House Rules

Quiet hours from 10pm to 7am. We require arrivals at least 30 minutes before sunset to ensure safe back-in of your rig. Due to extreme sensitivity/allergy to smoke, smokers are asked to please smoke in the confines of their RV/trailer only.

Location

Access Road Conditions: Winding, wooded rural road with minimal local traffic along a lake tributary. A small hill and one sharp curve enroute but we have traveled it easily with both truck/trailer and Class C. The guest must be able to back their RV up a driveway through a 12 foot gate into a fenced backyard area to park. Parking space is not level (slope 1 foot per 25 feet) but is on a turfstone drive. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Tow vehicle can be parked in front of the gate.

Long time RVers always ready for new adventures Details: We love to camp in our RV and through the years have gone from tenting to pop-ups to trailers and now own a small motorhome. We enjoy a vagabond type of journey these days, pointing ourselves in a general direction and seeing what the world offers around the next corner. When home, we are active gardeners and carpenters, and active volunteers in our community and church family. We love meeting new folks and sharing experiences. Home Town: Denver NC Favorite Boondocking Locations: We are just beginning to explore boondocking though we have used Cabela's, Camping World and truck stops with RV spots with success. Skills or Expertise to Share: We have many "jack of all trades" skills from mechanics to carpentry, plumbing, gardening, and general household nice-things-to-know. We're pretty self sufficient and hope to remain that way for many years to come.

We had a wonderful, peaceful night here. Ron & Karen are super hosts! We appreciate them so much for opening their home to us. This is probably the nicest place we’ve ever boondocked. Highly recommend! Would give them more that 5 ⭐️ if we could.

What a nice quiet spot with a lake view! Ron and Karen were welcoming hosts. There was plenty of space to park and a power hookup. They provided lots of information about the local area, and they shared their wifi with us. We enjoyed hearing about Ron's naval adventures. We would definitely stay again.

Picture-perfect back yard haven, a more than comfortable spot to take a breath and relax. Karen & Ron were consummate hosts thinking of every detail, very welcoming and accommodating. Not the easiest spot to get into, backing skill definitely required. 30amp, water & wifi and a lush yard for the dogs to roll in the grass was a nice bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
