Our camping site is located in our back yard. The space is large enough to handle any size camper. Access is down gated road next to a lake. Campfire location next to the water. Plenty of firewood available. Eagle nest in the yard.
3 miles of paved road west of town. 300 yards of gravel to access our back yard. Excessive snow in the winter may make it impossible to drive to yard. The area is wooded.
We are home most of the year. Please contact us to check our schedule. Snow may limit access to the parking location.
2 golf courses in the area. Many lakes. Minneapolis is 40 miles east.
This was our first time to try Boondockers Welcome and we couldn’t be more pleased. KNH Traveler was very welcoming, helped us get settled in, made sure we were comfortable and gave us lots of great tips for things to do in the area. We enjoyed watching the eagles in their nest (on site) and flying, the deer and overall serene location. Would highly recommend these hosts.
My daughter & I are traveling from the East coast to Oregon. We were having a hard time finding a camping spot & decided to contact the host. Even though we did not contact them until 3:00 the day of our stay, they got back to us right away. They have a beautiful spot on the water which is quite secluded & even has their own nature center in the backyard...2 young bald eagles nesting in the pine! I hope you both can plan a visit to the north east states of VT, NH & ME sometime. Thank you for the peaceful & quiet nights rest & being such a wonderful host.
This is an exquisite location on the Lake. Because of our size (40') we stayed in the driveway, but the location on the lower rear of the yard is right on the lake and looks like a magical location. Or host was welcoming and very accommodating and we had a lovely visit. If you are parking in the driveway, it is a bit narrow so you may want to get out and have confidence in your backing skills. We got a glimpse of the Eagles in flight which was spectacular. Perhaps the two baby eaglets will be flying by the time you visit.
Not that Barton Ave NW turns left twice before you get to #672 so pay attention!
Lots of green grass and great weather. We were able to see the eagles. Made sure we got settled and hooked up. Highly recommend this host.
Our GPS steered us the wrong way on our way to KNH Traveler. Ned was gracious enough to come rescue us, and get us settled in his driveway. Our hosts have a gorgeous yard and we enjoyed a great evening on their back deck, overlooking the lake, chatting about trips taken, plans to come, and dream destinations. Wonderful hosts!
We stayed a couple of nights at KNH Traveler, it it was great. We are new to Fulltime living, and RVing in general, it is always fun to arrive to our next location in the evening, and see it for the first time in the light the next morning. The next morning we woke up to a beautiful sunrise over the lake, it was breathtaking. We are blessed to have been able to stay in this fantastic, private, beautiful site for a few days. Most of all, the host was more than helpful, guiding us in, and offering advice to us newbies. We highly recommend staying here.
We were met at a nearby park by our host who guided us to the site. Nice, quiet location beside the lake. We had a short stay but were able to see the eagle nest near our site. Would not hesitate to stop back again.
