We are located in a small community in a quiet, pretty lake region about 35 minutes from the center of Charlotte, NC. We have a view of a lake tributary.
Due to extreme sensitivity/allergy to smoke, no smokers please.
Quiet hours from 10pm to 7am.
Short, winding rural road with minimal local traffic along a lake tributary. A small hill and one sharp curve enroute but we have traveled easily with both truck/trailer and Class C. Must back up a driveway into a gated backyard area to park. Parking is not level (slope 1 foot per 25 feet) but is on solid turfstone drive. Prefer RV height be no more than 11 feet due to overhanging branches.
Tow vehicle can be put in the same area, parked behind the rig.
We are generally home unless out RVing ourselves. We welcome guests any time of the year. Send us a message to check on availability and to make sure we're home.
We are 40 minutes from downtown Charlotte, less than one hour to US National Whitewater Center, Mooresville Nascar race shops, Lazy 5 Ranch, Tiger World, Carolina Raptor Center and Latta Plantation. We are about an hour from Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord and the NC Transportation Museum in Spencer, two hours from Asheville and Black Mountain, 3 hours from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.
Such wonderful hosts, helped me back...I joined them for dinner, great conversation. Nice quiet area Thank you so much
Wow, KaRonC are one of the most lovely couples I ever met. Very caring and extremely welcoming, willing to share there multitude of knowledge....I left their home a better person and I think we will be long life friends. Can't wait to see them again.
I will say I just pulled in, while pulling up I was met the gates were being opened. The backing in wasn't bad and with the host spotting it was a piece a cake. I wasn't but parked and I'm being hooked up to power. I will say the Boondockers host I have encountered is a <emoji> percent better then any campsite. Thanks for everything already. If you need a comfortable spot for a layover don't hesitate to contact these folks. I will be stopping again.
I stayed with these folks in June of 2017 for an overnight while enroute to Linville Falls in western North Carolina.I appreciated how they welcomed me and allowed Lizzie and I to stay the night at their place. I will say that anyone wishing to accept their hospitality be quite comfortable in maneuvering their rig into tight quarters. If you are, then definitely give these folks a shout if you find yourself traveling that way!
