I am in rural Hernando County, Florida. We have the ability to handle RV's up to 30' long. Trailers that is from bumper to hitch ball. Near world famous Weeki Wachee Springs and only an hour from Tampa or Orlando. We have full hookup on a designated rv site.
Due to Covid 19 direct contact will be limited. Please don't take it personally.
Leave the site like you found it and clean up after your pet is all I ask.
I am 7 miles West of I-75. The site is located on 3 acres of property. There is paved access onto our property from a well maintained county road. The pad is gravel and level. There are oak trees but they should not be a problem. There is a hill that blocks the view of our drive coming from the East. Use 25626 Powell Road for GPS purposes (Our neighbors address). Look for a black fence and a orange cone on your left (South side). I Highly Recommend that Everyone especially Travel Trailers come in from the East. It can be a little tricky to turn in with longer rigs. There is a 12' gate to enter through. I will be happy to provide more detailed directions.
We have plenty of space so you can park next to your rig.
Site will be available most anytime except when I am traveling. Advance notice will be appreciated.
Weeki Wachee Springs, Homosassa Springs, and other small places of interest.
Other attractions near me are Tarpon Springs, Honeymoon Island and beaches to the South.
John is an amazing host. This was our first Boondocker’s experience and John went over and beyond to welcome us. He was at the gate standing in the rain waiting for us to arrive in our rig. He helped us park and gave us detailed information on hookups and wifi. His site was perfectly leveled. We met for dinner at the dock. John’s camp is absolutely beautiful. He gave us great tips as we embark this new journey. Thank you John! We’ll definitely be back to visit. With gratitude Roly & Di.
John is just the consumate host, welcoming and helpful. There is plenty of space to get in and out (gate is a bit tight if you have a large rig) but manageable nontheless. I coul have stayed a month; we hope to be back! - Dennis and Pamela.
The host was welcoming and hospitable. The RV site and surroundings were as described, perfect for us We hope to be able to stay there again.
We like how they have their campsite set up. Quaint and authentic. A very congenial host. Enjoyed the pond side conversations and history lessons. Would like to return in the future.
John is one of the nicest gentlemen you’ll ever meet and his site is extraordinary. It has a level, gravel pad, full hookups, and includes a fire pit and nice seating area under a gorgeous shade tree. Thanks to John for being such a pleasant host and offering the gift of your company this morning. People like you make the world a better place!
We absolutely loved our stay here, we felt like we were at a campground...but better. You have your own space, hookups, and even a fire pit. The host made sure to welcome us and give us some tips. We enjoyed our conversations with him and we wouldn't hesitate a bit to return if we are ever in the area again. Great experience, feels like home.
Thank you for letting us stay. We enjoyed the beautiful property and full hookups. This is a great place and very nice host. We enjoyed talking to him.
Great host! The place is beautiful and we enjoyed full hookups! We appreciate that very much. We’re very thankful we got to stay here. Easy to find, easy to backup, and very convenient. We enjoyed talking to our host.
Thank you for being an awesome host. Your property is one of our favorites so far. Awesome small pond with catfish which was awesome for our little one to see and feed.
The blueberry farm next door has picking yourself available and we got awesome blueberries from there.
We couldn't ask for more. Staying at Camp Neff was very relaxing. John has all the hookups you would need. It's secluded and very quiet overnight. John greeted us right away and was very hospitable. We sat by the pond in the evening to wind down after a busy day. We can't say enough nice things about Camp Neff and the host. There is a lot to do in the area. We would love to stay there again.
Our stay was all that and more. John communicated with us throughout, we made a new friend, shared stories and even fished a little. Got together immediately as John met us upon arrival, showed us around and assisted with rig placement. The site has nice touches in addition to the fire pit and shade trees, some solar light by the bench and end tables, the sounds of the roosters down the road and a few cattle sounds too. Traffic in the area dies down at night but isn’t bad during the day.
We had a Saturday afternoon get together on the dock gazebo then off to dinner. The pad for the site is nice and flat, elevated and backs up to the morning sun while sunsets are over the pond and the wooded horizon.
Thank you John and we look forward to seeing you again
We were given privacy but also shared time with our host, as he also recommended activities and coordinated schedules.
We really enjoyed our stay at camp Neff lake. Beautiful piece of property lots of space just for us. We enjoyed our evening with our camp host. We especially enjoyed watching the fish in the pond have a little snack. The evening by the pond was very special, we enjoyed visiting with our host. Our campsite was beautiful, the trees, the grounds were amazing. Rural setting. Level site with full hookups. We especially liked the special touches we felt welcomed. we spent one of our days in tarpon springs, I highly recommend it. At the tarpon springs sponge docks. Lots of local shopping that is not too far away. Thank you to our host we enjoyed your company. Wonderful campsite. Thank you for your hospitality looking forward to seeing you again.
Great host and very informative. Enjoyed the beautiful property and the wildlife. Our compliments to the host for providing all the necessary amenities. Will be back to visit again soon.
Camp Neff lake is beautiful spot. Our host was so hospital and works very hard to provide an oasis for strangers to come and friends to leave. The downside is it gave my wife all sorts of ideas to try to make our yard this nice. Sadly it rained a lot while we were there so we were unable to get to know our hospitable host well. I guess we’ll have to return again
John and this site certainly exceeded our expectations. The location is just far enough off the busy path for it to be quiet and safe. The parking pad is level with everything you need. John even has firewood ready to go for your campfire. He is a wonderful host, offering nearby sites of interest. We definitely have made a new friend!
This is my second visit. John was a gracious host. Enjoyed talking with him by the pond. Will definitely come again if I’m the area.
John is the perfect host. Will give 6 stars /5
Happy hours, sunset, nice chat with John
Electricity, water and ........ sewer !
We really enjoyed our stay
What a great boondocking experience! J provides a level parking space with plenty of room, WiFi, water, electricity, a handout with everything we needed to know, a gazebo by the pond, and great conversation. This is a gem!
It will be hard to top our stay at camp neff. Beautiful setting. Gracious host.
Thank you for hosting and welcoming us to your little Oasis with all the fixings!
Glad to have met you and having had some time to talk lakeside.
We hope that you’ll get a chance to travel again soon and, in the meantime, welcome some interesting Boondockers.
Stay was great. Had all the amenities you need. One of the most beautiful places I have stayed at.
This was an ideal spot for our 3-day stay in this area of Florida. John, thanks for your hospitality and your generosity. We couldn't ask for anything better.
Thank you again John! We enjoyed our stay and your hospitality. We were very sorry to hear about Pat😔. Thank you for the use of the water and plug-in. The shower and heater felt very good as the temperature dropped. We also enjoyed your recommendation of riding our bikes on the Withlacoochee Trail-beautiful... Two nights was a perfect lay over.
Sure did learn a lot here. Great place to stay, hope to stop in again . Can't wait to start seeing yellow. (ha ha) thanks again.
Arriving at camp Neff was pretty simple. The gate is a bit narrow, but no issues navigating it slowly. The site is just the most perfect spot ever! There's water electric & sewer!!! Just the cutest fire ring with a bench under a shade tree. So relaxing and truly appreciate all the little things they have put into making this spot so great! The host was very pleasant to talk with and we wish him well on his future journeys traveling again. We would love to come back here anytime. Thank you so much. Love the Beachs
Had a wonderful stay at Camp Neff Lake. Spent time talking with John on the deck next to the pond. He is a wonderful man and has a beautiful location for guests. Thank you John for allowing me to stay.
I spent several relaxing and enjoyable days at this beautiful spot. The host was welcoming and helpful. Flat area was easy to access. Thanks so much.
Camp Neff Lake is an amazing tribute to Pat and John's creativity and love of camping. John guided us into his lovely wooded property and elevated gravel paved site, which features full hookups -- including guest wi-fi. Our stay was peaceful and secluded, but also included a get-together to share stories over a glass of wine. What a privilege to stay in this little paradise!
We were most fortunate to have the opportunity to stay at John & Pat's. They made a lovely very private spot available for us. We wanted for nothing. Hope to have a chance to stay here again.
This is a great location level pad, and the full hook ups is a big plus. Had a chance to chat with Pat and John and to find out what interesting and wonderful people they are. I'll be back to this location someday I'm sure.
Happi-trails-2-u my good friends.
Had a peaceful great visit it was a short stay so didn’t get to visit this time but I hope they will come and visit me at my place. Great hosts❤️
A+ for this host! A very private site overlooking their pond, with full hookups.
We so enjoyed our stay. The property was beautiful and the host was so nice. 30 amp electric, water and sewer. They have a small pond with a dock. The dock has comfortable chairs and decorated nicely. I spent a lot of time there reading and enjoying the birds. Saw a stork, couple of woodpeckers and many more smaller birds. They have a bat house but forgot to ask if they had bats.
Would definitely return. You could not ask for a nicer place!
Very welcoming and kind hosts. The site is private and in a fancy resort-like setting. We needed a place to slow down and catch up on the to-do list and do some thinking. We also enjoyed the surrounding area: we took a long leisurely bike ride on a nearby several mile long trail designated for biking and walking. Wonderful experience and stay. Thank you!
John was very welcoming and checked with us to make sure we had everything we needed. Spacious space with electricity, water and dump station. Thank you for your hospitality.
Pat and John were some of the best people I’ve ever met! Their land was heaven it was private beyond beautiful in country setting. They welcomed me so kindly and helped me get in and they decorated the area so cute where my rv sat with painted stones,a fireplace ring and wood to use, a cute little bench underneath a tree with mason jar lights that come on at night. Electric, water,&dump. The last night I was there they invited me down on their veranda by the water and served 3 kinds of wine, cheeses &crackers&olives. We had an amazing time&great conversation. PURE HEAVEN. Thank you Pat&John! Hope to see you again someday(they welcomed me back). You guys are amazing people!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
This has been the most gorgeous place we have stopped so far and John was wonderful about seeing us settled and helping us get out in the morning. They were so helpful and had everything we needed to know written out so we didn't have to rely on our memory! Thank you so much for your excellent hospitality. Oh...and believe John when he tells you to back into the spot! haha
A private and peaceful boondocking experience with Camp Lake Neff. The site has full hookups. We spent our last evening with our hosts having a little wine and cheese and crackers on their dock overlooking the pond. It doesn’t get any better than that!😎
These are super hosts! They’ve created a private full hookup pad on their beautiful property. We spent a relaxing 3 nights here and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
We share many interests and we spent a happy happy hour chatting about them.
A great location and we enjoyed a nice visit with these folks on their lovely dock. Although it was rainy, the temperate was nice. We certainly hope to come back and visit sometime.
So nice to see you again. Seems like we’ve known you forever. Beautiful location and beautiful place. Loved the FL hills. Hope to get together again, your place or ours.
It's always a plaisure to see Pat and John they're so kind.
Thank you for all and see you next year.
We recently stayed for 3 nights at Camp Neff Lake. John’s communication and directions were great and the site beautiful and flat set amongst shady trees with full hook up available. The location is ideal for visiting local Weeki Wachee and Pine Island. On Saturday afternoon we enjoyed a drink, snack and lovely chat with the hosts down at their lake. What a treat! Highly recommend.
Enjoying a morning coffee in the gazebo overlooking the pond was a great way to start the day and chatting with our host made it even more interesting.
And they even have a printed sheet for new arrivals explainj g all you need to know. Thanks.
Their property is lovely, pond with deck & beautiful trees. Hosts are wonderful too. Great visit!
Their guest place is perfect. Seat, fire ring and wood. Enjoyed sitting on the dock with them, watching John's "pet fish".
Our hosts were very friendly and outgoing. Provided us with electric, water and sewer hookups! Had a wonderful time chatting with them on their dock with great conversation. It was like visiting with old friends. Would love to visit with them again in the future. Everything we love about Boondockers Welcome.
We just had such a needed relaxing and productive stay over at Camp Neff. We truly enjoyed the land and how welcoming they were. We got to finish a lot of necessary projects on our old little rig! We got to make smoothies with their fresh bananas from their banana tree and enjoy playing cribbage on their gorgeous dock. We even learned little tips from their rig that we are going to add to ours! 💗 truly an amazing place and hope to be back one day! 🙂
We enjoyed our stay with Pat and John. You really can't find nicer folks. They were super friendly, helpful, and made us feel like old friends. I can't say enough good about them. Thank you both for your hospitality and generosity!
This was an amazing visit! Pat and John made us feel welcome long before we arrived. They were very responsive with emails. John met us at the driveway and showed us to our private, fully equipped, spot. Their son had lived on it for six months before they became hosts. At 4:30 we joined them on the dock of the pond to enjoy wine and snacks. We talked for quite a while as we watched the catfish eat dinner. We were invited to return and will certainly try to on our next trip to FL. Thank you Pat and John!!
What a nice location, reminds of us home with pond and all (except now it is covered with snow). Really enjoyed happy hour with them and hope they can visit us in Canada. We give them 5 stars.
PJ and Bill
The hosts are the type of couple that exemplifies Boondockers Welcome, incredibly welcoming, exceptionally gracious and generous, and extraordinarily hospitable. They host from a very attractive property in the “hill country” of Florida. One of the significant attractions they have is a Boondockers site with all the amenities, including a fire-ring and wood. We spent two evening on their gorgeous dock in the middle of a pond where we helped feed catfish in the evening and enjoyed watching the sun go down behind the banana trees. They are well read and great conversationalists. We look forward to seeing them again.
We are so glad to have discovered this beautiful rural area with its rolling hills, and who knew that staying at Broken Glass Pond and getting to know Pat and John would be one of the highlights of our stay in Florida. Our camping spot was in a tranquil setting complete with electric, water, sewer and a fire pit. We enjoyed visiting with our hosts on their patio and their dock overlooking the pond and appreciated their recommendation to eat at the Florida Cracker Kitchen. We plan on staying here again next year and hope that Pat and John will visit us in Michigan!
What can we say about Pat and John that hasn't already been said? These are two of the kindest people we have met on our journey, from start to finish. First of all you're immediately spoiled by having full 30 amp hookups, with water and dump. Then you're invited to social hour on the dock of the pond. We had something come up, and all they wanted to do was help, and make our stay as enjoyable as they could. You couldn't find nicer people in Florida. We came as strangers, and leave as friends. We will definitely stay in touch, and if we are ever in the area we will stop by without hesitation.
We enjoyed a very relaxing stay. Happy we added this stop to our travels. Pat, John and their new rescue Mojo were very kind hosts. We enjoyed spending time getting to know each other by their fish pond while enjoying some wine and cheese. Our camping area was very comfortable and had all the amenities we needed including a fire ring. We look forward to staying here again in the future.
This is our second stay with Pat and John and you couldn’t ask for better people. We were sad so be leaving but so grateful for our time together. Please look us up if you make it to Australia otherwise we will come back in a few years !
Pat & John,
This experience at your spot in Broken Glass Pond was truly more than anyone could ask for! Your correspondence and directions were great. The park like setting with all the amenities was more than one could get in an rv park, except yours had no neighbors 15 ft away! Your little piece of heaven is #1 in my book and a asset to Boondockers Welcome. Thanks again!
Our stay with Pat and John was just right! Pat welcomed us our first evening, helping to back the trailer in. The site was very nice. It is a leveled sandy/rocky spot on a slight hill in a private area of their property. Although we had plans to travel into the Tampa area, both Pat and John made an effort to invite us to their dock for a very nice wine and cheese date. It was a really nice way to ground and even off the busy days. Throughout the evening we enjoyed great conversation and some good laughs.
They were more than generous, as they let us borrow a sewage hose because ours wasn't long enough. We had a little trouble figuring out our next destination and Pat and John offered us to stay an extra night so we could pin down travel plans.
We definitely recommend Pat and John's place not only for the physical space, but for community!
ps. They recycle and compost!!
From the moment we arrived we felt welcome. Pat and John welcomed us with open arms. We spent time on the dock sharing stories over cheese and wine while the kids played and fed the fish. They are such wonderful people and it was so hard to leave. We will be back so the men can get creative and We can come up with a few ideas on the dock. So happy to have some new Floridian friends !
We highly doubt any other boondocking experience will ever top this one! Pat and John treated us like royalty. Relaxing on the dock with wine and cheese and great conversation was wonderful. And Baby bunny really enjoyed feeding the catfish :) Thank you both so very much! Your friendship and generosity is greatly appreciated, we hope to be able to host you as well someday soon.
This trip was a bit spur of the moment. John and Pat responded to my request within hours and the next day I was on the road, back roads that is through beautiful Florida citrus country. This isn't exactly boondocking...lol. They have set up a fabulous site with a flat level pad, full hookups, fire pit and sitting area. On top of all that they invited me down for a glass of wine on their beautiful pavillion overlooking a stunning pond. I know we will stay connected and I hope to be back. My other hope is that I will be able to host them at my home. Thank you both for a wonderful evening.
It was our pleasure to be hosted by Pat and John and to have the honor of being their first guests. We are so happy to have met them and hope to visit again. Their property is a beautiful and serene oasis and the site itself is top notch. Pat and John were gracious, hospitable, and friendly and we were happy to have a chance to relax and converse with them and meet their son (and Ruby!). We felt like we were family and we hope to see them again soon. Thank you!
