1.5 ac, treed with small pond. Good solar spots available. Gravel base at the moment. We have space for both Smaller Class B/C or 1 Class A/Super-C (<34') on mostly level ground. Limited hookups and have water accessible. No dump station, although we can arrange to dump via our waste pump to our septic (in emergancy). Perhaps next year. In process of landscaping and leveling, but have good access and space.
Warning, we have deer in area, so dogs need to be controlled on leash. Should you are arrive after dark, you might experience them walking by you spot in our forest anytime, so plan on enjoying the moment.
Due to fire danger, no smoking is allowed away from the designated RV pad. For those without a electrical hook up, you can not use a generator, in some cases where we can locate your unit away from local houses, quite time is generally after 10 pm. Departures are expected prior to 11:30 am, unless otherwise arranged.
All visitors must depart the proporty by 9:30 pm unless approved, otherwise.
All guests are reminded that they share this area and that loud noise is not allowed at anytime. Respect for others privacy is expected.
Good country roads to access drive, then gravel to assigned RV areas. I pull a 5th Wheel and road is built for heavy loads.
Due to our nieghbor’s construction and activities near our driveway, we have to limit the size of trailers to under 30 feet and MH’s to 32’. This will change next fall when this activity has been completed. At the moment, construction has been stopped due to an engineering requirement, but this has resulted in access challenges this spring.
We have parking for a Tow or Dingy vehicle. The site is on our back graveled area with water and 200/30/50 amp service (we ask a donation of $5/stay). Plenty of space to walk about. Dogs are welcome but need to be controlled, as we have deer that come to feed and drink at our ponds.
Please note, we plan to travel to Northern Canada, June to October, 2017. We will likely have a grounds person available during this time period, so check. Our neighbor may be doing a shop and driveway construction project, so plan on some working noises from 8a-5p, week days. But this is about 500 feet from the pad location.
We are located next to The Woodlands with its many Village communitie. We have many restaurants, a theater and shopping within just a few miles. Including a water park within 4 miles. Several Horse Stables offering riding or events and in the fall we have the Renascence Festival and German Festivals to enjoy. Farmers Markets are held on Saturday mornings in several locations around the area. Tomball has many Old Tresure Stores to wonder through.
Thanks so much for a great stay. We had a lovely evening braaing(SA for grilling), chatting and catching up on years gone by. Amazing hosts whom we hope to visit soon again. Thanks and Totsiens.
Lou was very gracious and helpful. We had water, power, and he even let me use his washer and dryer. He even happened to be from my hometown! ( or nearby, I can’t remember). Over all we had a great stay in the beautiful Houston area.
Had a great stay with Lou and wife. Provided a level parking spot with electric. Had water and ability to empty gray tank but we didn't utilize either. Area is residential but very private and quiet. We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return.
We enjoyed our two-night stay here. It's fairly quite except for the occasional train that comes through which really isn't too bad. Lou helped direct us on where to get parked, where the hookups were if we needed them, and provided a just an all around great experience. Thanks for the stop Lou! Best of luck in your upcoming travels! :)
The host was very responsive to our stay requests and communicated really good directions to their site. Nice and quiet spot with plenty of room for our trailer and our dog to walk. This was an excellent jumping off spot to see Houston.
This was by far a great introduction to Boondocking! We were greeted warmly on a blustery day. Lou and Gillian were gracious hosts who's site did not only live up to, it exceeded expectations. Not only were we able to connect water and electrical, they offered us a space heater to fend off the cold.
Being former sailors, we had a lot in common and shared cruising stories. They offered us some great advice about land cruising.
Thanks to you both and hoping to see you again as we head east.
We were passing through the Houston area on our way to Austin and Lou was very accommodating for our one night stay. Prompt messaging and phone calls. We ended up getting in later than we anticipated but he was super flexible and has a great property for RVers. Would have stayed longer if we didn't have a deadline in Austin.
Great communications and very accommodating host. Nice gravel parking with easy access and electric hookup. Nice place and close to all Houston attractions. Highly recommended!
Quiet and convenient to some family in the Woodlands. Nice area and spacious property. Lou was very cordial and visited about being in our state, definitely is a very good place to boondock.
