Awesome spot, very quiet and close to Camden. Made for a beautiful weekend!
Beautiful small private campsite at the end of a well serviced dirt road in the woods. Easy to find and had no problems traveling down the road. Very peaceful & quite! Host lives near & is within walking distance. Host was very welcoming & provided a fire ring with wood, which we really enjoyed roasting hot dogs & marshmallows over. We enjoyed a quick friendly visit & conversation about RV buildouts, traveling etc with the host the next morning. Very nice & travel savvy couple!
What a peaceful night with clear, star-filled skies. This is how camping should be, out in the woods, absurdly dark and quiet. Host provided a fire ring and wood. Didn't get to meet them, but thankful for the experience. Everyone should do a night out here if you're in Maine.
We love beginning off the road and try to have a true Boondocking experience when we can. The dirt road in to the site felt just like a forest service road. We had a dark quiet night nestled in the woods.
In the morning we enjoyed getting to know our hosts.
Although we were not able to meet our hosts we are grateful we were allowed us to stay at the site. The two nights we spent at the site were peaceful and quiet. For those that need it, we had three bars of Verizon service.
We made a special effort to see these folks again after hosting them at our place. Fun and friendly with many interests and a real talent for boondocking! Looking forward to seeing the custom truck camper they are planning to build and hearing about their future travel adventures.
I love the north woods and this was it! Interesting conversation around a fire. Fun visit with this great couple and their spunky pup.
Nearby Camden is a coastal gem.
Best of luck with your future adventures.
Bumpy driveway but worth the jiggle. Peaceful and quiet. Super nice people
We had a peaceful stay in this quiet woods. Our host was very gracious and invited us in to warm ourselves and visit by the wood stove. Gravel road for the last mile gave us no trouble. Appreciated the opportunity for our first Boondockers Welcome overnight!
Could not have asked for better. Provided us a nice place to relax after a long cross country trip. And many long hours on the road.
A dirt road takes you way back in the forest to a quiet retreat. The parking space was pretty level a short walk to their home. Really off the grid. Justin came out to greet us and welcome us. A little buggy though, so we stayed inside.
We arrived just before sunset and made our way up the long dirt road to find a fantastically quiet oasis in the forest. The parking site was level and very private. Our hosts made us feel very welcome. We joined them for a wonderful evening of conversation in front of a warm and inviting wood stove. They were extremely helpful in pointing out the high points to visit in the area and exchanged tales of our travels further afield. If your looking for a place off the beaten path where you can listen to the leaves rustle and maybe even a coyote howell this is it.
Thanks so much for a wonderful visit!
