We live on 15 acres and have a pull through access for most rigs. 12 acre field for your pet to run free. The pull through is a quiet spot outside the fenced area but may have some traffic noise that usually stops around 9:30 pm - 7:30 am. Sadly, we only book 30 days out now because 'last minute' cancellations when booked too far advanced Andrew has an (at home) professional sharpening business so if you're here and need/want your knifes sharpened hit him up (no obligation) , $8-10+ CAD each (price depends on blade length) He also sharpens axes, garden tools, saws... if you have it he can sharpen it! Before you go we have a guest wall for you to sign! An old fashion General store/ bakery within walking distance from our house where you can order fresh baked bread for your morning (order the afternoon before to have it baked fresh for you) and the cake and cookies are fantastic (Earltown General Store). Please be aware that they have sporadic hours and sometimes close early. Lots of wilderness trails and a designated Wilderness area very close to the house. If you are looking for peace, relaxing and a place to just take a breath and say aahhhhhhh you've come to the right Boondocker. IF "Endless Journey" IS FULLY BOOKED "The Bear Necessities" IS ON THE SAME PROPERTY the only difference is that you would be in the upper field further away from road traffic. Suggested Local Attractions:We live in the middle of the wilderness with soooo much at arms length. 2 minutes walk - Earltown General Store 24 kms - Rushton’s Beach 39 kms - Blue Sea Beach 23 kms - The Tatamagouche Brewery 15 kms - Balmoral Grist Mill 33 kms - Tidal Bore in Truro 62 kms = Rafting the Tidal Bore in Maitland Area (Shubenacadie River Runners) a must for the adventure seekers 16 kms - Sutherland Steam Mill 40 kms - Jost Vineyards 0 kms - Go for a hike to find what’s left from the “Hermit of Gully Lake” a local interest (can find info about him on YouTube) We are a day trip (or a few hours) to Halifax, Peggy's Cove, Parrsboro/ Harbour View Restaurant/ Five Islands, and Sherbrooke Village on the Eastern Shore Area 24 kms - Tatamagouche 30 kms - Truro, Beautiful Victoria Park

House Rules

Most importantly, follow our directions for parking before you arrive so you have easy and SAFE access. Please arrive anytime before dark. Please be aware that we have a very large puppy. He likes to bounce and do puppy things. Enjoy yourself, respect others and the land. Please keep Garbage and food inside your RV as we have a lot of wildlife. They likely wont bother you or your belongings but if you leave trash outside you may wake to a mess. Please don't drop cigarette butts or ashes if you smoke. Take care when using flames of any kind during the dry season. Generators can run as long as you need it and it doesn't disrupt other boondockers that may be within ear shot.

Location

Easy access to the pull through as long as you follow the directions given when your request is accepted. May not be a pull through for very large rigs as the is a turn (you may have to back straight out depending on size and type of rig) The parking/boondocking is on a grassed lane that use to be the main road in the 1800's and early 1900's. You will need to find a level spot on the lane that is to your liking.

our hosts were so kind and gracious. we arrived after dark because we got lost in New Brunswick. our Parking spot is a pretty grassed lane running along their front fence. When daylight came, we felt like we were in a postcard. Our host and beautiful dog visited with us and told us more about their previous homestead and nearby small village. i have some great photos but this posting doesnt have an 'add photos ' option.

We were greeted by Patty and her dogs Belle and Brigis. Our dog Sadie had a blast running around with them. We were offered a choice of an open field away from the road, or near the house and road. The road is not busy. We sooo enjoyed visiting amd were glad we weren’t in a rush to leave. Nice to make friends. Access is easy. Please be courteous and avoid leaving ruts in the lawns, especially with heavy rigs. It’s a bucolic atmosphere. Thank you so much for hosting!

Andrew and Patty are fabulous people and we feel lucky to have been able to spend 3 nights on their beautiful property. It is ideally located near the Bay of Fundy, near PEI and even close enough to Halifax for a day's journey. We are so grateful to them for their hospitality and for being so helpful with suggestions on places to see (and even where to park). We thoroughly enjoyed meeting them and hope to stay in touch!

Marvelous location, fields and trees. Extremely helpful and courteous hosts. She let us know they would help us by phone if we needed information in our travels.

the site was nice and level. the hostess was friendly, the grass was cut and the property was clean. The access quite a drive from the main highway and was a little farther out of our way that we had thought. Overall a very nice place to stay
