were helpful and the covered boondocking area was great for my travel trailer. They supplied me with power and offered water as well. I got in a day later than expected but my host were very accommodating. Thanks for having me.
Lovely hosts. Thanks for the nice time we had together in your living room

We would have never gone to Ball Ground, GA if not for BW. Very pleasant town and enjoyed talking to our host, who provided a covered carport to stay in. Wonderful experience.
We were directed to park on a level, covered, concrete pad, as you see in the pictures. It doesn't get any better than that. We were warmly greeted and invited in for treats, which we actually declined as we had been in the RV all day and wanted to go walking to explore the town. They therefore supplied us with walking directions into town and we proceeded there. Ball Ground is a very nice small town with some quaint shops, a couple of nice restaurants, and so forth. In the morning they provided us with some excellent carrot cake to go! Definitely a great spot to stay.
Bill and Debra could not have been more gracious. Bill met us at the street, directed us to park under the canopy for their new coach. We had a wonderful chat and shared excellent cake
I very much enjoyed my stay at Ball Ground. Beautiful surroundings and the hosts were especially accommodating, generous and fun to get to know. Thank you for the wonderful carrot cake. If you stay at Ball Ground take the time to walk around the area and visit the botanical garden. I would love to stay if I get back your way. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience.
Even though they were not home they kindly let us stay the night. We enjoyed the small town of Ball Ground Georgia very much. The lovely women at the bakery didn't mind us spending the very rainy afternoon there playing cards while we coffeed and tried out the goodies!! Thanks again for a great stop over!
We just bought our rv a few months ago and this is our first real trip. Boondocking in Ball Ground was a perfect start. The location is just off the interstate far enough to enter a relaxed atmosphere. The area is quiet and is a great place to get your morning run/walk in. The host were real patient with me being my first time I had asked a lot of question. Great set up and niece folks plan on stopping in again! See Ya Carrol
We stayed at the location of "Boondocking in Ball Ground" and were amazed with the hospitality of the hosts. We are in a 25' class B and fit wonderfully on their level RV cement pad and high roofed open shelter next to their home. The location is near a well maintained (free) botanical garden and mere blocks from the quaint main downtown roadway. We traveled through on the July 4th long weekend and even enjoyed a masterful fireworks show by the City from our host's front porch. The next day we ate lunch at the unique Burger Bus hamburger place in town. This was a wonderful experience and we recommend this location anytime. Thank you "Boondocking in ..."
