We stayed here on our way through Colrado. The site was on a very quiet cul de sac, and the host was most gracious. We arrived a little earlier than expected and the weather was still too warm to stay in the RV, so we walked about a block to a beautiful city park and relaxed under the trees and enjoyed the peaceful environment right there within the city. We even played catch with a tennis ball we found! Not a bad evening for 70 year olds.
We communicated a few times so I could confirm our arrival time. They had place a car in the space to ensure it was available. Provided us with a nice overview sheet with information about closest stores, etc and even offered their internet. Very quiet culdesac to sleep in! Would highly recommend.
We are having issues with our van. Gandalf42 was very accommodating and helpful. It was such a relief to have such a safe place to stay and not to have to worry about where to stay while dealing with the van issues. Very nice people! What a wonderful boondockers welcome experience. Thanks again so much!
Good location if you want to go to Rocky Mt NP! We had a great stay and enjoyed a quick chat the host. Thanks again!!
Gsndalf42 and the rest of the family were extraordinary hosts! They made my first Boondockers Welcome stay an absolute pleasure. Gandalf42 is very knowledgeable about RVs and was happy to answer questions about my new van. They even have a great information sheet with phone numbers of not only the family, but n case you need them, but of restaurants, hospitals, drugstores, hardware store and RV service! I can’t wait to return and stay with them again!
A great place to stop for the night, it was New Years Eve so there were fireworks in the neighborhood not the hosts fault at all! It was otherwise comfortable and safe. Had a quick chat and there’s a really nice info sheet he hands out, very useful!
So Grateful for a place to stop for an overnight. Quiet safe street parking. Great communication with us and they were so gracious to allow us to stay last minute and at this difficult time. Highly recommend. We met at hollar distance briefly and they seemed super friendly. Another wonderful boondockers welcome experience!
We had such a nice stay at mid-town stop! Our hosts were so gracious and helpful. From offering the use of their fenced-in yard for our canine companion, to allowing use of their excellent wi-fi connection, to providing information on local parks to even helping us get our mail sent, they were so helpful with our every need and wish. Mrs. Gandalf42 even offered to fix us lunch!
We enjoyed visiting with the family in the beautiful, shady backyard where we could view lots of wildlife. The neighborhood was VERY quiet. The sunflowers were in bloom outside our rig and we got to watch goldfinches from just inches away. We also liked hearing more about our hosts' RV adventures. It was great to connect with some other Class B enthusiasts who enjoy freestyle, relaxed travel!
These are such kind helpful people, we highly recommend this BW stop if you're in town. We hope to return again in the future.
Mike warmly welcomed me and helped me park in the spot on the cul de sac in front of his house. It was long enough for my 25' rig, but not quite level.
We sat in his back yard while my dog ran around. Mike's wife offered beverages and was welcoming, too.
Mike even ran a power cord out for me and researched rv repair places to help with a problem I was having with my towing set-up!
I ended up being invited to park at my niece's, so just stayed part of the day and evening. I recommend Mike's in Ft. Collins.
